Summary: A HISTORIC MASTERPIECE!
Review: FANTASIA IS NOT ONE OF THOSE MOVIES WHERE JAKIE CHAN BEATS THE LIFE OUT OF A VILLIAN. IN 1942 WALT DISNEY THOUGHT OF MICKEY MOUSE AS BEING A BOY WHO IS A WIZARD'S ASSISTANT, HE WAS AMAZED BY HIS MAGIC. I FIND IT AMAZING THAT PEOPLE STILL ENJOY THIS WONDERFUL FILM TODAY!

Summary: Fantasia: a historical classic for all times
Review: I enjoyed this classic when I was a child growing up. When I became a Mother and had a chance to buy it on VHS I did so. My 3little girls each have there favorite parts: the adorable little mushrooms, the fairies, the swans. I can especially relate to the waltzing hippo: if she can do it so can I! The musical score is excellent. The visuals are clean. I even found out that my craddle-robbing husband has his favorite scene and score. This film is a unique way of introducing one to the innocent and simple - very imaginable - world of life. After all, if we must be on this journey of life why not make it pleasurable.

Summary: Disney films at their finest!
Review: Fantasia is probably one of the best Disney films ever! Classics like The Sorcerer's Apprentice will be part of Disney films forever (as evidenced by its inclusion in Fantasia 2000).

Summary: The finest animation Walt Disney Has every created
Review: This is one of those pieces of work that creators do that ordinarily doesn't get much attention or is not generally like by the critics, in this case it was both when it first was viewed. But fortunately as the years have gone by the genius of Walt Disney lives through this great work of wonderful artists and a wonderful imagination. We soon, I hope, to have the new Fantasia 2000 later this year or next and hopefully will have the same respect as the original.

Summary: A timeless classic for all ages
Review: I first saw Fantasia as a child. I loved it then and I love it now. The wonderful music, vibrant animation, and a lack of dialog make this a true trip into fantasy and imagination. I even like the very dated introduction as it explains to young audience members the concept behind the film - to take music and create images than show visually the feelings that the music evokes. All music is written to get across some message to the audience, and this film provides an excellent way for children to understand this concept thru the medium of animation. Although "The Sorcerers Apprentice" is the best known sequence, my sister and I liked the dancing oriental mushrooms the best. The "A Night on Bald Mountain" sequence is a bit scarry for little kids, but the rest is wonderful for all ages. I consider this one of the best movies Disney has ever made.

Summary: Incredible
Review: I recently saw the making of Fantasia 2000 on tv. The conductor and the animators spoke of the methods used to integrate the animation with the music. The level of difficulty they must have experienced with this original release is mind boggling. I remember sitting spellbound as a child as the mythical creatures and disney characters danced across the screen. A truly breathtaking piece of cinematography and animation.

Summary: It's one of the great movie i ever saw, I like it so much...
Review: It's such a great idea to combine the classic music with an animation cartoon and to bring it to children to see it. It make them to be more expose to this kind of music. And it's a great movie to all the family.
