Summary: Great series
Review: INTRODUCTION:
Ever since the late seventies, the Gundam series has been one of the most successful and widely-loved anime series in the world. It has become a favorite of many over the years. There have been several different sub-series over the years, and one of the most popular ones of which is the Wing series, released in the mid-nineties. This is a DVD featuring episodes fromt that series. Read on for my review.

BASIC PLOT:
The Gundam Wing series follows the exploits of five young men who pilot mobile suits against the forces of an organization seeking world domination. There's Heero (the main man), Duo (the cool guy), Trowa (the quiet guy), Quatre (the peace-lover), and Wufei (the overconfident hothead.) The battle rages on for forty-nine episodes, and as the series progresses, a number of plot twists keep things interesting. This is a rare example of a series where the characters aren't paper thin - they continue to evolve as the series progresses. This is one of the best anime series out there, as one of the best mecha series.

SERIES OPINIONS:
To put it simply, this is an excellent series. Many fans of the Gundam series call this the best sub-series of all, and honestly, who can blame them? The storyline is great, the animation is great, the characters are great - everything about this series is great. It's good to see the series get a long overdue DVD release in America.

DVD:
These DVDs are good, because they contain several uncut episodes, but they're bad in that they don't contain any special features (that is, other than the very basic DVD stuff.) The series is one of the greatest anime series out there, but don't expect any bonus material.

OVERALL:
Overall this is an excellent anime series, and I recommend it to any anime or mecha fan. If you like either one, this series will not disappoint.

Summary: A Curtain Closes on a Great Series....
Review: The final 4 episodes of New Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Here is a quick summary of each:

Episode 46 - Milliardo's Decision: Heero sneaks inside Libra to try, with Relena, to meet and talk to Milliardo and stop him. Meanwhile, Treize's troops arrive at the resource satelite for the final battle, but Treize, in the new Tallgeese II, wants to duel with Milliardo first to decide the fate of the Earth and the colonies.

Episode 47 - Collision in Space: The five Gundams launch their ultimate offensive knowing that only mass slaughter and a sad battlefield awaits them. The Peacemillion space fortress rams the Libra to block White Fang's way to Earth and stop it from firing, even if it will bring their own death.

Episode 48 - Take off into Confusion: Wufei challenges Treize while Quatre boards the Libra and fights Dorothy to stop her reckless attack with the mobile dolls. Trowa tries to change his destiny and fate. Duo als boards the Libra and frees the Gundam scientists. Heero looks for Milliardo for the last round of their duel, but Milliardo orders the battleship Libra to crash into the Earth to destroy it.

Episode 49 - The Final Victor: The Gundam pilots manage to destroy a part of Libra, but a huge part continues down toward the Earth. While Heero and Milliardo are still dueling, Heero thinks that he has gotten rid of Milliardo, but he is now alone to stop Libra's remaining section, him and Wing Zero.

This is the last DVD in this series. The ultimate conclusion to an amazing anime. Don't miss it!!! As always, this DVD comes with 4 episodes and dual languages.

Summary: A finale well deserved
Review: The first half of the series was complex and difficult to follow, with the political/military maneuvering. The second half starts with a two-episode summary, then goes into more movie-like storytelling. The action and the situations become dramatic and intense, and all the earlier groundwork starts to pay off. You'll get so drawn into the plots that near the end you'll wonder how they're going to finish this off. The "Endless Waltz" OAV is a nice addition that provides some background on the Gundam pilots, but it seems so rushed compared to this epic series. There is a lot of philosophical dialogue dropped into almost every scene. Some of it is poignant, but other times it is just tiresome blarney. Perhaps cultural differences are affecting my perception.

Summary: Gundam Wing Op 10-great buy
Review: The Gundam wing series is an educating and interesting series, and the ending is one of its best parts. You wonder who will win, whether Libra will drop onto the Earth, and will Heero admit his feelings for Relena. The end may come as a surprise for some people. The extras are also a good reason to get this. If you are fond of the series, remember to see this. It's worth every penny.

Summary: A Great Ending DVD for a Great Series with Bonus Features
Review: This DVD contains the last 4 episodes to the Gundam Wing series. It reminded why I came to like the show so much in the first place. The episodes show the last spectacular showdown between the 5 Gundam pilots and their enemies, Trieze and Zechs. These are perhaps the best written, animated, and acted (spoken) episodes of the series. The battle scenes are well done and the emotional scenes tug at you just like they should. Having only 4 episodes to the usual 5, the DVD has some nice bonuses. First, there is a textless ending of the Relena ending that has followed each episode. Secondly, you can watch both the Just Communication and Rhythm Emotion openings textless. Finally, there is a complete mobile suit encyclopedia with every suit from the series profiled. If you liked Gundam Wing, you must own this DVD!

Summary: Awesome
Review: This DVD is just awesome. This one gets us to the last chapters of the series. This DVD's ending brings us back the the first DVD. Watch DVD 1 then re-watch this DVD's last EP, and you will see what I mean. After watching the series on TV, I loved it. This DVD is the best of the best. We have the battles to end all battles. Who will win, just watch.

Summary: One of the most unforgettable anime
Review: Under-13s will love it for the action, but if you are more broadminded than that, you will be able to see the philosophy and symbolism in all parts, particularly in the Heero/Relena scenes. If you blink you can miss something, trust me. It's not like in Dragon Ball Z, where all they do is fight, fight, and fight some more for no good reason. In GW there is a reason behind all the fighting. A lot of people compare it to Power Rangers, but I say not. These were five pilots who came to earth separately, and there were even scenes with them fighting each other, it was only close to the end they started working together. And the Gundams are much cooler and more realistic than the Zords, mind you! The politics can confuse you, but if you are broadminded like me, you will figure out the why, when, what and where of everything. And if you want to understand what's going on, you have to watch it from the first episode. If you start from the middle, everything will seem like Greek, Dutch and Latin to you.
