This Heathcliff marathon is not so much a full-length movie as it is a "best of" collection of seven short tales woven together in a continuous story, featuring the vocal talents of the late, legendary Mel Blanc (Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, et al.). The story opens on a rainy day as Uncle Heathcliff babysits his nephews. Opening his photo album, he recounts past adventures, quickly introducing the vintage episodes that fans will relish. In one tale, Heathcliff's pop gets parole, although Heathcliff thinks he's escaped; in another, Heathcliff's "good angel" conscience makes a short-lived appeal to his saintly side. Nostalgia reigns as the tabby holy terror plays various roles of television star, wrestling champ, and neighborhood bully. The best of the bunch is Heathcliff's brief work for the mob boss, "The Catfather"--a priceless piece of voiceover genius.
