Summary: Touches the heart
Review: Though what I'm about to say is pretty much a cliche, I feel I must say it. Tenchi Muyo in Love 2 is the best of the lot. Needless to say this movie lacks the comedic and action styles that we have come to know about Tenchi. I think we're better off in this case. After watching this movie for the first time, I was overcome with a feeling of emotion that no other anime movie (or live-action for that matter) has been able to instill in me.

To reinforce the emotional and dramatic tones, the music is a great accompanyment to the movie. In fact I enjoyed it very much to the point that I bought a copy of the soundtrack (e-mail me if you wish to know the site). The piano in concordance with traditional Japanese style music is a great combonation. It has the ability to stir thought into the viewers.

In short, I highly recommend this movie to all fans of anime. I know I will treasure it forever.

Summary: Oh the joys of Tenchi.....
Review: For starters I think I should point out that this movie is not like everything else you have seen from Tenchi. All of the Tenchi series are based pretty much on comedy and while I love the abounding humor of Tenchi (the OVA being my fav series), I have always wished they would delve deeper in to the characters and reveal once and for all who Tenchi loves for those of us who had spotted subtle clues in the series but were wanting definite confirmation. This movie does just that. I think it gives the characters more emotional depth and finally reveals Tenchi's true love. The art work isn't what you are used to either. I think they were going for a more realistic look in this movie. I prefer the OVA art best (plus Kagato is a cooler villain in the OVA then in the Tenchi TV series). The music is what you would expect from a romantic movie with lots of piano and such. All in all I think it a good story, but I don't recommend it for young viewers since it shows more nudity then the series and even implies sex.

Summary: It feels like a Dream ...
Review: A very bad dream that I can't seem to wake up from. Someone has hijacked the Tenchi characters and and placed them in their bad anime. I feel as if I was in the video store and just picked up the wrong DVD ... damn, I knew I should have gotten the one with the big robot on the cover.

This is quite different from the Tenchi Muyo! that I am used to. This movie has no humor in it and I don't think I cracked a smile once. There doesn't seem to be the same dynamics between the characters. The cast of characters are just used as peripheral dressing for a story line that may just have used any other non-structured characters. The animation style seems to reach toward a more photorealistic view, but just ends up distorting the characters and their surroundings. I must admit, thought, Kiyone does look kinda cool in her brief appearance. I don't realy like Ryoko and Ayeka in street clothes. Aren't they supposed to be aliens? with powers?

You have the sense that someone wanted to push a story using already estabished characters and the name "Tenchi", but really didn't understand how to use those characters. I had to turn on the english audio just to remind myself that I was watching Tenchi.

Well, atleast, Tenchi manages to "get some".

My advice is to buy it if you must (if you are a collector or you like semi-romantic anime), but you would be better off buying any other DVD, even if it's from the Tenchi in Toyko series. I would rather spend the time re-watching the OVA series.

Summary: It's Not the Tenchi Everyone Knows and Loves
Review: It was the reviews of this movie that made me want to see it. So my husband bought me the DVD for Christmas. I won't mention any spoilers, just that I really liked this movie. I found the story sweet yet sad. I think I remember tears coming to my eyes. The music fit the story well and was beautiful in it's own right. I think I'd love to have the soundtrack. The animation was slightly different from the series and the first Tenchi in Love movie that I had seen, but I will admit I liked the way Tenchi was drawn. If you're used to the voices from the dubs, I suggest watching the subtitled version, the voices are less annoying. All together it was a good movie. I'm definitely glad my husband bought it for me.

