Summary: At first I was doubtfull...
Review: When I first got intersested in anime, I soon learned the best from the rest. Titles such as Venus Wars, Iria, and Dragonball (must haves for any collector) showed me the power of anime. But when I saw Ghost in the Shell, I was blown away! This movie really kicks! It is deep, action packed and totally imearsing. I strongly recommend this! It's awesome!!!

Summary: A great, great movie
Review: I'm not a huge fan of anime, or movies of any kind for that matter, but this movie is truly a great one. If you're a fan of anime, you really should buy this movie- you'll want to watch it more than once. You might have to, to fully understand all the plots and underlying plots in the movie. 'Ghost' is technologically advanced, and very mentally intruiging. Although sometimes the movie does slip into the realms of cheesiness you have to expect from anime, and sometimes things get a little difficult to understand, it's a very good movie to watch, rewind, and watch again.

Summary: brilliant, detailed animation and sophisticated plot
Review: The animation detail was superb... interference patterns caused by drops of rain in a puddle, a skyline very suggestive of Kowloon. The plot reminded me somewhat of a fusion of Simmon's Hyperion and Gibson's short "Johnny Mnemonic"; cyborg agents and AI's inhabiting cybrid bodies. The dialog at times is wooden, but I've come to expect this from Japanese anime. In all, highly recommended.

Summary: Cool storyline, animation and simply one of the best
Review: With its indepth storyline, it will simply drag you in with its amazing animation and effects, The characters are unique in a way that robots (or should I say cyborg) could drink beer (or at least its what I think they were drinking. So if you fancy artificial beings and high tech weaponry and other stuff, this is a must for you.

Summary: Best Introduction to Sci-Fi Anime
Review: An excellent movie that struggles to define Life and Humanity. The characters are full and human. They have massive internal struggles while defending themselves and others. Ghost is not your standard Sci Fi flick but perhaps does the best job of entertaining and making you think. I would classify Ghost as pure Cyberpunk, as William Gibson originally wrote it.

The graphics are the best that I have ever seen out of Japan or Disney; however, the "Ghost" world is VERY dark and brooding.

If you buy one Anime title to start, make it Ghost in the Shell. I originally picked up this title on a whim before collecting Anime and now I have over 50 titles. Ghost is still my favorite, although I am also partial to Dirty Pair, Slayers, Evangelion, and Ninja Scroll.

Summary: Great Movie with realism and great plot to think about.
Review: Ghost in the Shell is a great movie. I loved the artwork, it looks quite realistic. And the theme about what it means to be alive really gets you thinking, even with all of the action going on.
