Rating: Summary: Unbelievably Boring Review: How can people continue to lap up this drivel? Another feel good movie about a poor little tyke who manages to, against incredible odds, rise above it all and save/inspire everyone!!! Now, I will admit that my 10 year old like it. But she's 10!The story line is so old. And I'm sick of movies that Anthropomorphize animals. They are so beautiful and aweinspiring in their own right. To learn about salt water fish, take your kids to a good aquarium and teach them what animals are really like, and what they truly need to survive: a clean ocean.
Rating: Summary: oh boy Review: I really didn't enjoy this movie. This movie is only for young kids. I found it boring and so make believish. If you want to watch a film the whole family can enjoy watch Pirates of the Caribbean.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Review: At first I thought dis wuz going to be one of those stupid highly antisipated Crappy movies. Then my lil' Bro got it and I thought why not lets give it a chance! It was good but not thta great. I loved the turtle scene and some of it wuz cute! Doen't compare to any of the classics though
Rating: Summary: It was a very cute movie Review: Finding Nemo was an excellent movie for children of all ages. I am at a stage right now where I cannot fully appreciate "children's movies" anymore. I know there was a lot of work put into this, and I did enjoy it, but it just wasn't one of my favorite movies. I think that I am just outgrowing the "children's movies" because I am more interested in action-type movies. But all in all it is still a great movie, that I am sure I will absolutely love when I am an adult (I know my mother does.)
Rating: Summary: Enjoyed the ride! Review: This is a great movie. My 2 and a half year old is fascinated by it. Two scary scenes, though. The typical something happens to mom right within the first five minutes (the mean fish scared her away, sweetie) and the divers coming up from the drop-off. We still skip over that part. Great visuals, great humor. Highly recommended. Still have "escape" in my head.
Rating: Summary: I found Nemo...and the best animation project ever! Review: I absolutely almost always hate animated movies, but every so often one will catch my eye (Shrek and now Nemo) and I'll have to watch. I must say...hats off to the Disney and Pixar studios who put this one together because you did a fantastic job! This film is filled with lovable characters (the turtles, Dory, Marlin, Bruce, and of course Nemo) and witty dialogue that is great for all ages. The plot keeps us strumming along as we follow an uptight and very nervous father on his journey with the hilarious Dory on their search for a little clown fish named Nemo. Highly enjoyable and great fun for the whole family!
Rating: Summary: Mine, mine, Mine, mine, Mine....you should make it yours! Review: What a treasure from the sea! From the great voice talent to the amazing script/story, and the unbelievable cinematic package. The colors are amazing and the characters are charming, captivating and addicting. Watching it for the third time we are still 'discovering' things that we hadn't noticed before. There's Nemo and his devoted father, Marlin (Albert Brooks) and, of course, the show stealing Dory (Ellen Degeneres). If you need to "Escape", do it with this DVD and your family. This is a must have for your DVD library.
Rating: Summary: Highest Grossing DVD Ever? Review: Kind of hard to believe this is the highest grossing DVD ever. I had heard all of the hype about this movie and had to check it out for myself. I thought "Wow, if this is the highest grossing DVD ever, then it must be something special"...What I found was typical, Hollywoood, Formulatic fodder for the kiddies. Great movie for the kids...horrible for adults. You see, Shrek, Toy Story, and even Bugs Life can be enjoyed by both kids and adults..that's what makes those movies so great. This movie is just, well, boring. Sorry, I don't get it. I would have liked it better if Nemos dad's voice had been different. I can only take that guys voice for about 2 minutes! But throughout the entire movie he is yelling and screeching and whining and it really gets OLD! Also, just a question, why is it that in just about EVERY animated movie or commercial we have to listen to character that has an accent from New York or Boston or some place back east? Why? I even saw a commercial where there was a talking Tomato with an accent from New York. Well at least we aren't forced to listen to cartoon characters with a Texas accent because that would really do me in! Anyways, pick up this movie for the little ones, they will watch it over and over...and Pixar knows this....
Rating: Summary: Pretty interesting but... Review: Story was uncreative. Special effects rules over a good story these days. Good special effects but who has bad effects these days? I thought it was pretty cute but definently not worth the high grosses it made. It wasn't that funny but it had some laughs every ounce in a while. Although I have to disagree with one thing. The G rating was appropiate. I liked this movie for the fact it wasn't too violent. The scene where nemo's family was eaten was BARELY shone, and if you read some of my other reviews I HATE animal violence. Another thing people need to know is that there is a lot of misinformation. DO NOT GET SALT WATER FISH BECAUSE OF THIS MOVIE!! to keep all those fish together you would need a 200 gallon tank and "Gill" is a very hard fish to care for. Shrek and Toy Story were much better than this with more laughs for all audiences. This was made by uneducated about the sea people who walked throught an aquarium and said "hey, we can make a movie out of this" (true) So no wonder all the effort was put into the animation and not the STORY. They ouviously just researched the ocean in Sydney and made up a bunch of things that happened with the interesting creatures. I can see why everyone likes it thought. I would reccomend it knowing everybody is suckers for good effects and a story (any story) but not half as a good as the best movies, like Spirited Away.
Rating: Summary: Awesome movie Review: "Finding Nemo" was truly a hit for Pixar! Its a wonderful movie that has it all. The characters are wonderful, especially Dory, who is extremely funny! The story line is also very good and the animation is awesome! I give it 5 stars!
