Summary: Can't compare to the original
Review: Sadly to say we baught this dvd for our kids . It can't even come close to the origianl. The storyline was also dull and boring. i was hoping disney could have at least come up with something creative. The animation was also very plain. I was very dissapointed in this one!

Summary: Not as great as other Disney classics...
Review: I fell for the mouse characters when I first watched it--and sometimes I still do.

But, in reality, Disney's "Cinderella 2" is not as coherent a story as other past favourites from the studio: it only consists of three shorts focusing on the mice and the Fairy Godmother's plan trying to bring Cinderella's further adventures in a book.

The animation is well-worked [...], Brooke Allison sings at least three or four songs to the film, and--once again--the mice are at it!

This is definitely not one of Disney's best films ever (only released on video, I am so lucky it never got a theatrical release). I wish to others that you rent it [...]...

Alas, those at Disney should have had something more original and longer for this one.

But it should be great for the younger ones. For this reason I only give it a solid ****\5 stars.

Summary: a waste of time ( for the most part)
Review: ok. although everything was alright ( except the horrible gut wrenching songs) and it's cool to find out what happened to everyone, what the heck? this movie is like remember when type of movie. where there are three or four segments of cinderellas mishaps as princess. the animation is pretty good, but the plot and story are kind of weak. i think it would have been better to see a whole movie on where everyone is and developed it into one major story. it's a good rental, and actually pretty good for young kids, if you're an adult, don't buy it!

Summary: Dreams come "true"???!
Review: "Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" (doesn't that ryhme?) is supposed to be a sequal to the original 1950's "Cinderella". But contrary to the misleading title, hardly any dreams come true in this film. There is no storyline; all the time there's the Fairy Godmother and the mice, who write three stories about their memories with Cinderella. Thus, this is no sequal.

Each time you watch this, you'll have the feeling to roughly punch your TV. This is supposed to be a movie, so why does the animation resemble the animation found in cartoons? The songs and score were weak, and the characters just plain stunk. The main problem with this film is that it was released on DVD and video, not in theaters. At least, this could've been a TV miniseries. It will be impossible for you to keep your eyes to the screen when you're watching this. Overall, this is a poor film.

Summary: Dreams do come true...
Review: I was greatful that my daughters were able to watch this movie. They did a great job in teaching them to help others. I hope they make another one!

Summary: Happily Ever After
Review: You would think that the story of Cinderella should probably end with "And they lived happily ever after". Leave it to Disney to prove that wrong. Dreams Come True is a surprisingly entertaining collection of three stories of Cinderella adjusting to life in the Castle. In the film's tales , Cinderella 'modernizes' the royal policies (somewhat resistant of the late Princess Diana), one of her mice friends finds that being human isn't all it's cracked up to be, and Cinderella's stepsister Anastasia finds love. All in all, the music is not spectacular but works for the film, and the animation for the large part is not the best of the direct-to-video films Disney has produced. Despite its short comings, Cinderella II is still an enjoyable film. It seems to work so well that one may wonder if more films about Cinderella in the Castle are on the way. I would recommend this video especially for young Princess fans or anyone who ever wondered what happened after happily ever after.

Summary: Meant for kids, and the kiddos love it!
Review: I could go on and on about how this doesn't compare to the original Cinderella and other Disney classics, but this straight-to-video release wasn't made for me. True, the title "Cinderella II" is bad because it creates grown-up expectations of another grand tale, when it's really just a couple of short stories in the life of the new Princess. My 7 year old daughter knows the difference between a movie like Beauty and the Beast and a fluff piece like this, but she loves to watch fluff, she's a kid! These stories are sweet, innocent and funny. What more could you ask for in a video made for kids?

Summary: YUCK!
Review: What was Disney thinking? Why did they make this movie? Oh, wait a minute, I know why, Disney just likes to make bad movies, just so they can make tons of $$$! Now, Disney does make very many cool movies, ("RETURN TO NEVER LAND") but this is not one of them! It's BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD!

Where should we begin? Oh, where oh where, should we begin? Where to start? Everything about this movie is just so BAD! Now, it could have worked. But it didn't. That's because Disney didn't put any way cool "Lord Of The Rings" style action scenes into the film. There is nothing cool about this movie. Nothing. Nothing. It's...just...so...BAD!

"Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True" (what a yucky title) is made up of three short and STUPID stories. In the first story, Cinderella has to get ready for a really boring party (BAD). In the second, Jaq the stupid mouse decides he wants to become human (DOUBLE BAD). In the third story, Anastasia becomes good and decides to find true love (this story is SO sappy. And BAD!).

Okay, so you know about the three stories. Now, let's talk about Gus the mouse. In this movie, Gus is INSANE! He's always doing crazy things that nobody seems to notice. I think he must have been struck by lightning or something, and his brain went down the toilet, because GUS IS NUTS!

For example, when Cinderella comes home from her honeymoon, the mice all come to welcome her back. Everyone but Gus. All Gus can think about is the "Big Chair" and how it's for "Princess Cinderelly". And by the way, I think the movie reveals the one thing that can destroy Gus: Stewed Prunes.

If you buy this movie, please do yourself a favor and buy the DVD. If you do, you will get the WAY COOL music video, "Put It Together". If you don't have a DVD Player, though, DON'T BUY IT!

Summary: My kids love it!
Review: I have never had many expectations for Disney's collection of direct to video sequels, and this movie is no exception. That is if your a twenty-five year old father of four, who would rather be watching Bruce Willis or Stallone blow stuff up. This movie is a great kids flick, mine watch it all the time.

The premise is that Cinderella's little mice friends and her fairy godmother conspire together to surpise her with a collection of short stories in a book they made for Cinderella. The movie is basically a collection of charming flashback storylines filled with alittle beebop music my preschool age kids enjoy dancing to. The story lines are decent and entertaining enough to hold parents attention for say the first hundred times. It's worth the money, and has been a strong pick in our Disney collection.

Summary: Cinderella II
Review: Smartest move here is to find the original Disney classic CINDERELLA and leave this bad Disney straight to video Cinderella II alone. This is just insulting. It really is. The plot of this movie is to find out what happened to Cinderella after she married the Prince. Here I can answer that for you, they lived HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!! Geez!

Really people, whenever Disney releases a straight to video movie that right there should be an indication that you might be disappointed. Beauty and the Beast II = bad. Hunchback II = worse. Lion King II = not bad but I won't applaud. I think you see where I'm going here. For all of you that are fans and admirers of the original Disney classic, leave it at that. Just stay with what you know and skip this one. If you're looking for good Disney classics, check out DUMBO, ROBIN HOOD, SNOW WHITE, the newly released BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and SLEEPING BEAUTY.
