Rating: Summary: Disney has redeemed itself. Review: Mulan, in my opinion, is the strongest animated feature made by the company in a long time. The last couple of movies were not the quality I expect from Disney. Mulan had a strong plot and good songs but not too many that would distract from the storyline. I loved Eddie Murphy as " Mooshu" and was glad they had a flawed and realistic heroine who struggled with herself instead of looking for someone to kiss her.
Rating: Summary: Most Brilliantly Thought out and Drawn Disney Movie Review: Mulan is the greatest Disney cartoon of the 20th century. It breaks the stereotype of all Disney cartoon movies, where the whole basis is boy meets girl and they get married and have children. This movie depicts more of a girl's struggle to achieve confidence in herself and honor for her family. Many people will agree, this movie is a must see!! I emphasize the must!
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best Disney classics ever made! Review: I believe this is one of the best Disney classics ever made. I am Chinese myself and thoroughly enjoyed the movie especially the training song "Be A Man" and the last song "True To Your Heart". My children both love it too. (We have not exhauted it's novelty - not having watched it 100 times yet...) Mulan displays a real firey personality that is refreshing to see especially compared to the weak, romantic feminine heroines of Disney movie's past. She has passion and heart and loyalty which makes her a really compelling character. Her acts of bravery and compassion are examples of the finest characteristics of any human being and can be identified with by anyone. It is and will be a thoroughly enjoyeable movie for years to come!
Rating: Summary: As always Disney was able to surpass itself Review: Disney animated movie Mulan, as always represents a step forward in an evolving path of superb and creative touch!....Its scenery, its extraordinary music, and even the message made us all cry at the end...Don't lose the part when Mulan's father aknowledge his daugter as the most "Precious gift" of all. As a Technological guy I really admire Disney's innovation capabilities!

Rating: Summary: A great movie Review: I being a thirteen year old girl, had pretty much lost interest in Disney movies a few years ago. I'm not saying that they are bad, definitely not, but I just outgrew them. Well, I saw this movie, Mulan, on Father's Day and loved it. I immediately bought it when it came out. The characters are interesting and it was nice to see a girl who wasn't all for romance, like many Disney characters. I give this movie five stars because it is amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: entertaining but not really authentic in look Review: Although "Mulan" entertained me, the movie didn't have a Chinese look to it. I read somewhere that the animators had gone on a trip to China to do research for this movie. I thought that they must have gone to Japan instead of China. I know I am not supposed to look for authenticity from Disney, but I had imagined that the design would look more Chinese. And the colors were too pastel. However, the computer animation of the Huns riding down the hill was pretty impressive- it looked so realistic. The songs were not very memorable but the worst song was the training song whose title I can't remember. I did like the strong herione role instead of the usual Disney heroine who is always searching for romance.
Rating: Summary: Best Disney since Alladin Review: Finally, Disney has come out with a movie worthy of the Disney name. If you were unfortunate enough to have seen Hercules or Hunchback, please give Mulan a try!! It will restore your faith in the Disney creative machine. Of course it's not completely faithful to the original legend or to the Chinese culture, but it had to be made for the Western audience. Unfortunately the pan and scan format takes a great deal away from the awsome spectacle of some of the scenes but the overall effect is still stunning. And I don't care what anyone says, Mushu is the best comic relief since Robin Williams as the Genie!!! Cri-Kee may have been unnecessary but the cricket is a part of the Chinese culture. Do yourself a favor and buy this movie. It will be a wonderful addition to your Disney collection.
Rating: Summary: A young girls coming of age finding herself and her honor Review: I so loved this movie. It was everything I want my two daughters to be. There are no straight lines in life and it is difficult but Mulan finds her way in a time when girls are "nothing" and honor is everything. She fights for herself and her family only to be shund by those whom she has fought with and eventually saves. Many morals and altrueisms to explain. The music is wonderfull. Donny Osmand has made is imortality in this movie, his voice is fantastic. The passion of this movie is seen in the details and through the wonderment of the story. Everyone seems so real you almost forget you are watching an animation. Truely a must see if not a keeper for your own collection. A lesson for all can be found in this movie. Get the popcorn and enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Well worth buying the video. Review: Disney's MULAN is an excellent film, either on the big screen with the charge of the Huns rattling your bones; or on video, with Mulan's father having more faith in his daughter than she herself does. I agree with other reviewers that Disney should release a widescreen version of the film -- that's the first thing I looked for when I found out it was out on video. Even so, I've watched the movie easily a dozen times since I bought the video. The scene with Mulan leaving the doll with Shang's sword was also touching. All in all, DEFINITELY better than Pocahontas or Hercules.
