Summary: Poor
Review: Although I am impressed with the covers of these DVD's, I am extremely disappointed with these DVD's in general. Dic/uAV corp have been releasing these episodes in completely random order, in an age where almost every company is releasing DVD's as full sets.

Take for example, Simpsons, Family Guy, Smallville, and MegaMan Cartoon, released by professional companies. All these DVD's are being released in episode chronological order, full and complete. These have been selling like mad, and fans are very satisfied with the product they are sold.

However, Dic/uAV (i've never even heard of this company) decices to screw any remaining shred of order in these episodes and toss them to consumers randomly, and incomplete. They even put shows from completely unrelated series onto the disks!!! i.e. Putting Sonic Underground episodes on a Mario DVD??? That's wrong for so many obvious reasons.

As for the DVD's themselves, they are poor. The quality is just average, the menus are terribly sloppy, and the extras are really dumb (ex. a stupid Mario quiz hosted by Inspector Gadget-and what in the world? Inspector Gadget???).

These DVD's are poor. Random episodes, low budget production. We need these classic cartoons

in chronolgical order so we can enjoy them to their fullest. I've never heard of this uAV corp, but they need to do some serious work on the production and organization of these DVDs. They are ruining classics!

We need these episodes released as a set and in chronoligical order!!!

Summary: This, unfortunately, has to be my favorite movie
Review: For all those people who are totally tearing the movie, you will probably grow up to be critics. It IS true that the movie will never be on any The Best of The Century's Movies list, but if you're looking for entertainment: Mario Bros. are your men. The movie is not made to be believable: two "brothers" get trapped in another dimension while trying to save Luigi's kind of girlfriend, who happens to be the princess of this strange world. The princess is trying to reverse the damage King Koopa did to her father (he turned him into a giant ball of fungus). In the end, the Mario Bros. save the day (did you expect a different ending?). Don't expect a recreation of the game; this movie is a far cry from any version of Super Mario. I have watched and rewatched this movie since I was little and I STILL have to say that it is my favorite. The plot line is a wee bit out there, yes; it's not like the game, that's true; all the aspiring critics out there will not get into it, unfortunately; but for all you normal people out there who don't care what the rest of the world thinks about reality and just want a nice, quiet night to yourself or with a loved one: check this out.

Summary: a good show.
Review: I recommend this to EVERYONE. And I mean EVERYONE! Except for the people who think songs in Chalk zone are dumb. The songs in this are very very annoying and stupid. So don't buy unless you like chalkzone and are a fan of mario.

Summary: Oh no, not again.
Review: I'm giving this 5 stars for the cartoon, but not the DVD. RELEASE YOUR CARTOONS IN BOX SETS!
I don't want to have to keep saying that, and I'm sure that there are a few thousand other people who feel the same way.
We want them in order. Come on, stop screwing us around.

Summary: Good cartoons, lame DVD
Review: INTRODUCTION:
In 1989, Nintendo began airing its first animated series, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show. This series aired Mondays through Thursdays. How does it measure up? Read on for my review of this set.

BASIC PLOT:
The show follows the same basic plot of the game - two plumbers are pulled into an alternate dimension to protect a princess from the evil king Bowser. For the cartoon, there were some weird episode plots at times, many of which parodied movies and television shows.

SHOW OPINIONS:
Overall this was a cool series. Sure, it was inaccurate to the games in a number of ways, but it was still entertaining. And the mix of action and comic relief was very nice, too. For 1989, this is about as cool as an American cartoon series could be.

DVD:
Though the series rocked, the DVD isn't so fortunate. Why the hell are there Sonic Underground episodes on here!? Not only are the two series completely unrelated, but at the time, Nintendo and Sega were BITTER RIVALS! Having the shows together makes NO SENSE. By not having those episodes on the DVD, they could easily have made room for more Mario. Likewise, the menus are horribly done and are hosted by Inspector Gadget! WTF!? But the biggest flaw of all is that this only has LIMITED episodes - NOT the entire series (which consisted of over fifty episodes.)

FINAL VERDICT:
Buy this DVD if you can find it for a good price, but otherwise, don't bother with it.

Summary: Brooklyn Boys Rule
Review: Like Brooklyn guido-hero Tony Manero of Fever, Mario & Luigi give you something to cheer for in this goofy but fun movie. When I first saw this flick in 1993, I was a little dissapointed considering I was 11 and was sitting there constantly looking for video game comparisons (like why doesn't Luigi have a mustache and why is Koopa a human) instead of enjoying the movie for what it was: a good time. Now, ten years later I relived this film for the second time and now I love it! Let me tell you why. First of all, Hoskins ("Eddie Valiant" in Roger Rabbit) and Leguizamo ("Benny Blanco from the Bronx" in Carlito's Way) are absolutely perfect casting choices. Lou Albano and the other guy that played Mario and Luigi in the old live action TV show were good too but Hoskins and Leguizamo are far better. The special effects were cutting edge for ten years ago and I'm surprised it didn't do too well at the box office. The dinosaur characters were probably so apparant due to the Jurassic Park craze of the 90's and a lot of the dino creatures in Mario Bros look like they could have been in a Jurassic sequel. But nevertheless, the film was funny, easy to watch and enjoyable for a Wednesday night. The early scene when the bros and Daisy and Daniella (hotties!) are in the Brooklyn Italian restaurant chowing down on spaghetti, meatballs and garlic bread would make any goomba hungry. Great scenes include the waterslide-like pipe ride (which looks like a ball!) and the disco dance scene. Koopa's castle is an eerie Twin Towers recreation that is more appreciated now than when the film came out. It's the World Trade buildings with half of one tower demolished. I hope the DVD version offers a lot of extras.

Summary: A lot like the game
Review: My mom bought this for me as an after-school gift. I've never played the original game, but my uncle has and he says the cartoons are very close to the game. My mom doesn't play video games, but she watched it with me and liked it, too. A lot of things based on originals from the 80s are coming back better than ever. Spiderman, Thundercats, even Care Bears! Kids like to see funny cartoons that their parents like too. There are even some live-action extras with Ghostbusters and bonus cartoon of Sonic Underground. It was really funny.

Summary: AN AVERAGE CARTOON

The animation look more like a videogame than a cartoon.Although its nice it still remain second best to the original super mario cartoon but if you like it,then buy it

Summary: KING KOOPA RULES!!!
Review: This DVD contains six episodes of "Super Mario Bros. 3" the original animated adventures of 1990. Not to be confused with the Super Mario bros. Super Show from the late 80's which had live action Mario and Luigi as real people along with the cartoon. There is no live action on "Super Mario Bros. 3"

These are not full episodes. Full episodes are usually around 21 minutes long. These episodes are eleven minutes long. Which means that this DVD is more like (3) full episodes. Which adds up to a little more than an hour on this DVD for Super Mario Bros.

The Bonus episode is (1) episode of Sonic Underground. This is a full 21 minute episode. I would of rather had another episode of Mario though.

This DVD is made by DIC ENTERTAINMENT and didn't get sold here until I wrote to them back in July.

If you like Super Mario Bros. cartoons then buy it. I have written to DIC and they have never answered me about releasing the complete series so I believe they do not want to do it.

As for the quality for this DVD.
-The sound is great!
-The look is great!
-And there is really nothing bad about this DVD at all!

Hopefully in the future more DVD's will be released(like Super Mario World) but I recommend this for now for the super fans of the SUPER MARIO BROS.
