Review: I am so happy about this!!!! I am into all things 80's and now that they are bringing this out I am truly excited!!!! I have seen every episode!!! Jem was a wonderful cartoon for girls to enjoy. Now I can show my nieces and one day my daughters this wonderful Jem:0)

Summary: Heroes are hard to find
Review: See, here's the thing about Jem. The Misfits are the evil band, right? They cheat, lie, steal, and scheme. But I'll tell you what else they do. They practice. They work their evil butts off to be the best band. They don't need a magic computer called Synergy to make them rock stars. Do you ever see Jem practice? No. Synergy is to rocking what steroids are to sports. Unfair, and by God, un-American. Twice in my life have I seen Tom win over Jerry in Tom & Jerry cartoons. Both times were moments of permanent life altering significance. The same could have been said if the Misfits had ever gotten the best of Jem and her coattail-riding cohorts. But no, alas, the Misfits will always be second fiddle to a lazy girl with a magic computer. What message does this send to our children? Practice? HA! Who needs practice when you have a magic computer? Don't get me wrong; I love the Jem cartoons, and the chicks in it are the first girls I ever fell in love with. I just want us to take a long and critical look at who the "good guys" really are.

Review: I am so excited! I have been waiting for years, for JEM to be released on DVD! I absolutely loved this cartoon! I rushed home everyday to watch it. Along with HE-MAN and SHE-RA! Now if only Rhino would re-release these other two favorites the world would be a PERFECT PLACE! Every episode from first to last would be the utimate dream! It would be TRULY OUTREGEOUS!

Review: OH MY GAD!!I am so happy I want to cry right now. I loved Jem from the first time I saw her in Glitter and Gold when I was 11 and I have loved her ever since. I am so relieved? overjoyed? speechless? the adjectives are boundless!! Thank you Rhino for bringing me joy beyond compare. I am 25 now and I finally will have high quality episodes of Jem to reminsce to. I also get to share this magical show with my daughter who loves musicals. Thank you again.

Summary: This is Truly Outrageous!
Review: My childhood memories consist of many a Saturday evening, hanging out with friends as we played with out Jem dolls and sang all the songs that were on the tapes that came with the dolls. Every Sunday, I was glued to my TV to watch each new episode and even had my singing teacher change the day she conducted her classes because I didn't want to miss Jem on TV. Jem was an amazing TV show for kids, especially girls growing up in the 80s. They featured totally independent and strong women who defined "girl power" of those days! I'm beyond exicted to see that this is coming out on DVD. The songs are catchy and are ones that I still find myself humming once in a while especially when I wish for simpler days and want to be transported back to my childhood. It's already on my wish list and I'm just waiting to get home to pre-order it. This is a must for any child of the 80s!

Summary: Wonderful memories of JEM!!!
Review: I ADORED JEM (and still do) as a child. I remember rushing home from gradeschool and being glued to the tv set just absorbing all of the magic, glamour, excitment and romance that this show had to offer. I even remember singing along to all of the addictive JEM songs and wishing that I could one day be a pop star like JEM! She was my idol and she was a very precious part of my childhood that I now have a chance to re-live through these DVDs! Thank you so much RHINO for releasing them. I will buy them the moment they're released! I feel sorry for anyone who has never watched JEM because they are missing out on such a fantastic series!!! These DVDs are keepers. I just hope and pray that all of the JEM episodes will be released on DVD soon! JEM FOREVER! TRULY OUTRAGEOUS!

Review: I loved this cartoon as a child/teen - I am 26 now and have a daughter of my own with whom I can't wait to share the magic of Jem and the Holograms! My daughter loves pop music and I feel that the music featured in this cartoon is much more positive than the pop music today that is riddled with innuendo. This is a terrific series - like a G-rated soap opera! I can't wait for this and future seasons of Jem to come out!!!

Review: "Jem" was a great show. I stopped watching cartoons when I was 10, but years later I still vividly remembered episodes and songs from "Jem." That's something the show's producers can be proud of, that "Jem" was so unforgettable. I'm really looking forward to this DVD release.

Summary: Something Is Missing In My Life....but not anymore!
Review: When JEM's alter ego Jerrica (NB: Jem is to Superman as Jerrica is to Clark Kent), loses her magic hologram projecting Jemstar earrings (which transform her into uber-pop kitten JEM), in the episode "Adventure In China", viewers are hit with a sombre, sad but deeply meaningful pop tune "Something Is Missing In My Life"- performed by Jem and The Holograms (JEM's rockin' all-girl band). Will Jerrica find her priceless stolen heirloom or will it, and the magic, talent and humanitarian legacy of JEM, be lost forever? Such was a typical dilemma on JEM and it was always at key plot turns that this show broke 80's cartoon conventions and instead, broke out into song! Containing up to 3 'music videos' per episode, JEM was not just a cartoon- but a musical journey into poptastic Heaven! Long before Britney, Christina et al were annulling Las Vegas marriages or getting Dirrrty in front of impressionable young audiences, JEM was doing parents proud with enough top notch bubblegum pop to start a gum factory. Fans of this 80's cartoon were hooked on this amazing show for not just the music, glamour, glitter, fashion & fame...but because JEM contained the best storylines, complex characters and an on-going soap-opera-esque drama that kept us coming back for more. Even in the 2000's, JEMs storylines, songs and music videos still hold up today. Some of the outfits they wore may be a little laughable, but boy were those pop tunes catchy! Jem's songs were enchanting, sweet and positive with a saccrine flavor (JEM songs include: "I Believe In Happy Endings", "When It's Only Me And The Music" & "Share A Little Bit Of Yourself"), while JEM's rival band THE MISFITS performed punk-ish electro-trash containing self-inflated lyrics with a whole lotta sass. (eg: "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!", "I Am A Giant" and "You Can't Catch Me"- to name a few). I do urge you to get this DVD and relive the songs, pass on the good values contained in this show to your kids, enjoy the G-rated Melrose-Place-style campish competition between the shows' 2 rival bands and ensure Rhino encouraging sales to warrant future releases of the remaining JEM series out onto DVD. Take note- the best special feature included is a 'continuous' jukebox style player with all the JEM/MISFIT music videos compiled back2back for your listening pleasure...how cool is that! If Something Is Missing In Your Life...JEM sure knows how to fill that void! She never fails to make you smile and will lead you to agree life really is 'truly outrageous'.

Review: Jem is one of the best cartoons out of the 80s and one of a hand full of cartoons that stands out from the rest that catches the attention of a wide and diverse audience that can still be enjoyed today,that's right you don't need rose colored glasses to watch this one because it actually has a plot,interesting three dimensional characters that you feel for and care about, romance,action,suspense,adventure top all of that off with glamour and let's not forget the catchy songs in every episode and you have a cartoon that was never dumbed down or treated the audience as such and because of that Jem was and still is and will always be much more than a cartoon but something very special!!!!!!!!Way to go Rhino keep the Boxsets and the extras coming!!!!!!!:)
