Rating: 5 stars
Summary: That bad, bad Akio!
Review: This is a great series. I cannot stress enough how affecting it is. Early episodes in Revolutionary Girl Utena barely hint at the depth of character revealed as the series progresses toward the end of its 39-episode run. The Unveiling features a scant three episodes (#s 30-33), but if you've watched all that come before, you can't stop now. The first two episodes revolve around Nanami's relationship with her brother...an overt compare-and-contrast with the relationship between Akio and Anthy, as Nanami struggles to process new information about herself. I love Nanami. To me, she's one of the most complex, tragic and fun characters of the whole series. Episode 33 revolves around Akio and Utena, as he takes his seduction to a whole new level. This was a marvellously-crafted episode. Every moment bizzare, painful and somehow sadly true-to-life. I can't wait until somebody kicks that guy's butt.
