Summary: A Great DVD
Review: This dvd was without a doubt one of the best Rurouni Kenshin DVD's for sure. I have watched Rurouni kenshin on Cartoon Network and I have loved it, but lately I've been collecting the DVD's, and this is one of my favorites only behind Shadow of the Wolf and Fire Requiem. I find the DVD's to be a bit pricey if they are only 4 episodes, however, this one is 5, and therefore very worth it. And for anyone who wants to sign a petition asking for the jinchuu arc to be animated, here you go: http://www.petitiononline.com/jinchuu/

Summary: Pure Art!
Review: This series with Soujiro is Pure Art work! This series deserves an oscar. I love fight seens in anime but fight seens is not what made this series. The writing, music and camera work combined to make this series with Soujiro forever memorable.
The Whole Rurouni Kenshin series is exceptional for an anime series but this one takes special honor. Soujiro's abuse as a child makes you sad for him but it also clearly explains why he is like he is, and this explanation makes all the difference.

"If You're Strong You Live" "If You're Weak You Die". The lie that Shishio told him which put him on a path of cold hearted murder. Innocense corrupted; by his step father and his family and by Shishio. The direction of this plight, of the inner struggle is just ART!
I just loved the direction. It was the best in the series. That is a difficult statement to make given the high quality of the entire Rurouni Kenshi series because all of the episodes are exceptional. But the Soujiro series is just better. It is sooo well done!

Summary: Kenshin vs. Soujiro
Review: This will be the second best DVD to get. Anyway, this DVD includes episodes 53-57 and three episodes are devoted to Kenshin's fight with Soujiro. This fight will be one of the best and there is no reason why anyone would want to miss this one!!

Summary: Touching and testing
Review: What can I say about this DVD that hasn't been said already twenty different times? My one major objection is that this is in no way a better battle than that found in Shadow of the Wolf. If you want to know why, read my review about it.

Summary: "I smiled in the rain...but really, I was..."
Review: With a somewhat unexpected twist, the long battle at the Aoiya ends. Then, the next three episodes are devoted to...

Tenken no Soujiro - the strongest member of the Juppongatana, second only to Shishio Makoto himself. A harmless-looking young man who always smiles pleasantly, he is said to have no emotions, which leaves Kenshin at a great disadvantage. The last time that he fought Kenshin, both men's swords were broken in a one-draw contest of Battoujutsu. Now, Kenshin must face Soujiro again in order to get to Shishio and stop him from accomplishing his Kuni Tori. What Kenshin doesn't know is that Soujiro has a technique that he didn't use in their previous battle, Shukuchi, a god-speed even faster than Kenshin's. And when Soujiro begins to act strange during their fight, it becomes apparent that his emotions of anger and sadness were buried deep in his heart on a stormy night long ago - but are finally ready to emerge...

In the last episode, the doors to Shishio's private 'arena' are opened and one way or another, the final battle of the Kyoto Arc is about to begin. Don't miss this one.

Summary: "Best Fight in the Series" runner up
Review: yeh thats right, this dvd has the 2nd best fight imho

Soujiro is Kenshin's equal in battoujutsu technique, Soujiro surpasses Kenshin in speed, and his lack of emotions make it impossible for Kenshin to predict what he'll do, but Soujiro has a pretty messed up past, and fighting Kenshin is causing him to have memories, which are reawakening his emotions, he is torn, between the boy who wanted nothing but peace, and the man who wants chaos and destruction..

the first episode continues from the cliffhanger in the previous DVD, Sejiro Hiko appears(granted in th nick of time) and pulls a little Kenshin on Fuji... the next three are Soujiro vs Kenshin with the occasional flashback to explain his past, and the final one is the beginning of the end for the Kyoto Arc, the first episode of Kenshin and Shishio's fight

get it and get Fire Requium, the next DVD, and watch both together so you don't miss anything
