Summary: It's ok, animation is good
Review: First off, this film is definitely a mature audience only; for both all the nudity and the plotline that can get confusing towards the end.

The series starts out slow to begin with. There was one point towards the beginning I was just waiting for it to be over. The closer I got to the end, the more interested I was. The plot also takes a lot of turns towards the end.

As for the "fan service" (i.e., adult stuff), there's a lot of it because in order for the two main characters to use their power to the best ability, they can't be wearing any clothing. There's also another thing that happens that I don't think I can mention in this review. A lot of people purchase this series for all of that, I got it because I saw parts of it and all the fight scenes that take place in it.

As for the extras; for languages there are only English dub or Japanese with subtitles; you can't just watch it in Japanese. This isn't a problem for me, but maybe that would annoy some of you. There's another nice feature that is a slide show of several character sketches. I don't have a DVD-Rom drive so I can't test out those features.

Are there better films out there? Yes. Are there worse films? Definitely.

Summary: Buy this to be amazed!
Review: I wasn't surprised by this anime title, but I also wasn't let down by it either. The animation is spectacular, making up for the strange but tolerable story. The music on the other hand is without equal. Not only are the songs catchy but they easily make up for the plot and only add to the great animation. It has a large dose everything, but it all comes together nicely!

Summary: An excellent addition to ANY anime collection
Review: If you could describe this move in two words, I guarantee you those two words would be "[Great] (for censorship cases)". Contained in this video are the whole six (thirty minute) episodes that are in the series (Yes it is a miniseries, this has all the episodes in it), and several special features, including language options of Japanese with subtitles, or English dubbing (Note: This is the standard for all Anime DVDs, so don't dig in too deep). Also at an excellent price, this anime far exceeds its value given

The series features two "Holy Virgin" heroines named Parfait and Cacao. Parfait is a cute girl with pink hair, slender figure, and (as mentioned in by spiritual advisor "PiQu") stunted mammary glands. Cacao is a busty Asian girl with blue hair, and a very beautiful figure who is capable of doing holy.

Then there is the bad guy, Sir Ramunes. Now when you think "Bad-guy" you'd think it would just be "Blah Blah World Domination Blah Blah" Ramunes puts in a new meaning to this term. He rules over the "Giga Genos", an organization made to serve the "universal will". In the process he destroys earth, and blows up others things as well. Sir Ramunes "Giga Genos" fleet is made up of mostly women in skin tight outfits, with alcoholic-based names like Tequila and Liquor. He takes this to he full advantage by "physically harrassing" a girl who is completely loyal to him, and also physically abusing other women in his fleet.

This anime is rated 16+, and for a very good reason. It contains much upper body nudity (I couldn't go as fair as to say "a lot" because I have seen far worse, but you are still looking at more than usual for a 16+ anime), and a lot of "Fan Service"(For those of you who don't know this term, I is just another word for "Panty Shots, or Up-skirt" depictions). The overall amount of fan service can be distracting. Example: At one point of time in the movie, young protagonist Lemon is talking to Parfait in the woods. While she talks they have a camera view that goes behind Parfaits lower body. As you can imagine the short cape she wears does absolutely nothing to cover her bathing-suit-like armor underneath, revealing a clear view of her back. Also there is some lesbian innuendo, and some physical activity in between Parfait and Cacao in the DVD as well.

Violence wise, it isn't that bad, but at the very least you can be promised mild blood content, and most definitely, violence against women. The majority of Cacao's fight scenes include holy magic, while Parfait's take a Mecha approach (with a cool sword fight as well).

Of course though, nothing is perfect, and the same goes with this DVD. The series has very poor dubbing, and horrible voice actors. The choice of music at some point is very poor. For example, in one scene where Sir Ramunes is raping one of his loyalist, they play music this makes the situation seem almost seem positive, which it is most definitely not.

Also the story progression in Episode 1 is lightning fast, and the way that they portray it is as if you have seen the prior series (Knights Lamune: 40 Fire, Japan release), which you probably haven't.

Overall the story, unfortunately, lacked some of the qualities it needed, yet this has some of the most beautifully drawn women I have ever seen in any anime. The action is great in the later episodes, and as long as you bear through the pain in which is episode one, the series is quite enjoyable. I most definitely approve and recommend this series to anyone from hard-core anime fans, to the little guy who saw the commercial in the slayers.

