Summary: Better Than The First
Review: After Woody goes and saves Wheezy, a toy penguin, from being sold at the yard sale, he falls off of Andy's dog and then Al, owner of Al's Toy Barn, steals him after Andy's mother says he is not for sale. So here starts the adventure.

Woody is brought to Al's office where he meets long lost friends from his old TV show "Woody's Roundup." He meets Jessy the Cowgirl, Stinky Pete the Prospector, and Bullseye, Woody's own horse. He sees old shows from the series and learns that all of them have been waiting for him to come so they would be able to be sent away to a museum in Tokyo. At first Woody does not want to go but then is persuaded by them that Andy will soon grow out of him and he would be better off with them.

Meanwhile, back at Andy's house Buzz and the rest of the toys are making up a plan to go and save Woody. They go to the actual toy store with no luck. At the store though they meet Tour Guide Barbie and she is hysterical. Also the real Buzz gets mixed up with another one at the store so the gang has the wrong Buzz. The gang goes to the office in the bag that Al was carrying. Buzz follows them after seeing the car go across the street.

All the toys get inside and try to persuade Woody to come with them and at first he says no. He then decides to go and Jessy will join him. But the Prospector locks them in and before they can open it Al comes in and takes them to the airport. This is where the action comes.

The gang of toys and the real Buzz all get into a Pizza Planet truck and all by theemselves they drive to the airport and save the day. Toy Story 2 is a movie you do not want to miss. It is better than the original and that says something by itself. Buy and enjoy this piece of true art.

HAPPY VIEWING!

Summary: Wanna have fun?
Review: Go for it. Experience digital animation at its best. On TS2, sometimes I had to remind me I was watching an animation, not a "film". The characters, the plot, everything on these two movies is made to entertain you, your friends and family for many years.

Summary: Six thumbs up from our family!
Review: I didn't know how Pixar would top Toy Story, but they did. A rarity, Toy Story 2 is a sequel that bests the original. The tables are turned: Buzz has to save Woody, and once again from a contemptable human. Can he do it? Will all the toys chip in and help? What do you think?

The new main toy characters, Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl, and the Old Prospector, are wonderfully voiced by Joan Cusak and TV's Frasier-- Kelsey Gramar. Sarah Maclaughlin sings a beuatiful and touching song for the montage, which is about the pain a toy feels when the child grows up and no longer loves it. (Sniff, sniff.) She should have one the oscar for it!

Summary: Toy Story Is New And Improved
Review: When Woody loses his hat, everyone is looking for it. Slinky finds Woody's hat, and then Andy comes in and plays a little game before cowboy camp. When he was having Woody and Buzz shake, Woody's arm rips. Andy leaves Woody on a shelf, where Woody finds Wheezy after a horible dream. Woody sees that there is a yard sale, and Wheezy gets taken! Woody goes out to rescue Wheezy, but when Buster, Andy's dog takes Woody and Wheezy back, Woody falls off. Andy's sister Molly finds Woody and then, Al, the owner of Al's toy barn finds Woody and takes him to his toy collection. Woody was once a star of a TV show, and Al is a collector of Woody's Roundup merchandise. But when Al is going to sell Woody, Jessie, The Prospector, and Bullseye to a museum in Japan, Woody tries to go back to Andy. But Buzz, and his friends try to find Woody. But how can they find him if they are in an airport filled with bags that look alike?

Summary: i'd give it 10 stars if it was possible
Review: i tell you 1999 was a great year in film, if not the best year in film ever. toy story 2 proves that, being the best animated feature ever, surpassing the original in creativity and originality and far surpassing anything else disney has done or any other studio has done. i love the dvd collection too, it is excellent and all the extras are fun to watch. i am anxiously waiting next year for monsters, inc. i hope it will be as pleasant as these two and a bug's life are.

Summary: Should be on any animation or FX buff's wishlist!
Review: Since the announcement of the potential of DVD, I had been waiting for a set of films that could fully be of incredible potential. The biggest news was not only the Fantasia Anthology, but the Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box! Coming in a custom-slip case, a clear plastic holder featuring Woody and Buzz can be lifted to reveal the understructure wireframe. Each DVD comes in different packaging (Woody is on the cover of TS1, Buzz on TS2, and the little squeak alien is on the special disc 3). The first Toy Story has indepth articles on the development, including the first attempt to match Tom Hank's voice to a Woody doll stand-in. There is even a short 2 minute animation test that was used to help greenlight the project. Also included was the first OScar-winning animated short: Tin Toy, the basis for Toy Story. The Toy Story 2 disc features the animated short "Luxo Jr," as well as sound and various features. The joy of this set is Disc 3, which contains animated menus based on different scenes in the film. You get to see Wire-frame models, animation tests, deleted animation, character 3-D renders, errors in production, as well as a redone "crossing the street" sequence that was intended before TS2 was remade for the big screen. The most fun of all are the audio commentaries by John Lasseter and the other directors, writers, and producers on the film. TS2 will make you laugh til it hurts. There are even links to merchandise, posters, Tv previews, and other goodies you'll have to discover on your own, as well as a look into hidden gags in the two movies.

Summary: Why the Boxed Set?
Review: Everyone has aleady reviewed this movie to death, so i wont. I gave both 5 stars as you can see. Both 1 and 2 are great movies and the dvd's look gorgeous. But why should you buy the boxed set over the regular 2 disc set? If you like extras then the box is the way to go. It has a ton of the making of... documentaries and it als oshows you all kinds of jokes and extrasthat went into it. However i dont think it is worth the extra [money] justto get these extras. I bought my boxed set ...and i wassatisfiedwit hthe extra disc. But i dont think its worth the extra [money]. If your not into extras just buy the 2 discset and not the box. (However as of late there have been boxed sets of Both Toy Stories and a Bugs Life, so if you don't care about all teh extras, but want a bugs life, go for that.

Summary: Unbelievable!
Review: These movies were made for DVD - and thank goodness. We've watched them so many times, VHS tapes would have long ago worn out. Toy Story 2 is just amazing - it is direct from the original digital source, and the picture and sound quality are better than anything I've ever seen on DVD. Plus, both movies have a great story line.

The third disc seems pretty gimmicky, but it just doesn't matter. These movies are historic and will endure the tests of time (and technology).

Summary: Wonderful movie!
Review: You can't go wrong with this movie! I actually like this movie better then the first! My kids have watched this sooo many times that I'm surprised the tape hasn't fallen apart yet! (hehe, I've watched it with them at least 90% of the time!) My only regret is not buying the DVD version! But I didn't have DVD at the time. DOH!
