Rating: Summary: Books on video Review: The Scholastic Video Collection is a limited set of Weston Woods's many excellent productions of video versions of children's picture books. Their intention is to create story hour readings of the books -- not animated films. Original illustrations are used, with minimal animation added for emphasis.
Think Reading Rainbow, not Spongebob Squarepants, and you will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Not animated Review: Two out of three of the stories in this DVD are not animated. They are simply pictures from the book accompanied by a narrator reading the book. One could do this with a video camera.
Rating: Summary: Not the best in the series Review: We own about 15 of the Scholastic video DVDs and I've shown them to children from 3 to 6 - including my son who is 4.5. Curious George is good of course, but I was not impressed by any of the others on this dvd. My (3 yr old daycare) kids would barely watch this one.
