Although Dirty Pair premiered as a TV series in Japan in 1985, it was the publication of comic books based on the program three years later that won the show a fan base in the U.S. These 5 episodes make up the first half of 10 adventures that are billed as an OAV, but are really episodes added to the original TV series to flesh out a foreign release. Red-haired Kei and black-haired Yuri are "Trouble Consultants" who handle difficult assignments for the World's Welfare Work Association; they prefer the epithet "Lovely Angels" to "Dirty Pair." Their assignments range from breaking the hold of a technologically rigged theocracy to unmasking a crooked gambling satellite. The scantily clad Kei and Yuri are always ready for a fight--or another wisecrack--and the show is made up of equal parts cleavage, action, and comedy.
