Summary: The Little Mermaid
Review: The best Animated film ever made. The movie had unforgetable characters, great cast of voices, well done score, and all the parts of a good story. I hope my review helps someone to decide to buy this modern masterpiece!

Summary: Disney's Little Mermaid DVD
Review: Out of all the Disney movies out there this one ranks as one of the best I have seen. I didn't hesitate spending the money on this one. Loved the widescreen format but would have liked to have seen a special features section for the price.

Summary: Such a pretty, dewy-eyed fairy tale all about a fish girl!
Review: Here is the 2nd edition of Disney's most popular movie ever to come out at the very end of the 20th century. Here you will be swimming into the most wondrous underwater fantasy where a spoiled young mermaid princess breaks all the rules to go exploring the endless curiosities of human life. Thus she encounters and becomes quite infatuated with the dashing young prince, so she would stop at nothing to be near him even at the great risk of her father's eye-flashing wrath and even her own life itself. So pouting, she runs away to exchange her pretty voice for the painfully drastic transformation into a two-legged human being by a very greedy sea hag. Even when she gets her impulsive wish granted by being adopted into the prince's family, she still doesn't do her "homework" just as the wicked old witch commanded her to. Instead, she would gaze dreamily at the prince who seems to be forever at a distance. So ... it's her little sea buddies to the rescue! Though our sweet young Ariel heroine may seem like such a self-centered airhead at times, she's got plenty of such beauty and charisma to whisk her all the way to a happy, happy ending! One thing, however - the unlikely couple could've learned some sign language in the first place.

Summary: The Little Mermaid
Review: The Little Mermaid is a classic Disney movie. Kids love this movie, except you might have to fast forward through parts with Ursula in them. But it still is a fun and entertaining movie for all ages.

Summary: This one is the Best
Review: The Little Mermaid is arguably one of Disney's alltime greatest achievements. The music is amazing and the songs are the most fun Disney has ever brought. The animation, ahh, the revived animation is one of The Little Mermaid strongest points. It's amazing and colorful. The fact that it was painted with hand just makes it more cherished and precious. The characters are memorable and Ariel and Sebastian and the rest of the cast are Disney's all-time beloved characters. The story is famous and beloved and why, it's no wonder the movie turned out to be the most successful one up to 1991's also beautiful Beauty and the Beast.

Summary: This is the BEST MOVIE EVER MADE BY DISNEY!
Review: I think that every girl who grew up in the U.K. within the years of 1980-1995 should absolutly love this movie. It's a classic! I love this movie a lot and i hope you do, too!

Summary: Not as bad as people say!
Review: I thought that the DVD was fine! I love this movie and that's all that matters. Sure the extras would've been a nice touch but you can't ask for everything. I was impressed with the transfer and the dolby digital sound. No complaints here!

Summary: The Much-Too-Little Mermaid
Review: Without doubt, "The Little Mermaid" is a five-star film. It has it all: great characters (including Ursula the Sea Witch, one of the most outrageously over-the-top villains in the entire Disney canon), superb animation, and a wonderfully catchy score featuring some genuinely moving and beautifully rendered songs.

So why did I give this DVD release only a two-star rating? Because the DVD is pitifully lacking in extras. You get the movie, but that's it. There are no trailers, no "making of" featurette, no separate score ... nada, zip, nothing! To make matters worse, the film-to-DVD transfer is not of acceptable calibre. Some sequences are slightly grainy, and the dual layer transition is sloppily timed; this causes the picture to freeze and disrupts the movie's special magic. Disney did a much better job with its DVD release of "Hercules" (loaded with extras) which was a vastly inferior film. "The Little Mermaid" -- and the viewers who have waited patiently for its debut on DVD -- deserve much better than is offered here.

Summary: NOT-TO-BE-MISSED
Review: The Little Mermaid is one of Walt Disney's BEST animated films ever...if not THEE best! The songs are TERRIFIC, the characters are SUPER and the all the scenes, and the plot-lines and everything else is FANTASTIC too. A true Disney masterpiece! It doesnt matter whtehr you buy it on DVD or VHS as long as you SEE IT! Its much, much, much better than Hans Christian Anderson's version of the 'Little Mermaid'......I've loved it since I was a little boy, and I will enver ever get tired of watching it, even if I have to watch it non-stop.....If you like this, I also recommend 'Ariel's Undersea Adventures' series, which is even better.....

Summary: DISNEY'S RENAISSANCE
Review: After years of disappointing Disney animated movies, along came the songwriting team of the late Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who knew how to write big, bold commercial scores that retain an intimacy and a true sense of character. The Little Mermaid, their first feature for Disney, is spectacular on every level: it features a wonderful variation on the old fairy tale, and a cast of warmly appealing characters in real predicaments of the heart and soul. The animation swirls around you and is magically transporting -- you will be enveloped in the worlds both beneath and above the sea. And of course the musical score fairly bursts at the seams. Ariel and Prince Eric are truly sexy cartoons -- you will be amazed at how they work their magic spell on you and your family.
