Summary: Seen the Japanese version on VHS and that was very good
Review: I have this movie on VHS, in Japanese. and I thought it was good, so it on DVD will probably be very good too. This takes place after Gokou had returned on Earth after the Freezer encounter on Namek. It deals with an evil Namek-jin who comes to earth, Planning to use earth as his new Planet Cruiser. Yes, a planet cruiser, they had figured out how to make the planets cruise around space. He was born on Namek, but sent away around the same time Piccolo did, except he landed on the Planet Slug. Thanks to being raised on that planet, he and the rest of his teams couldnt take the sunlight, because Slug was a dark planet. So they first had a machine that took away the sunlight, which would end up killing most all life on Earth and also used the Dragonballs to make him young again. But it also turns out that he's a Super Namek-jin, like Piccolo, a mutated one because he can grow taller than the buildings on earth. But Piccolo is able to find his weakness, because Piccolo has the same weakness..... but dont worry, I'm not going to spoil the ending for you all.

Summary: Not a bad movie...
Review: I have watched both dubbed and subbed versions on this DVD, and I have to say I'm rather impressed with both of them. However, FUNimation does tend to have the characters say rather ridiculous things during intense battles for I have no idea why; and I've found some grammatical errors that do tend to be rather annoying at times. At the back of the DVD case, it said "May contain violence and brief nudity," which didn't make sense to me at all. This movie DOES contain violent scenes, but I didn't find any which included nudity.

The story itself is rather weak and rather cliché. Some evil planet/asteroid thing appears and threatens the entire existence of the Earth. A big mess happens and Goku always manages to win in the end. However, there is a nice twist with the villains having to make the atmosphere breathable in order to use Earth as their new cruiser-thing.

What rather bugged me was Goku's Super Saiya-jin transformation. His hair didn't even turn gold, which allows a lot of people to say, "He didn't even turn Super Saiya-jin, so, why is it in the movie's title?"
Also, the dub's music tend to disturb me from time to time. They mostly used music from hard rock groups in the soundtrack (not that any of the groups are bad or anything), and this itself didn't bother me, it just seems when the music cued in, it didn't seem very appropriate at all. At times, it ruined the drama and the suspense of certain scenes which you could definately feel in the subtitled version.

So, really, this movie does have its weak points, and its strong points, so they're pretty much even. This isn't my favourite DBZ movie, but this doesn't mean it'll stop me from watching this again.

Summary: LORD SLUG
Review: I loved this movie I thought it was great with the rock music in the background. Its not my favorite movie and its not worth buying it uncut the only thing thats cut out from the edited version is DR. Breifs, Bulma's dad, has a cigarette in his mouth.
It's an all out good movie. Like I said its not my favorite but if you are starting a DBZ movie Collection this is one to add. There are way better movies comming out

Summary: The best DBZ movie since Tree of Might!
Review: I really liked the beginning when Gohan and Ickeras were dancing and Piccolo was getting annoyed, it was just funny. I still can't believe that Lord Slug is a Namek, that just surprised me greatly. He's a Super-Namek who was banished from his planet because he was getting too consumed by his power. So now he's come to Earth, and it's the Z Fighters' job to stop him. I really thought it was funny when Lord Slug punched Krillin in the air and Krillin said "HE'S ALL YOURS GOKU!" In the end I bet you can guess what happens.

Summary: Lord Slug- Good Movie, Great Music!
Review: i think the this DBZ movie is cool. it has an excelent assortment of music, and lots of action. i have recently bought the uncut version, and i have to say that this is the best DBZ movie that i have ever seen. in this movie you get to see just how Piccolo shows his affection towards Gohan. when Gohan is getting pounded by this half-insane froglike guy, Piccolo rushes to help him,but is stopped in his track by a guy that reminds me of Zarbon. when the frog-guy starts to shoot a energy ball at Gohan, Piccolo flies to Gohan to protect him, for Gohan was very weak after he was beaten up. and just when the energy ball is about to reach Gohan, Piccolo rushes in and takes the shot. then the frog-guy and the Zarbon look-a-like start to shoot lots of energy balls at them. and when the smoke clears, we see that Piccolo is lying on top of Gohan. it was obvious that Piccolo had protected Gohan from the energy blasts.

later on in the movie we see scenes of Piccolo by Gohan's side, telling him to hang on and not to die and a scene of Piccolo lying by Gohan's side, trying to keep him warm from the freezing cold. later on when Piccolo was captured by Slug, he did something surprising (i'm not gonna tell you!)and told Gohan to do somthing that will hurt Slug (again,i'm not going to tell)

the movie overall was fantastic, and i loved every minute of it. i know ont thing, if all uncut versions of DBZ are like this, then i'm gonna get all of them!!

(p.s. i recomend all you reading this review to buy this movie, and just incase you didn't know, i'm a big fan of Piccolo!)

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: I thought this was an awesome movie. I won't spoil it 4 u but I'll give u a general outline. An evil person comes to earth and tries to freeze it. Of course the "Z Fighters" will have somethin' to say about that. Plus Goku becomes a Super Saiyin, well thats what North Kai calls it but his hair doesn't turn blonde and his eyes don't turn green. Anyway, this video rocks. I recomend it to DBZ fans and anime fans.

Summary: great music, but not so good of a story.
Review: I would like to start out by saying that this movie had great music but the story line was just not what I expected. Its the typical enemy that is a little bit stronger than goku, but ends up being killed by goku in the end. The action in the movie was alright and a little too slow. When Goku was taking on Lord Slug's henchmen(main boss), which consisted of three guys, well there was actually four. In the beginning of the movie Lord Slug ends up killing one of the members w/ a small little wimpy blast because he is very short tempered. But anyways, Goku dodges two of the henchmen and ends up killing them both with a blast and a punch. The third henchmen is killed by Piccollo. When Goku fights Lord Slug it is really kind of boring. Goku powers up into what I think is his kayo kan form, but is unusually stronger than usual and starts to kick Lord Slug's behind, untill he powers up into super Namek. Anyone who wants to watch this movie to know the ending should rent it and not purchase it. If you want to see a great dbz movie then watch: The History of Trunks or The Tree of Might.

Summary: Finally, a new movie that means something!
Review: I've been waiting a long time to have another movie like the first 3. history of trunks and the bardock movie didn't cut it cos number one, they were to short, and didn't end good. But Lord Slug has got what it takes. It has a good plot, and has a great soundtrack. The only thing i didn't like is that it totally didnt connect with the show. Goku just turned into a Super Saiyan (which was a pretty bad part in the movie, cos his hair didn't even turn yellow!!). All in all, it's a really great movie, and any anime fan should buy it.
