Summary: The Real Folk Blues.....
Review: Cowboy Bebop is without a doubt, the best piece of animation shown on tv! I love everything about it, from the opening credits, the layout, the music, the style of drawing, everything!

I will have to agree with everything previous reviewers have said about the last two episodes - The Real Folk Blues parts 1 & 2 are the best of the whole series. It took my breath away - especially part 2. And the ending...... Wow, I get shivers thinking about it!

I think part of what makes this one of the best series on tv is the fact that only 26 episodes were made. With it's short run it didn't have the chance to become stale.

I used to think the Macros saga was the best bit of animation I'd seen. But this tops it by far. In fact it tops most other shows (animation or not) on tv by far. It has everything a good story should have - characters you like and care about, gripping stories (not in all of them), good comedy moments, action, suspense, drama, a fantastic musical score - it will have you singing in Japanese at the end of each episode along with the credits!

I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed this series.

It really is an outstanding piece of work in terms of art, storyline, character development, musical achievement etc. But don't take my word for it. See for yourself.

See you later Space Cowboy.....!

Summary: what exactly is this thing?
Review: I have noticed that there are few reviews of this TV series from a non-anime angle. So, I decided to contribute, as I had no prior anime exposure before watching all six (6) sessions with my friends over a couple of days.

The series is the tale of bounty hunters set in the mid-late 21st century. Space is colonized and the Earth is destroyed. The series deals with the very real human relationships between the main characters of Spike, Feh, Jet, and everyone around them.

Each episode is filled with symbolism, foreshadowing, etc., mostly because each episode is only 20-25 minutes each. Thusly, (for those of you comfortable with literature), the episodes are in short story form, with every second dealing with the overall theme.

Upon finishing the series, you realize that the entire series deals with psychological and philosophical aspects, such as the existence (or non-existence of God), meaning of life, and other miscellaneous topic. The result is a brilliant combination of action and philosophy which matches (if not surpasses) _The Matrix_. Indeed, _Cowboy Bebop_ is much deeper than _The Matrix_, and is depressing rather than hopeful.

With fantastic character development, human issues of loneliness and belonging (the two main themes, IMO), and pure action (with blood and guns), this series is bound to please anyone, anime fan or not, philosophy major and not. :)

Summary: The best anime series to date
Review: Arguable the deepest and best anime series ever created. Poses questions that just kick you in the [bottom] and leaves viewers with newfound wisdom. The end to this series is absolutley stunning. Never been touched so much by a cartoon.

Review: Go to the Extras menu and highlight the image gallery. Hit the left arrow button six times. The MM button will slowly become 'un-highlighted'. On the sixth left arrow press, the red eye eyepiece on Ein's visor will be highlighted. Hitting enter at this point access a secret Ein Gallery.

Summary: Goodbye, Bebop...
Review: I'll admit. I haven't actually seen the DVD, but I have seen the show on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. All in all, it has the same effect. Surfing the net for anime left me with curious appetite for Cowboy Bebop... and it was soon satisfied.
"Brain Snatch," I thought, was a more mellow, down-to-earth type episode that gave all the characters a sub-final scene of importance. Especially Edward, known as the reknowned hacker Radical Ed. Because she was my favorite Bebop character, "Hard Luck Woman" was the saddest session in the series.
Of course, if you've made it to the 3rd session, then consider yourself a Bebop fan. So now you're into it. And then the moment of destiny befalls our crew in "The Real Folk Blues pts. 1 and 2." And it hits you like, 'That's the end?! It can't be?!' But it's over, and you think to yourself, 'Wow!' I love anime, but nothing will ever wake you up like Cowboy Bebop. From it's jazzy "Tank" opening, to it's sorrowful "Blue" final ending, you'll really enjoy Cowboy Bebop, and it will leave you the same way it grabbed you-- hungry!!

Summary: A Superb ending
Review: I love this series. It's second only to Neon Genesis Evangelion. This DVD is my favorite one of all. The resolutions for each character are beautiful and Yoko Kanno's music is beyond perfection. An ending befitting a phenomenal series like Cowboy Bebop.

Summary: Oh, my God...
Review: I just bought this DVD yesterday. And when I saw it last night, I cried. I don't want to ruin it for anyone but I thought the ending was the most dramatic in all of the anime series that I have ever seen. It gives new meaning to the phrase "Always leave them wanting more."

Summary: The best DVD in the series
Review: This volume contains the last and best four episodes of the series. The last two episodes leave you silent, on the edge of your seat, with your mouth hanging open, thinking "WOW". The emotion you feel is overwelming and for the first time ever (since I really get into touching and sad movies), I was too shocked to cry.

My only gripe with this show is that it has many pointless and almost boring episodes that don't really help the story or character developement at all. Then the last DVD comes out and made me eat swallow my pride and admit this is one heck of a series.

The animation and music is absolutely excellant throughout the whole show is amazing and practically movie or OAV quality. There are also other episodes that were so amazing I considered them to be like short movies. These are Asteroid Blues, Gateway shuffle, Ballad of Fallen Angels, Sympathy for the Devil, Juputer Jazz part one and two, Toys in the Attic, and Pierrot Le Fou. Definately my favorites. Great show overall, you gotta see it (What am I saying, who hasn't?)
