Summary: I'm so glad it's come back out
Review: I grew up on Trans Formers and have many fond childhood memories watching this, so take it for granted that this review may be biased. I personally can't get enough of this movie. The animation is great, the best in the series. I dare to say the animation gives Titan A.E. a run for it's money (but maybe I'm pushing it). In any case, it's certainly some of the best animation to come out of the 80's I believe. The music soundtrack is equally cool. I can't tell how many times I've listened to it going to work, going to college and back home. It's also one of the few American made cartoons that isn't some kiddie G rated Disney junk. It's something kids can see with little to no problem for parents, but it's also something an adult can see without that too familiar feeling of "I'm watching a cartoon." The only gripe I have with it is that I wish the re-release would not have added those dub overs during the beginning and ending credits, especially the one telling the audience Prime would return. But it was such a small thing, I'm sure not going to let it get in the way of a 5 star rating. I can't express enough to Rhino how grateful I am that they're bringing the Trans Formers back.

Summary: Transformers: The Movie.....What can be better?
Review: Huh? Full-length toy commerical? Whatever! Ya, they intro'd new characters and made toys of them, so what? TF: TM is the best animated movie I've seen: great soundtrack, great plot that doesn't lose you even if you are new to Transforemrs, great animation, three-dimensional characters...IT'S GOT IT ALL! For those of us that have been watching Transformers since we were children, it brought back fond memories (the intro of characters we will never forget like Hotrod, Ultra Magnus, Galvatron, Scourge and the Sweeps, Cyclonus, and the wise crackin' Springer) and sad memories (of Optimus, Prowl, Ironhide, Wheeljack, Sideswipe, Windcharger, Ratchet, and Brawn dying). If you haven't seen this movie since the 80's, GET IT! Even if you have seen it leately but don't own, GET IT! You won't regret it! "Let this mark a new age of peace and happiness. TILL ALL ARE ONE!" -Rodimus Prime, TF: TM.

Summary: No question, would be awesome on DVD
Review: I've grown up with the Transformers, seen the movie several times as a kid and once as and adult. Yes it's a child's movie and toy, but with a cool plot and enough action for any age. I'll buy it in a second if/when it comes out on DVD.

Summary: The best there is,was, and ever will be, TRANSFORMERS!
Review: I walked into SUNCOAST VIDEO at the mall where I live about a month ago looked at the videos untill I came to the kids videos and I glanced down at the bottom shelf and I couldn't believe what I saw but TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE plus videos from the tv show. I couldn't believe it I had to look twice to make sure I was not dreaming, I grabed the video took it to the counter and bought it, I told the clerk I had been looking for this video for yrs and could never find it, he told me that it was just released on video about a week ago. This movie and the tv series was awsome it along with G.I. JOE and HE-MAN and SHE-RA(yes you heard me correctly I said HE-MAN AND SHE-RA)were my favorite cartoons I watched during the 80's I was in JR high and high school during those times, CLASS of 1985 and proud of it.The sound, story, and voice actors were perfect my favorites are the Dinobots I loved them.If your a fan of the TRANSFORMERS buy the movie and relive some memories and for those of you who have never heard of them then rent the movie and check it out.TRANSFORMERS ARE TRULY MORE THEN MEETS THE EYE.

Summary: Pull open the matrix an let er rip.
Review: Im only a kid but when my cousin got this movie for me i thought it was awsome. The suspense, the action, the honor of Optimas, the cast, the thril, the power, and the emothion. Especialy the storyline and the detail of the matrix and cybetron. A MUST SEE EVEN THOUGH IT IS 20 YEARS OLD. More action than a drunken drive bye shooting movie with Arnold Shwartsneger as the commando good guy. Just watch it and discover the fantasy.

Summary: Greatest sci-fi cartoon with great soundtrack!
Review: This animated movie is excellent, but unfortunately it was released in 86, a time when animation wasn't that popular on the big screen. The artwork was done by a Japanese company, while the script and everything else was done in US. The artwork is fantastic and above excellent. The music was mostly composed by Vince DiCola. Unheard of yet its the best soundtrack for any movie I've every heard! This movie was intended to introduce a list of new Transformers like Galvatron, Cyclonus, Ultra Magnus, Kup, Hot Rod, and many more. The producer decided to kill off Optimus Prime and many other old characters... Still the best!

Summary: Death of a Hero
Review: "Transformers the Movie" is definitely one of my all time favorites. I still go back and watch it periodically to relive my kid days. The action and animation were good for the time. The music score was cool too, but I'm awaiting the DVD version which will put it over the top....I'm glad to see i'm not the only one that still gets choked up when Optimus dies. With that being said the best part of the movie has to be when the Autobots are getting pounded and Optimus says "Autobots transform and roll out..for the maybe the last time". The next scene is amazing as he rolls into battle, jumps up into the air, transforms, and starts blasting all of the Decepticons...As he takes that mortal blast and is lying on his death bed, my heart just feels heavy....Man i have to go and watch it again tonight.........*sitting here singing*.."You've got the touch....You've got the power! "

Summary: It's been announced!!!
Review: Well it's official, Rhino Video has announced that it will release this movie October 10th, the only reason it's not here on amazon is because they don't have a List price for it yet. The coolest part is that they're going to remaster it in full Dobly Digital 5.1

This movie is definitely one that deserves a remake. Transformers has been a childhood memory of may of us, and now not only is Rhino releasing the series but they are finally putting out the Movie. This is definitely one that I intend to pre-order the moment I can

Summary: This Movie Deserves To Be On DVD!
Review: Ah, yes! Anyone who was a kid in the 1980s should be quite familiar with Transformers. The series was great, although it suffered from choppy animation. In 1986, the Transformers was treated to the big screen with almost universal pans from critics....but critics don't buy tickets, the rest of us do! The movie is almost non-stop action, with death and destruction on both sides of the coin, speaking of Autobots and Decepticons of course. The most memorable scene (and controversial) would have to be the death of Optimus Prime. That one still gets to me after all these years. That being said, the rest of the movie is a lot of fun to watch and there's a little bit of humor in it to ease the intensity...which is good for the younger viewers. As for the quality of the movie, the animation is more polished and the colors are bit more metallic, giving it more realism. When this is released on DVD, I hope they improve the soundtrack on all counts because the VHS release was weak on the sound effects especially. The explosions were like pop guns and the rest of the sounds just didn't do the movie justice. The music and dialog was better, though not by much. If the the soundtrack is improved upon the DVD release, you better keep your hand on the volume control because it WILL shake your home apart! For the rest of you, enjoy!