Final word: This is an excellent series, and an excellent value. You should buy it because if you can overlook its faults, this is a great series to own, yet, IF YOU STRONGLY DISSAPPROVE OF NUDITY, FAN SERVICE, SEXUAL SITUATIONS, AND SEXUAL/PHYSICAL ABUSE TO WOMEN, AVOID THIS ANIME SERIES AT ALL COST!

Side Note: This review is written by a Guy, and is looked at from a mans point of view.

Summary: Not very good
Review: On the plus side, there is a ton of fan service. On the down side, it's overall quite annoying. After the fourth episode it felt like I was watching it just to finish the series, rather than wanting to know what was going to happen. While it is pretty straightforward and predictable it still manages to be semi-incoherent.

I do have to say that fans of The Slayers would probably rate this as 3 stars. Everyone else probably would find it a chore to finish. There are better anime discs to watch if you are looking for a disc with some fan service.

Summary: What can I say about "Knights of Ramune"?
Review: This is a great anime (boobies) The storyline was so well detailed, even if they squish all the background exposition in the last two episodes (boobies) The characters are very well designed and cute (boobies) The action is also very exciting and it held my interest (boobies) I would recommend this title for any anime fan out there, boy or girl (boobies)

Actually, this has little plot, bad action, generic characters and I would only suggest this for those extreme otakus out there that think they'll get lucky by one of these characters (sadly...I know some of those...).

Summary: Very Fresh!
Review: This is kind of a weird anime because its the OVA sequal to a TV series. The anime is really titled VS Knights Lamunes & 40 Fresh. The original TV show was VS Knights Lamunes & 40 Fire. The story starts out on an alternative future version of Earth after the events of the TV series where two holy virgins, Cacao and Parfait, who originally helped save the world with the help of the third in a great line of warriors called Ramunes that was really a kid who got sent into the future via a video game(kinda like on Monster Rancher). They are sent further into the future to find the 4th Ramunes warrior along with their small blob robot commrade Piqu. The girls find someone claiming to be the 4th Warrior, but he's actually the commander of an invading force. They escape his space fortress in a giant mecha, along with the orphen girl Lemon. What follows is the realization of who the 4th Warrior really is and the recovery of a large robot named the Mythical Knight that was created to destroy the galaxy. Knights Of Ramune is a very funny series and brings a good aftermath to the original TV series which should hopefully get picked up in America soon. Oddly enough, VS Knights Lamunes & 40 Fire was really the remake of another anime called NG Knights Lamunes which had 2 sequals of its own. It's a little odd having an anime like KOR(Knights Of Ramune)which is really the tail-end of the whole saga to be released before any of the other Lamune titles. This was also supposed to be the lead in to another new series called Knights Of Lemon which never got off the ground though. There's lots of great action though and tons of juicy fan service. This series lives up more to the title "Slayers in space" than a certain other sci-fi show did.

Summary: Not as Bad as Everyone Says it is!
Review: Though it's a sequel from the TV series VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fire (not released in the US so far), Knights of Ramune (aka VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fresh) really doesn't require a background on the characters from the TV series, because it's pretty self-explanitory.

Many people don't like Knights of Ramune for obvious reasons. The show (mainly in episodes 1-3) are more focussed on girls with huge breasts than anything else. I find ep.1-3 a bit perverted at times, and the closing credits'll drive you nuts at times.
However, episodes 4-6 are much better and aren't so perverted and by the last episode you'll know why you chose to watch this series all the way... and it really isn't as bad as everyone says it is.
The series (even the TV series it came from) was obviously made by [...], but even so, the show is still very good. It's not the type to get awards and is certainly not for kids (as the enemy can abuse women and there are a few sexual themes involved). This is really a series that is for adults and shouldn't be taken lightly because it's animated.
The dubbing isn't too bad... I've "heard" worse, but there's some voices that really are bad. Cacao's (by episode 4) makes her sound too old, and whoever the hell did the vioces for Kuu and Suu really need to learn a thing or two about dubbing!

If you like the Slayers and nudity (there's tons in this one), and girls with big breasts don't bother you, this is for you. The show takes some "getting used to", but once you look past the girls' cheasts, you'll see the shows not so bad.
