Summary: Hallelujah!
Review: My 2 1/2 year old daughter had no interest in potty training; she'd refuse to even sit on the potty seat, but would immediately change her own diaper upon wetting or soiling (very messy when they try to do that themselves!). However, she loves reciting from videos, so I tried this Bear in the Big Blue House video. Within two weeks, she was reciting phrases from the video "Diapers get kind of droopy" "I pooped, then I wiped, then I washed my hands, oops.. I'll be right back....Flushing is very important too.", and was asking to sit on the potty. She became completely potty trained within 4 months of watching this video. Great results! And it's fun for adults too -- my daughter and I dance around the living room together for the last two songs! This video worked magic for us!

Summary: I go potty like Ojo
Review: My son learned how to go potty by watching this video. He now is "big" and goes potty like Ojo!

Summary: A good video, but not an attention grabber.
Review: My daughter loves Bear, and especially Tutter. So when we saw this video we though this would be a great way to introduce potty training to her.

She watched the video a couple of times, but it did not interest her. She always seemed to be distracted. I like the idea that the video shows kids that this is a normal everyday thing.

While this video has not been the perfect tool for us, I would not discourage others from buying it. We have found our daughter prefers to read and that she enjoys reading the book "Potty Time" while sitting on her potty.

Summary: Not worth a cent
Review: a waste of money, very hard for a 2 year old to follow, no instruction or guidance at all.

Summary: bear makes potty time easy!
Review: my year old is just starting potty training and this video has helped him learn the concept! The video is a little short....I have heard the DVD is a better choice and value with extras!!

Summary: It doesn't work for my 2 year old!
Review: I think it didn't very helpful with my 2 year old boy's potty training. I agree with the customer from Austin, TX that "it doesn't really mention what is potty or anything about potty training". My boy just watching the bear singing talking and the mouse sitting on the potty for a while. But he still didn't understand that he needed to sit on his potty to make bowel movement. It was "Once Upon a Potty" book that really helped him to do so.

Summary: WE LOVE BEAR IN CA- GREAT DVD FUN EPISODES!
Review: We love bear in our house and especially on the DVD format. It is the only way to go with kids movies. The added features the DVD verion offers makes it worth the few extra dollars. It has sing a longs and 3 story selections which make it great when you are trying to make a squirmy toddler sit still. Quick and easy and totally cute. My son love the "Potty song" and we had to play it over and over and over again. A good buy with three great episodes.

Summary: Great help for encouraging potty use!
Review: Anything that is from the Henson family is always a good start in my book - so I was sure this one would be intertaining at the least. My two sons use this video as encouragement to use the potty. It has real to life examples of "waiting too long when you think you have to go" and "not wanting to stop an activity to go". It shows that it is not the end of the world when you have an "accident" and encourages child to "listen to your body".
I dare any adult to get the fun meoldy of the "Potty Train" song
out of their head! I bet you a dollar you will be singing it to yourself long after the kids are in bed. The otters Pip and Pop want your child to join the "club" and be a "Toiletteer". We are all TOILETTEERS at our house! Long live the Jim Henson legacy of excellent, approprate children's intertainment that can be enjoyed with your children.

Summary: Not the most useful video for potty training
Review: The shadow song is very off the wall and very funky. I don't like it and neither does my son. The information that is presented is done very tactfully and done well. I just don't think there is much information presented. Maybe for an older child who is close to being finished with potty training this would be an excellent video, but it just wasn't basic enough for our needs.

Summary: Great for encoraging potty use
Review: My 2 1/2 year old son has learned many things about the potty, but if it's not his idea or (he thinks it's not) then you can forget about him doing it. I think this video is very good for kids who have been introduced to the potty but are still a little ambivilent about actually learning to use it. They see Bear and the others as cool much more so than Mommy and Daddy. I think therefore they are much more likely to listen to them than us. This video is great for showing them how everyone goes poop and pee pee even if they are a fish, and it really gets down on their level and uses their language in simple terms to explain some things that are hard to explain. I think this is a great LEARNING AID for getting them interested and for showing them that using the potty is not only a very normal thing to do, but is something really fun that they are missing out on by staying in a diaper. Which of course, being left out is always a good inspirational tool to use to encourage kids of this age group. Especially when what you are trying to get them to learn is something they find a little to much trouble to mess with.
