Summary: A movie on the best cartoon series ever!!!!!!
Review: It's either Transformers or G.I.Joe. This movie was almost made to perfection. From the plot, to the soundtrack, to the artwork. The only drawback to this movie was that it was missing several of the autobots including Omega Supreme, who was my favorite as a kid. However, all the decepticons were in this. Kids and adults would both enjoy this movie. It's basically a story about a character (or few) that has too much determination to let anything stop him. The storyline is very deep and complex, but it is enjoyable if you pay close attention. I recomend buying this since it has been unavaliable to the public for certain time periods since it was released. If you are a teacher without time to make up a lesson plan for the next day, this movie would be an excellent time-filler.

Summary: Movie was fabulous...DVD a little weak
Review: I'm honestly not sure if TF:TM is the best animated movie ever made in America, or if my childhood obsession with it is clouding my rationale. But it's a must for animation fans in general and practically a Bible for fans of TFs in specific.

There are enough reviews about the movie itself here, so I'll just say a few words about the DVD. The storyboards of un-animated scenes and interview with Vince DiCola are both fun, but they weren't all the DVD could have included. TF:TM is a five-star movie, but the DVD only scores a 3 at most.

Being an animated feature, there wouldn't be any outtakes or deleted scenes anyway, so that's fine. But no trailer? I'd have killed for a trailer! I'd still kill for a trailer! Or maybe some toy commercials from the 80's featuring the movie action figures, like the GI Joe DVD. Or, like the Dragonball DVDs, I'd have liked a mini-featurette about how the Transformers got to the point where they were at when the movie began, or where they went afterwards. Wouldn't those have been cool? Plus, it would have been a kick to see the scrolling prologue and epilogue which were in the UK version of the movie. And what's with the full-screen [stuff]? This movie was in theaters, y'know! Where's my widescreen option???

Still, no point in complaining now. TF:TM was, unfortunately, a box-office flop, so we're lucky we got this. I don't see a Criterion Edition in the Transformers' future, so buy the DVD and be content that you own the best copy available.

Summary: One of the best animated movies of the 80s
Review: This movie kicks so much (...)to a point. The reason I take one star away is the fact that seeing Optimus Prime die was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. However, you have to admit that he goes down in a blaze of glory. With "You Got the Touch" playing in the background he destroys so many people before being taken out. I think the cheap replacement of Rodimus Prime is horrible and he was never as great as Optimus was. The other think I can't seem to understand is why the creators felt the need to put a curse word in a movie that the main audience is going to be 10 and under. What were they thinking? Oh well, enjoy it cause this movie rocks with it's banging music and crazy cast from Judd Nelson to Orson Welles.

Review: The Transformers are back on the original 1986 movie. Almost all transformers are here... The picture quality is amazing and the disc has stereo sound.

Summary: The Leader of the 80's cartoons
Review: When watching the movie, I recall my childhood and what joy the cartoons of the 80's were. Without a doubt if you enjoyed the daily cartoon that were in many living rooms in America, you'll surely enjoy the movie and the compilation of all those episodes.

Summary: The Number One Cartoon Movie of Rhis Century
Review: It all began when I was 5 years old, I started watching the T.V series of the transformers and I became addicted, simple as that. Later on I saw the movie and I was touched from the level of drama and excitment involved. The battle between the autobots and the decepticons has never been this strong. There should be no mistakes, this is A most watch movie for all ages.

Summary: a Stunning masterpiece of Animation!!!
Review: The Story deals with a Evil Planet named " Unicron" ( Orson Wells) who plans on destroying Cybertron, and it's up to Ultra Magnus ( Robert Stack) and his fellow Autobots to kick his huge mechanical Butt. Amazing, Dazzeling, entertaining and action packed that will give you " The Animated ride of your life" on the screen, will satisify your taste for action. It's got everything including a groovy soundtrack, a Must own for Anime fans.

A Animation Classic alongside Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, Fist of the North Star, Heavy Metal, Rock and Rule, American Pop, The Professional: Golgo 13, The Hobbit, Robin Hood, Mulan, Hercules, Toy Story, The Last Unicorn, and so many other masterpieces of animation.

Summary: The Best Animated film ever made! Buy it!
Review: This is by far one of the best animated films ever made by an Animation company! Directed by Nelson Shin (who also produces the TF TV Show) and animated by Toei Animation Company and Marvel/ Sunbow Productions, This is a film that created a cult following among Toy collectors, Anime lovers, and Children. The voice talents includes Judd Nelson (Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime), Leanard Nimoy ( Galvatron)Orsen Wells (Unicon), Eric Idle (Wreck Gar), and Robert Stack (Ultra Magnus). Some may say that this film is too violent for children.Thats very absurd. There is a-lot more volence in Japanese anime then this film has. the Plot was taken from the Star Wars movies. Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime is LukeSkywalker, Optimus Prime is Obei Won Konobi, Galvatron is Darth Vader, and Arcee is Princess Leia. This is a can't miss movie! Light the Matrix! Light Our Darkest Hour! Till All Are One!

Summary: One of the best animated movies in history
Review: This movie was powerful, complex, and moving. Ane xcellent piece of animation. However, it was the culmination of several seasons of a TV series and those who did not follow it originally may have trouble following the movie. Also, the new unedied version contains adult language that was not present in the original US release.

Summary: Autobots, transform and roll out!
Review: TF:TM has everything a Transformer fan could possibly want in a movie featuring those wacky robots in disguise. It's been denounced by some as just being an overblown toy commercial, but so what? It's an entertaining film. It introduces a bunch of new characters, some of which are voiced by notable actors such as Robert Stack, Leonard Nimaoy, Orson Welles (in his last role before his death), and Eric Idle (of Monty Python fame). The animation is some of the best in the Transformers series and the soundtrack is strangely addictive. This has been one of my favorite movies for years and I would recommend it to any Transformer fan looking for a bit of nostalgia. The only disappointing thing about the DVD was the lack of features. There's a 10 minute interview with the musical composer Vince DiCola and some storyboards of scenes that didn't make the final cut. Some trailers or toy commercials would have been nice but overall, I think this is a good purchase to make.
