Summary: LOVE IT LOVE IT
Review: I Recomend this without a doubt. The Sole reason I bought a DVD player and I know that My money was'nt waisted I tried and tried to get a hold of the Subtitled and later found out that it was only on DVD and I had to buy it so I could hear my Hee-chan ( Hikaru Midorikawa -san or chan ^_^) talk because there is nothing better then hearing Heero saying I will kill you in Japanese or hearing Duo scream Watashi wa Shinigami ! worth all the money you put in it

Summary: Here's a real review
Review: Okay, the person calling themselves the God of Death that reviewed this video is either a lunatic trying to make a bad joke or a hypocrite who doesn't know what he's talking about.

The reason I refer to bad joke is that Turn A Gundam and G Gundam were complete flops in Japan, the fans hated them! I can't see why this person would consider them superior a series that brought in waves of new fans into the Gundam universe.

Next I say they're a hypocrite since "God of Death" is a name one of the characters in Gundam Wing calls himself! I really hope this guy was making a bad joke. I wrote this so people wouldn't take it seriously.

I can't believe the people at Amazon.com allowed this to pass!

The four episodes on Shooting Stars are excellent, well all Gundam episodes are excellent, but... Anyway, I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Summary: The worst gundam series
Review: This is not a very good gundam series. The storyline is unconvincing and badly written. If you want a good gundam series, check out G Gundam or Turn A Gundam

Review: I recently started Gundam Wing from the cartoon network, and immediatly fell in love with it. This is a very good show, and I recommend it to anyone who loves anime. I consider this a very good introduction to new comers of the anime world aswell. Also to anyone who just plain likes action.

Summary: Yes, it IS Real Anime, no matter what the quality.
Review: I have watched the majority of the Gundam Wing series on the Cartoon Network, and I love it! I also have many other anime titles at home, so I do have more than just cartoon network experience. In addition to that, I also read Manga (Japanese Comics). And I work in a comic book store. I would say that this does qualify as real anime. It came from Japan, and that is the qualifying factor for anime. Anyway, let me get to my review. Gundam Wing has one of the most complex plots of any anime series I have seen, next to DBZ and Ranma 1/2. It takes place in the alternate universe of Gundam, not the same universe as in 0079, 0080, and 0083. The plot can get confusing at times, if you have not seen the first few episodes, which I hadn't until I got the DVD. I also missed the last few episodes, so I have no idea how it ended. But, before I digress too much, let me explain the rest. The plot centers around a few main characters: 5 Gundam Pilots- Heero Yuy, Trowa Barton, Duo Maxwell, Wufei (I forgot his last name), and Quatre Winner; Releena Dorlian/ Peacecraft, who is the daughter of the rulers of the Sanc Kingdom, devoted to total pacifism; Sechs Merquise/ Milliardo Peacecraft- a soldier with a hidden past, determined to get revenge for te death of his parents; and OZ, a secret society that controls the military of Earth. There are enough plot twists in this anime series to really confuse you. But, after a while, you realize what's happening, and it becomes really cool. Towards the end of the series, the space battles become really cool, and the plot kicks into high gear. Overall, this is a great series. Try to see the other series, too, if you have the chance- Mobile Suit Gundam 0079, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080- War in the Pocket, and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083- Stardust Memory(which has the coolest plot of all of the US releases- it concerns a nuclear weapon equipped prototype Gundam that is stolen by the Zeons, a group that declared themselves independent from Earth in the very first Gundam series.)

Summary: Yeah, it IS better than DBZ- but that's not saying much
Review: It figures that this would join the toonami lineup, Cartoon Network's mix of other cruddy animes, Sailor Moon and Dragonball. I see people here who think they're big anime fans. But this is not real anime. Real anime is Akira and Mononoke and Ranma. Gundam Wing is decent battle scenes 10 percent and 90 percent filler. Let me explain

The characters are all fairly one-sided. All of them seem to want peace and promote pacifism, but apparently they figure they can accomplish this only after they've blown cities of troops (?!). All the characters are also disgustingly perfect (physically). I may be the only one who feels this way, but i like to see people who are short or fat in heroic roles. Not just tall, statuesque people.

And the plot? Like i said, filler. If you've seen one episode, you've seen them all. They all start out with a battle, then some talk, then another battle/cliffhanger. BOOORRRINNNGG. This is too mainstream for my tastes. You like this, go watch Totoro or Akira and learn about the real animes in this world. Then you'll be able to look back on this as what it is: Pure crud.
