Summary: You'll love Anastasia! It has great songs and excitement!!!!
Review: "Anastasia" is my 2nd favorite Disney Animation movie (My most favorite one is "The Quest for Camelot")!! It's got fun and lovely songs, very nice animation characters, and lots of excitement! This movie is great to watch with your family.This movie tells of the lost Russian princess Anastasia and her goal to find her true identity and how her family was killed by the curse of the evil sorceror, Rasputin (The revolution was the curse). When the revolution started in Russia, Anastasia, the royal family's youngest daugther, escapes barely with her life, but loses her memory when she tried to get on the train to Paris with her royal Grandmother. Anastasia falls from the train and hits her head but lives. Demetre, who was the kitchen boy when the fateful day had happened,and his assistant, Vladimer hears that the Empress(which is the Grandmother) offers a huge amount of money for the one who finds her lost Russian princess, Anastasia. Demetree and Vladimer tries to find someone who looks like Anastasia to fool the Empress and get away with the money. They meet Anastasia, who calls herself Ania, and she is trying to find a way to get to Paris. The reason she wants to go to Paris is because her Grandmother had given her a music box with a key to make the music play.Ania (or Anastasia) has the key but does not remember how she had gotten it there or what it was for. On the key was an inscription: Together in Paris. Demetre and Vladimer is very suprised at Ania's likeness with Anastasia and 'tricks' her into pretending like Anastasia. They go off to Paris together but little do they know that Rasputin was still alive (but was falling apart into pieces because he had sold his soul to destroy the royal Russian family!) and had sent his evil minions to kill Anastasia. For if Anastasia was killed, Rasputin would no longer be 'falling apart'. Can Anastasia and her 'friends' escape from the ghostly demons? Would Anastasia be able to recover her true identily? I love this movie and it's wonderful to watch again and again! In my opinion, I think this movie had the best animation. I especially liked Rasputin's assistant, Bartok the Bat. Bartok wasn't really bad. I also liked Demetre, even though he WAS rather greedy at first, he became one of the heros in this movie. I very much recommend you to watch it!

Summary: Funny and Entertaining!
Review: This movie is great for kids and their families! I love the humor that Bartox brings to the screen. Anastasia tells a wonderful story. I sing along to all the songs when I watch it. Heart don't fail me now, courage don't desert me won't turn back now that were here -------- also tunes such as, Dancing bears, painted wings things I almost remember. And a song someone sings once upon a December. Rasbutin brings comedy in some way. When his head pops off and his eye falls out are what makes it humorus I suppose. I love this movie in every way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go home and watch it. If you don't have it well go out and buy it! It's really great to watch no matter what age you are and I'm 11!!! I still love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Go Dimitri and "Anya"!!!!!!!! Bartox, you are da' bat!!!!!! Pooka, you're soooooooooo cute you little dog!!!!!!

Summary: Bartok the bat rules
Review: Any animated movie where you have a talking bat with a Fargo accent, you know you are going to laugh. Obviously this is NOT a historical documentary. Duh. If we've learned anything from past animated features "based" on real happenings (pocohontas anyone?), it's that these storylines are always manipulated fit a formula where there is a happy ending. I think almost every accepts the fact that this is not a real representation of the short life of Anastasia, who was more than likely murdered during childhood. Those who watch this movie in anticipation of seeing a documentary should go check out the history channel. I doubt the real Rasputen had magical powers either. Take this movie for what it is - an entertaining cartoon with a humorous talking bat. If you can do that, then you truely enjoy it.

Summary: what can I say? I LOVE THIS!!!!!
Review: With witty dialogue and wonderful voice acting by Meg Ryan, Angela Lansbury, and John Cusack, this movie shines. Great songs also help too. Bartok is also funny. Did you see when tried to warn Rapustin of high blood pressure? That's a true classic. No matter what your age(I'm 14), Anastasia is bound to be a great piece of entertainment that will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Review: "Anastasia" is truly an amazing and compelling film thet will leave you breathless!! The animation and artistry is incredible, the music is brilliant, the characters have wonderfully human emotions and the love story is magical and compelling with wonderful chemistry! And believe it or not, I have been watching animated films before I could walk and this film surpasses all of them! Enough said.

Review: Though, maybe not historically accurate still a great movie. Animation is top notch and the music is magnificient. The whole soundtrack is uplifting yet not stupid. This is one movie which should be bought. Disney beware.

Summary: Fox has done a great injustice!
Review: Fox has mangled the story of Anastasia, and turned it into some stupid piece of garbage. First of all, Anastasia was NOT a princess because her father wasn't a king, he was an emperor. Second of all is the fact that Anastasia was by no means skinny. She was plump and chubby. But oh god forbid we can simply cannot have a heroine who's figure is less than perfect. Also, I think the real Rasputin looked a lot scarier than the movie's. Anastasia did not live happily ever after, she was brutally murdered. What disgusts me is that all of the animated movies have happy endings. Um, hello! Not all stories have happy endings! Look at Romeo and Juliet! It had a sad ending, but it's still one of Shakespeare's most famous and popular plays. All these dumb happy endings are getting on my nerves. Plus they are actually more harmful. They can make kids think that all stories end happily ever after and they don't. Don't waste your money of this crap. It's obvious Don Bluth didn't even think of cracking a book or doing any research. The story of the actual Anastasia is way better than this movie could ever dream to be.

Review: The history of the _Real __ Anastasia is just blah blah she dies a sad ending ,but this is way better Anastasia didn't have to be a certian age smarty pants I mean her being 8 years old sworda added a touch of class and the music just touched my heart Poka was sooooooo cute ! The end is not chessie i agreed with that boy \ girl who said that pepole who hate it should go to the mental hospital ! I mean Anya / Anastasia was jusst gorgeous and Dimrti was funny ! Pepole who like this movie I agree with you 1 ,2 and some 3 star pepole get a life ! Wake up 1,2 and some 3 star pepole wkae up this is the 90's it doesn't have to be like the history and disney movies are good like ,The little Mermaid,Lion King 2 , Lion king , Pochantoas,and 102 dalmatians are very good belive me they are it's just that I think Anastasia is top of the line . Summary: THIS is the greatest movie EVER!
Review: This is my absolute most favorite movie EVER. The music is SO good and the story is cute. :) AND MOST OF ALL, dimitri is sooo cute. i love him. he's really the cutest cartoon character ever created. But the best part about the movie is that you can watch it over and over and NEVER get bored!! whenever i'm stressed out or upset about something, i can always watch a little anastasia and feel better!! my friends think i'm pyscho for watching a cartoon 50000 times because im 18, but i really feel that cartoons can be for anyone (like harry potter!) ok, i'm going to stop. But honestly, this is SUCH a good movie. I really highly recommend it to anyone. It's even better than Beauty and the Beast (if you can BELIEVE IT!)