Summary: Tenchi and the gang say good bye in style.
Review: It is rare that a movie can touch the soul, let alone an animated move. To make this work you must have a problem, develoment, and a touching ending. Tenchi Forever not onl meets all of these goals but far surpasses them in for expections. In this tenchi adventure we find tenchi preventing yet another agument between Ayika and Ryoko. The girls then ask him to once and for all choose between the two of them. Tenchi nervious and frightend runs into the wood as a safe haven. That is the last time the girls see Tenchi in six months. After a long half a year all of the alien women have left the house in hopes of being able to help speed up the search for Tenchi. Ryoko and Aiaka find themselves in tokyo and acording to Washu's Tenchi finder wrist watch. Kyone and Mihohoe are in the universal space acadmey whole litlle Sisami uses goes to Juri to use the data base. Washu wait's for clues in her lab and is at the center of the investgion. Tokyo also hold's Tenchi prisoner as he has forgoten about his past and only knows his new love, Haruna. Tenchi has become an artest and collage student and the love of Haruna's life. Anything else I would tell you would give away a lot. If you are a Tenchi fan or just a movie fan I must tell you, you not be disapointed.

Summary: bring a tissue
Review: I have heard this is the final movie, as many others have said. This movie here is a real tear jerker. How Ayeka and Ryoko work so hard to resque Tenchi and he rejects them. Everything works out in the end though, but it sure does get to you, and if you like Ryoko/Tenchi romance you will definitely get a good does in this one.

Summary: very good movie
Review: i have both tenchi in live and tenchi forever. i must say love love them both equally. i don't understand wh ythis move got a lot of bad reveiws. the animation was different, yes, but it was refreshing. the music, i thought, fitted it perfectly. i really like how the story dives deep into the relationship between ryoko and ayeka. it shows that even thogh they fight a lot, deep down they really do cre for each other. ther ewas even a scene where teh ywere on top of a building verysad because they can't find tenchi. ryoko starts to fight with ayeka. the yboth realze what they are doing and just sit down. ryoko says the yhaven't done that in a while nad ayeka thanks here for trying to cheere her up. the other characters do ahve smaller roles but not as small as everyone wants you to beleive. washu actually has quite a big role. the one thing tath these other reviews mislead me on was that tenchi picks ryoko. he absoultley does not. at the end everyone is wondering where tenchi is. you see him on a mountain looking at a lake painting. ryoko finds him and they talk. tecnhi says tht ryoko really understnads him. that is it. no kiss or anythingi like that . tenchi doesn't say l love you. actually he tries to stop ryoko form hitting on him like she los often does. this is a more serious move though. there is some humor but not a lot. ther is practically no action scenes whcih is alright for this movie. a big fight scene at the end would have hurt the movie

Summary: The Greatest of all
Review: This DVD is one of the best , the graphics and the sound was great , and the story line is one of the best , you should buy this Anime , poor Tenchi he get lost in the forest and Ryoko with Ayeka go after him , but after few years they found him with a mysterious girl and he seem doesn't remember anything from his past life , but Washu discover that Tenchi exist in a parallel world and the time there move very fast , which mean they don't have time to save him before that world collapse so they gotta act and quikly , after they save Tenchi and get back to the real world Tenchi gotta Choose between Ayeka and Ryoko , but who's the girl he'll choose , you gotta see it to find the answer ;). But i don't recommand this Anime for Peoples under 18 cuz it contain brief nudity and adult situation ,so if you have kids you should see it first before letting them see it.

(sorry for any spelling errors).

Summary: An Unfortunate Ending
Review: Even though I didnt expect much from this movie, (I had read some scathing reviews before buying) I still was very dissapointed. They used the same plot device from the previous movie. Some girl from Yosho's past just trying to get revenge through Tenchi. Some other problems include the fact that Tenchi actually has sex with another woman. Not like the pure hearted Tenchi from all the other episodes. The animation is not like any of the other series. The characters dont look nearly as good as in the previous movies. This movie lacks the humor that is common to the tenchi series. It also lacks the action as is common to the previous movies. The only reason to buy this movie is if you want to complete your Tenchi collection. Otherwise dont bother. I am just thankful there will be a continuation to the Tenchi Muyo OVA. This would have been a terrible way for Tenchi to go out.
