Summary: Ten years it still is one of my all-time favorites
Review: I got this video on my 9th birthday in late 1991 and I absolutely adored it and now at the age of 19 Robin Hood even now remains to this day one of my all-time favorite Disney movies.

This 1973 classic is an animated show where all the charachters are various animals. For examole Robin Hood and Maid Marian are foxes, Little John is a Bear and King Richard is a Lion. Disney couldn't have made this movie better I swear. We all probably know what the theme of the whole Robin Hood sage is really about and I don't even want to even go into explaination. RH is a Disney classic that people of all ages will surely enjoy. I was 9 when I got this and as I near my 20th birthday I still enjoy this as much as I did then. In fact I watched this movie so much that I was for a time able to remember all the lines and musical notes in this movie. Unfortunately for me the tape I own is finally starting to wear out because i have watched it so much over the years.

My favorite scene is the running tent when the rhinocerous guards were poked with an arrow and panicing they just ran like there was no tommorrow. I still find it so funny even now. Goes to show how even some less successful Disney movies can still hold up well as time goes on. In fact I enjoy this even more than some of the more popular Disney movies.

Go and get this movie. It will be a timeless delightful video in your collection.

Summary: A Disney Great
Review: I recently rediscovered this film in our video collection. I loved it as a young child and still love it now!

Disney's Robin Hood is so funny! There is plenty of silliness for kids and great humor for adults. I find something new to laugh at with each viewing. My favorite line, however, has to be Prince John's "Hiss! Hiss! You're never around when I need you!" (Hilarious in context, I promise) Portraying the characters as animals works well for the film. It makes the story (a classic itself) more accessible to children. The score is simple, but superb and the songs are delightful. Although, as a University of Illinois fan, I am slightly miffed at the use of 'On, Wisconsin!' for Lady Kluck's football-esque run past a score of King John's guards. This is a great story told in classic Disney style.

Although frequently overlooked, I consider this to be the best film version of Robin Hood and Disney's best movie. Enjoyment is guaranteed.

Summary: A Classic Disney Film
Review: Very enjoyable, one of my all time favorites. The bad guy is more stupid than evil and the good guy is a dashing hero who saves the day. One for the family library and one that can be watched over and over. The little animal characters are cute, and none of the action is too violent, can be watched and enjoyed with real little ones. A strong recommendation.

Summary: Disney's Robin Hood Gold Collection DVD - - a great Classic.
Review: I don't know why this film , for the most part, is not considered to be on the Disney Classic list, it is loved by many people who are fans of these movies. All the characters are likable & funny. "Robin Hood" does not have that complex of a story as other of Disney's library installments, but for this paticular film, a complex story is not nessesary. The musical numbers are great ("Phony King Of England"), and "Love" is a great song that has been lost amid all of the other more popular Disney numbers. And Prince John is really one of the most likeable, and funny villans in Disney's history. I did notice that some of the animation was used twice in different sequences thoughout the film, but it does not detract from the overall enjoyment. And the nostalgic feel of the Mickey Mouse cartoon "Ye Olden Days", which is included on the disc, is worth a look.

Summary: Oh-de-lally!!
Review: Disney's animated "Robin Hood" remains one of my all-time favorites. From Roger Miller's outstanding musical compositions (Miller is also the voice of Alan A-Dale, the minstrel/rooster) to the marvelous voice casting (e.g., Terry-Thomas as Sir Hiss, the prime minister/snake), this film is a can't miss. The classic tale is told fairly accurately, including the Golden Arrow competition and so on, but in an entertaining fashion that will capture the attention of young and young-at-heart alike. The animal characters are actually well-thought-out (Robin Hood and Maid Marian are foxes, Little John is a bear, Friar Tuck is a badger) and help move the tale along remarkably well. This is a real treat, and should not be missed.
