Rating: Summary: Plympton Gets Naughty Review: If you have not seen or are simply just not a fan of Bill Plympton's work, this movie probably isn't for you. However, if you have experienced any of his incredibly imaginative and hellaciously bent animated shorts and/or features and could not only mentally handle but actually enjoy them, this is something you just gotta see. It's everything you'd expect from Plympton (sketchy animation that looks like it was done mostly with colored pencils and crayons, characters and scenery morphing with an almost hallucenogenic quality, and a sort of lunatic surrealism that still holds a sense of almost little-kid-imagination innocence), then add in sex. Not just with people. Birds, electrical outlets, and even army tanks. Next, throw in violence. Ridiculously graphic violence, the likes of which you'd expect in a Monty Python flick. The plot: average Joe gets zapped in the back of his neck by an off-kilter satelite dish beam, and now has the ability to make anything he imagines actually happen. Results: the most creative argument-with-the-in-laws you're likely to see; a very yucky yet hilarious stand-up comedy routine; and probably one of the top 5 most hysterical sex scenes in movie history. In short, it's Bill Plympton uncensored...you've been warned.

Rating: Summary: Great movie Review: One of the funniest and weirdest movies and very well done, suggest seeing it to everyone. i saw it in the theater when it came out during a film festival and could not laughing about it and remembering it. haven't seen it in a while so i think i will buy it.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not what I expected Review: Plympton is a wonderful and important alternative to standard animation. Most people think that anime is... well, if you like it, more power to you, but it is dull to me, I'd rather have Plympton or Ralph Bakshi (his prime works like Street Fight (originally titled:Coonskin) or Heavy Traffic or even Lord of the Rings) any day than see the same old anime stuff. If what you like about anime is more adult oriented stories, humor, sex, etc. then you'll like this one.... if what you like about anime is the crappy floating non-animation with whizzing backgrounds, or the cookie cutter character designs, then you won't like this movie as the animation is unique and the characters living dimensional sketches/characatures. The animation isn't top notch, being animated "on fours" or 6 frames a second (both for budget reasons, and for a certain rougher style that somehow fits with the sketchy illustrative characters) but it only feels jerky in certain spots. I actually must say that I expected the film to be MORE provocative, more sexual, more nudity, and more offensive... the only thing that truely "went over the top" to me was the violence. Still, it was a delightful alternative to Disney and their copiers. It never had me laughing out loud, I was merely "amused" through the movie, but, strangely I felt compelled to watch it again once it was over. The next day too, I felt obssessive about wanting to see it, or at least parts of it, over again. That says alot I think. If you're an fan of animation and want a unique voice, grab this one, you're sure to get multiple viewings out of it even if none of them knock you out of your seat.
Rating: Summary: This is insane.. I love it!! Review: This animated filth-filled film is a trip. Packed with animated violence, gore, sex and nudity it's a rare guilty pleasure for the insane side of us all. Well not everybody, I take that back. Some will find "I MARRIED A STRANGE PERSON" appalling and self indulgent. Yes, I guess it is self indulgent being that it's right up my alley as far as morbid, sex crazied entertainment goes.
Rating: Summary: OUTSTANDING!! Review: This film is not meant for the general population. If you are easily offended, put it down and slowly walk away. Otherwise, prepare to laugh your head off. Having been a fan of Bill Plympton's for some time, I purchased this film without even seeing it first. I definitely got my money's worth. I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to puke. It is an excellant piece of work.
Rating: Summary: Very Strange Review: This may be one of the strangest cartoons that I have ever seen. Clearly it is one of the most creative things that I have seen but I would also say that it is not the best Plympton has done. If your fond of full length animated films then I would suggest Plympton's '92 film "The Tune".
Rating: Summary: how could anyone not like plympton? Review: this movie is a masterpiece of ingenius creativity at it's best.
