Summary: This movie is a good movie
Review: This movie was a good movie. I liked the movie. I especially liked the voice of John Ralfe.

Summary: HORRIBLE
Review: This movie was an absolute waste of my time. Being extremely bored I watched it on tv, praying that it wouldn't be all that bad. I didn't like the original Pocahontas all that much but it was by no means bad. This sequel and all Disney sequels ruins, absolutely trashes the original films! Besides the bad animation horrible plots, and endings,it completely ruins your imagination. After all Disney movies it leaves you content to imagine your own (pretty obvious) ending. The characters are immortalized in your brain. Particularly for this movie they ruined it! The ending made me so mad! I haven't the faintest idea why I care so much but it seems like it ruined a perfectly good (though historically inaccurate) movie. If you like Disney movies DO NOT WATCH the sequels.

Summary: RUBBISH ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: this movie was rubbish from the start and had a spactacularly rubbish ending. the animation wasnt up to much. it loored like they had taken the original charaters from the first movie and melted them! all the walt disney "classics" have all had their own style. ie. the lion king had very pricisely drawn figures and was done in bright colours. pocahontas was made of more subtle colours and had a slightly abstract feel about the charcters. in this movie, the drawings just melted into the style of all teh other recent, rubbish disney sequals, nothing special or significant, the sort of animation taht can make you feel sick after watching it to long. this movie didnt quite reach the stage of making me naucious but it very easily could have if it was drawn with a few more of the really rubbish "pictures". the voices were all different, allthough that might not have been disneys fault.it only had about 3 songs in it and all them sounded like the writen had written them in his/her sleep!
allthough im not sure if the hole ball thing was actually a reference to hitory (i suspect not)i think that was completely FAKE and unrealistic. and since when has pocahontas been able to speak english?!? i know that in the first movie she and john smith could speak in the same languge but 1) you dont know what language that is 2)that was only because the tree did something weird.
was it js me or did pocahontas look completely hidious for a cartoon in this movie?
everyone was SO(...) mean to the little dog (what was his name?!?). pocahontas was hugin meeko all the time but she ignored the dog untill the end. meeko was just evil to the dog, apart from in the rare occasions that he was being sweet to the dog. bt i will admit that meeko (and the dog, and, yes, evan flit) was sooooooooooooo CUTE!
finally, the RUBBISH ending. firstly, pocahontas rejects john smith, who is like, the love of her life(in the first movie anyway)!!!!!! he was completely cool with it as well. she was like "we walked the same path once, but no i know my place." and he was like "i hope you find happiness." ok. im 13 and i definately know that my boyfriend isnt long term but evan if HE rejected me like that i would proabl slap him. and john smith was like THE LOVE OF HER LIFE. and then, to make it worse, she went with that pathetic excuse for an animated character JOHN ROLFE who had an unaturally posh accent anf "falls in love with him". THAT WAS W(...)-R(...)-O(...)-N(...)-G(...).!(...)
and john smith was SO(...) SWEET to her throughout the entire movie. one of the fisrt things he said to her were "ive though about you every day!" that was soo sweet. and pocahontas still loved him at the begining.SHE SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH JOHN SMITH!!!!!!! like ive already said THE ENDING WAS WRONG!!!! walt disney movies always have the same two messages
"friendship"
and
"TRUE LOVE"
theyre not supposed to be making films about players.
this movie is RUBBISH!!!!!!!! save yourself the agony and DONT WATCH IT!!!!

Summary: WORST EVER
Review: This movie was soooo BORING!!!!! Well okay it was ok at the beginning but near the end I was thinking to myself "I'll only like this movie if she chooses John Smith!" And guess what? SHE DIDNT!!!!! GRRRR it makes me heartbroken! I looved the Lion King 2, Peter Pan 2, and Aladdin 3 (Aladdin 2 was reeeally bad heheh) and I havnt seen any other sequals unless you count Fantasia 2000 which I think doesnt seem like a sequal at all, more like a whole new movie! But back to Pocahontas... I LOOOOOVED JOHN SMITH!!! I know that the person I borrowed this movie from is only keeping it to expand her disney collection... (she has probably almost all of them) and if Ariel can see Eric once, fall in love, take some time off and finally come up with a plan to see him again (which, when you think about it, must take some time for the movie to progress and such) She still loves him and marries him BUT WHAT ABOUT JOHN SMITH????? IT'S ALMOST THE SAME!!!!!! DONT RENT THIS MOVIE!!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: I would give it 0 stars were it possible
Review: This sequel completely pisses all over the memory of its brilliant predecessor. I bought the VHS edition when it first came out several years ago and there I was, a bright-eyed kid, ready to be WOWed by more of my favorite heroine and what I got was... essentially, crud.

