Summary: Better With Just Dora
Review: My 2-year old daughter is a big Dora fan. She enjoys this video and asks for it frequently. It is certainly pleasant enough, and I like the emphasis on being kind to animals that is central to these two episodes. However, there are so few videos that feature strong, smart, adventurous heroines for little girls. I have mixed feelings about adding a boy character like Diego. That said, it is a fun video, and my daughter enjoys making the sounds of all the various animals that Dora and Diego encounter.

Review: My son is a huge Dora fan and loves every episode but this is by far his favorite. He knows the whole thing by heart, even what sounds to make to help the animals. If you child is a fan of animals, this is the dvd to get.

Summary: Diego is a great addition!
Review: My ten month old daughter loves this movie and she's always watching it with her 3 year old cousin who is a boy. He likes the show too, but he was really excited when they added Diego since I guess it gave him someone to relate to better. A reviewer on here had mentioned that she didn't like the fact that they added a boy because there are not many shows out there that show strong girls just for girls. I don't see what the big deal is though. They are little kids who are just watching a show to have a good time. I'm all for my little girl being empowered by watching Dora - but I'm not going to leave it up to the cartoon to do it for her... So what if they add a little boy to the show. I'm the one that's going to be teaching her how to be a strong, independent woman. Not Dora.
My daughter and nephew love this movie! They love watching Dora and Diego and Boots go on their adventure to save the baby Jaguar that is calling for help. I'm glad they added a boy to the mix! I think that it teaches kids that there doesn't have to be a difference between boys and girls! I recommend it!

Review: This was our first Dora DVD and we are pretty pleased. I like the addition of Diego and his unique talent (talking to animals). I think he compliments Dora well and don't think it detracts from the strengths of the show. I agree with an earlier review... my biggest annoyance with the video is that you can't play all four episodes at once, you have to go through a separate menu to get to the Bonus episodes. My kids particularly like the animal focus and will watch this video as often as we let them (they are 20 months and 3 1/2). We will purchase other DVDs based on the positive experience with this one.

Summary: Doesn't Drive Mommy Crazy
Review: We have played this many times, and I must say that it is quite pleasant. As a result of this, and the Dora show, my 3.5 year old uses Spanish words and counting effortlessly in his dialogue. I like the message of cooperation, charity, sharing, and best of all, the encouraging "We can do it!" mentality. This DVD also contains 2 bonus episodes that are equally delightful.

The only thing I don't like about this DVD pertains to the mechanics. You cannot play both the feature and bonus episodes seamlessly, but must select the bonus episodes individually each time with controls, an unnecessary task.

Review: Wow, I was expecting some better reviews when I came to review this cuz I think of all the Dora videos this is one of the best!!! Diego is a great addition and the video is fun and educational. "Lets all move like the animals do" is one of the best songs on ANY of the Dora tapes in my opinion...It gets ME dancing...... also my 3 yr old loves animals - she was sooo enthralled with baby Jaguar - talked about it for days....made up pretend play about saving her stuffed animals like they save baby jaguar.....
This was one of the Dora videos that I'd say most impacted her and she has the most fun with - after that, it is Move to the Music and Pirate Adventure.....
