Summary: Are You Getting Enough Oxygen?
Review: I have loved Space Ghost Coast to Coast from the very beginning. Watching the pompous and pretentious ego of Space Ghost constantly being pummeled by Moltar and Zorak, all the while being intellectually outwitted by his guests (including even Bob Denver) is an absolute joy to those of us that hate the inanity of modern talk shows. Taken as a whole, the different personas on Space Ghost Coast to Coast synergistically combine to produce the simultaneously best and worst talk show in history.

The episodes for this DVD set were carefully picked, and contain some of the greatest moments in talk show history. Among my favorites are: 'Batmantis', in which Zorak dresses as a superhero and the Ghost interviews two former Catwomen from the old "Batman" TV show; 'Birthday', where the Ramones torment Space Ghost by eating his cake; and 'Bobcat', in which Bobcat Goldthwaite unsubtly betters the Ghost.

As for weaknesses, the DVD set has few. I personally would have liked to have seen more Brak, but that's just personal taste. The only really glaring issue with the set is the lack of extras. There are episode commentaries on a couple of the episodes, which are great, but that's about it. Still all in all this is a DVD set that no lover of Space Ghost or lunacy in general should be without. I anxiously await future volumes.

Summary: Garbage
Review: I have seen episodes on Cartoon Network of this show that were hilarious. None of them are on this DVD. All of the episodes on this 2 disc set are very unfunny with very little exception. The only thing on here that I really like is the bonus feature "Zorak Does Jingle Bells". Aside from that, the only other thing on this DVD really worth checking out is the episode "Story House" in which this old man reads out of a story book to children the story of the previous episode while "Carl The Cartoonist" draws simple pictures to acompany his story. According to the commentary, that episode will not be shown on Cartoon Network again. I watched this whole thing once, didn't like it, then watched part of it again a few months later, then remembered why I didn't like it. This will probably just collect dust on my shelf from now on. Get the Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD instead. You can watch that thing many times and love it.

Summary: Space Ghost is Just Warming Up
Review: I have to say, I love Space Ghost Coast to Coast. I loooooove it. I am, in fact, a lover of all non-Anime cartoons aired during Cartoon Network's Adult Swim program (Sun-Thur beginning at 11pm). I found my sense of humor with Space Ghost in the ninth grade with the first album released, "Musical Bar-B-Que." That being said, I was more than a little disappointed with this first season. I didn't start watching until later seasons and had never seen any of these episodes before. Unfortunately, like "Futurama," another Adult Swim gem, it seems that it took the show a little time to get into the swing of things. Most of the comedy is just a little too off-kilter to really hit the mark and the pace is on the slow side. I had my laughs, but for the most part one would find me in silence during the viewing, eyebrows furrowed, wondering, "Why am I not loving this?" Eventually I came to the difficult decision to sell this first season, knowing it just wasn't worth the keeping. My advice is to wait, as I now am, for later seasons to be released.

Summary: Not the best of SGC2C
Review: I truly love this show. Unfortunately, nearly the entire first disk contains non-hilarious episodes. The second disk is much funnier.(...) It would have been better to put the best episodes on DVD, not just the first few seasons. Still, if you'd rather have some Space Ghost than none at all, this set is worth purchasing.

Summary: Cartoon Greatness
Review: I was so excited when it was annouced that the entire first season of SGC2C was coming to DVD, so I pre-ordered it (which I pretty much had to order it anyway, because I live in a town that is very much secluded from actual civilization). This DVD is great, it contains limited bonus materials, but it has plenty moments of awkward silence to make up for it. This DVD is a must have for any Space Ghost fan. You will be yelling "banjo" before the end of night...well I was at least.

Review: If I could only have one television show for the rest of my days...yes, yes it would be SGCTC. To everyone who THINKS they have a 'unique sense of humor': the DVD has finaly come to put you all to the test.

Summary: thank you...thank you jesus...
Review: it's finally happened! space ghost, the best show on adult swim is coming to dvd! wait, actually that isn't much of an accomplishment. aside from the anime and futurama, the rest of adult swim pretty much reeks in my opinion. what is it so many people like about family guy? ugh. *ahem* anyways, space ghost. this is just a really funny show. it's got more great jokes than you can shake a giant sea monkey at, and the characters are awesome. this is simply one of the classics of cartoon network. buy now. or when it comes out. i think it was...november? ah whatever. just buy it.

Summary: It wasn't that great
Review: Nobody really needs to buy this unless there obsessed with the show already. I bought it because it was recommended for Aqua Teen Hunger Force fans. It's really nothing like ATHF. I didn't find anything funny on almost every episode. Only 5 episodes were funny to me but all the other ones were boring. You don't need to spend your money on this. I will never watch this more then once. GO and buy Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD's instead. ATHF are way better then Space Ghost. I'm still going to list the episodes on this DVD set because I do it for every other DVD set.

Summary: An excellent show that I am glad to finally own a part of.
Review: Space Ghost Coast To Coast aired on the Cartoon Network in 1994, and the concept was simple, yet brilliant. Space Ghost is the host of his own talk show, with classic enemies Moltar and Zorak helping out. I have been watching this show on and off ever since the beginning because it is simply hilarious, and a perfect parody of those annoying talk shows we all hate anyways. There are often humorous interviews with celebrities such as Bobcat Goldthwait, Judy Tenuta, Hulk Hogan, The Ramones and Adam West. The interviews are funny, with Space Ghost outwitted by his guests and also by Zorak and Moltar, who often interrupt with obnoxious outbursts that are to be expected from former enemies. To me Zorak is the best on here, with him eating his nephew Raymond and using a spell to control Space Ghost's mind.

This is a terrific show, and I can see no flaw in the material presented here. Included are 16 great episodes. Other reviewers say 6 episodes are missing and that is a shame because they would have fit nicely on this set. But I can't honestly complain because I am happy to own any of these great shows, which are 15 minutes long each. The only negative here is in the way of extras, which are really only some commentaries and a song performed by Zorak. A lot of people dont appreciate the lack of extras, and while it could have had more, the lack thereof doesn't subtract from the value I hold for this great show and DVD. It was great when I was a kid, and it is still great now. Just to mention a couple of my favorite episodes I would say Banjo (where space ghost raises a sea monkey named Banjo), Batmantis (where 2 formers actresses who portrayed catwoman and Adam West are interviewed) and CHIPs are among my favorites. I also thought the Story Book House episode was interesting as well. So I hope this helped persuade you to at least see this show if you haven't already. And if you like the show you owe it to yourself to buy this dvd. It is very reasonably priced and it is a great show to watch when you need to laugh.

Summary: SGC2C Brilliant
Review: Space Ghost Coast to Coast..... What else is there to say? This show is one of the best on television. It began in 1997, and wasn't aired for a couple of years, until Cartoon Network began Adult Swim. Space Ghost is the footstone of that block of shows, and is a classic comedy. It's a washed superhero who was given one more chance, a talk showw in space. Along with Zorak and Moltar, Space ghost interviews his guests who are viewed through a T.V. screen. He is totally unaware, and many times does't even know who his guests are (which causes him to improvise, like asking, "Are you a leprechan?") The entire show is made of old clips of the '60's cartoon, which means you will see the same animation of the characters over and over, but that doesn't slow the show down. If you are asking yourself if this is worth buying, let me tell you, you will fall in love with this show after the first episode.