Now, it wasn't the entire John Rolfe thing that bugged me. I'll admit that I didn't like him, but it wasn't because I'm such a huge John Smith/Pocahontas fan; it was because he was such a boring, humdrum character. The entire story was rushed and just felt so very unncessary. It lacked the dynamic, mood, charm, and heart of the first "Pocahontas." Coincidentally (although not surprisingly), it also lacked the good music.

The real kicker is, I can hardly remember anything concrete about this movie. I remember having seen it a few times and having absolutely hated it, but it's surprisingly forgettable. The only thing is that I can't forget that I actually watched it and that it nearly burned out my retinas and destroyed a few of my brain cells in the process. I oh-so-honestly wish that I could un-watch this heinous direct-to-video sequel (or that Disney would disown it and say they weren't at all thinking straight when they decided to create it), because it was so bad that it nearly ruins the original movie for me.

Summary: Simply awful !!!
Review: This sequel is as awful as Simba's Pride was good. The animation isn't convincing, neither is the music. But compared to the story this is only the tip of the iceberg. Even if you have only LIKED Pocahontas 1, do yourself a favour and skip this one. Although I'm normally a big, big Disney fan myself, in this case I can just wonder who approved this story. What the hell happened to: "No matter what happens to me, I will always be with you - forever!" And now Pocahontas falls in love with John Ralfe, unbelievable!

Summary: Very interesting and surprising...especially the ending...
Review: Unless you are familiar with the Pocohantas story, the movie will surprise you. It is great entertainment and fun to watch for all ages. The only part I wished were different was the reaction of John Smith and Pocohantas when they saw each other for the first time since the last movie. It did not exactly portray how people in love normally react after not seeing each other for a long period of time. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to add it to my video collection to watch again and again with the children.

Summary: PART II of My Review
Review: Welcome to the second half! Well, what are we wating for?

GLARING ERROR 4: So far, the biggest error is with that dumb-as-a-pile-of-crud King James I. But now we must leave him alone and rejoin Pocahontas. After a short sequence of her and Nakoma playing in the snow (which isn't in london but I'm not sure if this counts as a glaring error) we see Pochahontas sadly remembering John Smith by looking at her compass. Nakoma comforts her by saying "Much time has passed since the news of John Smith's death. Perhaps it's time to put it behind you." This, I feel, is a serious continuity error. Ratcliffe apparently informed the king of Smith's death right after it happened the next morning, so how do Pochahontas and Nakoma know about it? On the one hand, they could be trying to imply that much time has passed since King Idiot I and Ratcliffe had their little chat, but then what did King James the Genius do? Send out ANOTHER ship with just letters on it? I wouldn't put it past him, but obviously you aren't supposed to think about that. In reality, "lunch time has passed," but that doesn't fit in with what's been said. Pocahontas proceeds to belch out a little ditty called "Where should I go from here?" Ugh, this is embarrasing! Obviously whoever directed this peice of trash was wondering the same thing, so why bother? Leave it alone! Sloppy!

GLARING ERROR 5: John Rolfe the Dashing soon arrives in his ship, and after a breif meeting with Pohatu, it is decided that Pocahontas will go with him to negotiate about WHAT? nothing, that's what. King Genius already decided to send out an armada, so why bother with these blasted negotiations?? Like I said, his actions don't make any friggin sense--He must have a split personality, Dumb and Dumber. Naturally it's dumb to try to invade the indian territory for gold which as far as he knows doesn;t exist, but at the same time trying to negotiate with these people when what you plan to do is a foregone conclusion is nothing short of idiotic.

GLARING ERROR 6: This is maybe one of the worst sequences in the entire film. Pocahontas consults Grandma Willow for advice. Remember her? She was one of my favorite characters. But sitting their farting and listening to Pocahontas [whine] about her troubles must be taking it's toll on her feeble mind. Here she makes a mockery of herself in yet another horrible dialouge sequence:

WILLOW: Remember when I told you to listen with your heart? The time has now come to listen TO your heart.
POCAHONTAS: But...the spirits around me...
WILLOW: ...can HELP, but only the spirit WITHIN can guide you.

Blech! Willow distinctly says in the first movie:

"They live in the sky, the water, and the ground. If you listen, they will guide you."

Well, Grandma Pine has lost her acorns. I am disgusted. Perhaps the filmmakers decided that the spirits around you concept was slightly pagan, but this is just stupid! Pocahontas tries to listen to her inner self, but fails because she can;t concentrate. Hello? She can't concentrate? Who is she? Is Grandma Willow giving her an enema while she sits there peacefully?

Well, I'm done writing down complaints for today. Join me again later for Part III!

Summary: Good and Bad...
Review: Well it certainly doesn't live up to the first Pocahontas but it wasn't horrible. The animation could have been better and it certainly could have been longer but I think any Pocahontas fan should certainly rent Pocahontas II at least.
