Summary: Very surprised
Review: I am very surprised they are releasing this "lost gem". In a time where "robots from outer space" tell the miracles of Christmas and all the other wierd kids movies these days, it's great to see a classic like this on dvd. Keep the Rankin & Bass features coming!!!!

Summary: Too Good To Be True
Review: I haven't seen this movie for a total of about 9 years, yet I still remember it! Yes, it's just that good. This movie illustrates the difficulties and triumphs of Peter C. on his delivery mission. Great for children and nostalgic 80s movies lovers

Summary: Can't wait for this to go on DVD
Review: I loved this video when I was a kid and couldn't wait to see it broadcasted on TV every year. My three year old saw it and was instantly hooked. We have watched this tape so many times in the last month that the tape is starting to wear. I need a DVD version so he can enjoy it every easter.

Summary: This is such a great movie!
Review: I remember seeing this movie on TV as a child and I loved it. I loved the imagination of the story, the characters, the songs, the wonderful and vibrant colors and tapestry and the humor that makes this an outstanding and memorable movie. Just writing this brings back warm memories! If you liked the Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman movies, you will definitely like this one.

Summary: Very accessible and entertaining for the 2+ crowd
Review: I would certainly recommend this highly to the 2+ crowd. It is a good stepping stone from Barney since it is song-based but has a more complex plot and requires more careful attention. My 2 and a half year old daughter is crazy about it and keeps asking for more of the same.

Summary: Rankin and Bass's Easter Rudolph!
Review: Just like Rudolph and Frosty and all those other Rankin/Bass Christmas classics, this is sure to become a family tradition! It's every bit as fun and exciting! Irontail used to scare me as a kid! This is sooooo great and there's not much out there in the way of Easter entertainment! Get this one and It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown and get set for a great Easter!

Summary: worth a watch
Review: Made by the same team of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, this is worth watching just for the animation. The animals in here are beyond cute. The first part is all right but with packing all of the holidays in, well I think they could have come up with something else. The songs aren't too memorable in this, except for one, about one night stands...I mean one day romances. The female bunny is added again at the end to ease the viewer's mind.

Summary: SUPER STOP-MOTION "ANIMAGIC" FROM RANKIN/BASS
Review: This is an excellent stop-motion TV special that originally aired during the early 70's. It features the voices of Danny Kaye, Vincent Price and Casey Kasem. It is produced by the wonderful animation team of Rankin/Bass who also graced our television sets with holiday traditions such as "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Santa Claus is Coming To Town", "Frosty the Snowman", and the popular cult classic "Mad Monster Party".

This fanciful, pastel-colored Easter special is based on a book titled "The Easter Bunny Who Overslept". Peter agrees to a contest against Evil Irontail to see who can deliver the most Easter eggs. But, when Peter oversleeps, leaving Evil Irontail to rule April Valley (the land of Easter bunnys), he must travel back through time making unplanned stops at all the other holidays on his way back to Easter.

This show really has a warm, Easter/Spring-feeling that makes you feel like a kid again! Once again, Rankin/Bass have been able to incorporate a wonderful holiday feel into a colorful, fun special. There are also some great songs.

Summary: One of the BEST Family Oriented Films EVER MADE!
Review: This is the story of young Peter Cottontail, who is in a race to become the new chief Easter Bunny. The story is told and sung by Danny Kaye, as Seymour S. Sassafras & Company. This film also features a grand villain, the evil January Q. Irontail, voiced masterfully by the great Vincent Price. THis story is written by the immortal Romeo Muller, who also created such great films as "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", "Frosty the Snowman", "The Little Drummer Boy", "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town", and many others. "Here comes Peter Cottontail is a holiday favorite and sure to please any family audience. Very worth while viewing and I highly reccomend it!

Summary: It's here and the re-mastered print looks AMAZING!
Review: This RANKIN/BASS classic is in my TOP 5 RANKIN/BASS specials. With talents like DANNY KAYE, VINCENT PRICE, CASEY KASEM, JOAN GARDNER, PAUL FREES, etc., RANKIN/BASS couldn't go wrong. It also features one of the very BEST Soundtracks by Jules Bass and Maury Laws! Previous video releases have been in LP MODE and not up to par...I think you will find the DVD to exceed expectations. It also has an episode of FESTIVAL OF FAMILY CLASSICS as a BONUS! I am currently working on the DVD releases of MAD MONSTER PARTY, THE DAYDREAMER and THE WACKY WORLD OF MOTHER GOOSE w/ ANCHOR BAY to be released later this year. They will feature the 35mm SONY prints and more extras than have been on other RANKIN/BASS DVDs! EASTER will be GREAT this year with this DVD. Hopefully, WARNER BROS. will issue THE EASTER BUNNY IS COMIN' TO TOWN (W/ FRED ASTAIRE) and THE FIRST EASTER RABBIT (W/ BURL IVES) on one DVD. Rick Goldschmidt RANKIN/BASS
