Summary: FUNimation tapes worth their money?
Review: If you don't know anything about the Dragonball triology (DB, DBZ, DBGT,) and are a kid under 13, and you watch DBZ on Cartoon Network, I recommend this tape to you. Otherwise, the tape just plain sucks! Bad dubs, lame action sequences, and "uncut" my... Uncut to FUNimation means censoring everything, then add three drops of blood! I could understand the nudity and some hardcore violence, but censoring the names of the characters and the main points of the violence totally ruins the story plot. This tape shows a little bit of SSJ1, nothing beyond the first super sai-jin form. I recommend you not buy the tape for all the reasons above and about 5000 more and save your money, and not to watch it on Cartoon Network to save time, and to spend the money on the original Dragonball instead of this Funimation DBZ garbage.

Summary: Androids 19 and 20 appear....
Review: The androids have appeared at last... and are wreaking havoc 9 miles southwest of South City. Can our heroes stop them? This is the first tape of the Androids saga, and has a lot of action in it. This video contains episodes 111 - 114. (the episodes "Z warriors Prepare" and "Goku's Ordeal" [the driving school episode!] were only on the Burger king promotional tape) The androids are loose in a city and our heroes must find them... but they can't sense them. Later on, Goku begins to fight Android 19, while his power mysteriously begins to fade. Just when it looks like Goku is on the ropes, an unlikely hero appears in the form of Vegeta, who announces that he, too, is a Super Saiyan. Maron even makes a guest appearance, with even more airhead antics (though she appears more as a plot device to force Master Roshi to retell the history of the Red Ribbon Army - another one of Dr. Gero's creations that Goku defeated as a child). The baby Trunks even makes a guest appearance, while none other than Yajirobe acts as a partial babysitter, while Bulma looks on. This video has much better dub music than the previous episodes. However, the original soundtrack would still be preferred. The dub voices seem to be getting better in their parts, and the dialogue is done better than it has been. One downside to note, however, is Android 19's voice. He sounds kinda like Winnie the Pooh talking on a distant cell phone. Other than that, this is a great video, and starts off what will lead into what is arguably the best DBZ saga - the Cell saga.

Summary: Vegeta has reached his goal
Review: The last episode is the best. Vegeta is now a SuperSaiyan. Alot of action. Yamcha has a bad experience with the androids. Goku gets his but kicked by android 19 because...4 episodes, alot of action , and Vegeta as a Super Saiyan you can't go wrong. Get this tape.

But are they the ones Trunks spoke about? And why it is that our heros can't feel their ki? To find the answer to these questions and more you have to by this tape. Oh, and one more thing what is wrong wiht Goku? Why is he loosing power? What could it be? Could it be some secret weapon of the androids or could it be the heart dissese Trunks spoke about? To find out you have to see it. I won't spoil the fun for you.

Summary: The Trunks Saga
Review: The Trunks Saga is by far the longest group of episodes in the Dragonball Z series, and from what I have seen thus far, it also marks a point in the whole series where the tempo, speed, plot, story, and character development are all brought to a new level that the average watcher hasn't seen with this show. I gave these particular episodes four out of five stars because they are a little slow in comparison to the majority of other episodes in the Trunks Saga. But if someone were to contrast them with all the episodes prior to this series they would undoubtedly give these episodes five out of five with out a doubt. My suggestion is if you have a spare 20 sitting around these are most definetly worth your time. But if you are not a die hard fan such as myself you probably want to wait and see when or if they put out a DVD Dragonball Z collection and pick it up there, you'll most likely save a few bucks per DVD that way, although please keep in mind that these are all ready the uncut episodes which include the original Japanese versions they are not going to include anything more then they all ready do in this DVD. All in all very good episodes though. If you have the means, I highly recommend them.

Summary: The Androids are Here!
Review: This 4-episode DVD is about the Androids arriving, but a few things are off about what Trunks said. Goku turns Super Saiyan and fights 19, but the heart virus kicks in and then Vegeta as a Super Saiyan takes over! You don't get to see Vegeta do anything though, that's on the next DVD. There are a few parts in this DVD that are tedius to sit through and you'll probably skip these parts after seeing them the first time. The first part is when Master Roshi is explaining to Marin who Dr. Gero is and why the androids were made and you are shown a flashback of Goku defeating the Red Ribbon Army back in Dragonball. Another Part that might get boring after the first time seeing it is when Vegeta explains how he became a super saiyan. The menu system is exactly the same throughout the Androids Saga and the extras aren't very good. I definitely reccomend this DVD!
