Rating: Summary: More than 5 stars!! Review: Nicely Done! I saw this movie many times since the movie came out and still love it!! Music, poem, pictures, story and cast matches all well. The movie is for everyone, not only for African-American. Must see and don't forget to buy soundtrack!!
Rating: Summary: Finally, African-American love on the big screen! Review: After all this time, I still call this one of my favorite videos. It has all the culture, romance and innocence that no one knows that we have. Nia Long and Larenz Tate blew up in this film; though they didn't get their props. I believe that this left a mark in the mind of the target audience as one film that respects and celebrates Black Love.
Rating: Summary: I highly recommend this movie. Review: This movie was excellent and so real. It trascends racial boundaries and the cast was great!! Many people are afraid to tell others how they really feel, sometimes we don't get second chances. I think many people can relate to this story. Lorenz, Nia, and the whole cast was wonderful!!!
Rating: Summary: Brilliant protrayal of love in the real world Review: This movie is beautifully written and acted. In addition, it has one of the smoothest soundtracks I have ever heard. It is one of the only "romantic" movies I will watch without a date.
Rating: Summary: Simply Great!! Review: This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was nice to see a good black love story. It didn't have violence, gangs, and drugs - just pure simple love. I wish there were more movies like this that show the positive side of african - american love. This movie is and will always be one of my favorites.

Rating: Summary: Movie didn't get credit it deserved Review: Love Jones, by far, was one of the best movies for the 90's. It didn't get any play. I am upset because it has not gotten any real reviews or awards. Come on America. This movie was REAl!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: REMARKABLY OUTSTANDING!! Review: I unequivocally LOVED this movie; the cast was/is excellent! Everytime I see this movie (20 times so far and counting...) it evokes this everlasting warmth and harmoniously spiritual flow within my heart and soul. Love Jones is scintillatingly refreshing, invigorating, and loving!!! Please make it a part of your video library!
Rating: Summary: A good movie Review: I saw this movie in the spring of '97. At the time, I left the theater just happy that a movie like this was made. It helped to open the doors for more diverse portrayals of African-American life in the late '90's such as 'Soul Food' 'Eve's Bayou' and 'Hav Plenty' (granted, Spike Lee has been doing it for some time). Also, this is to take nothing away from excellent movies such as 'Boyz in the Hood' 'Menace II Society' and 'Fresh.' But the A-A experience is rich enough for a variety of stories to be told. The strength of the movie is the supporting characters, who help to keep their friends sane, grounded, and straightened out when necessary. Bill Bellamy was funny in the restaurant scene with Nia Long, and Isaiah Washington always turns in a good performance. Lisa Carson, beautiful smile. Larenz Tate and Nia Long were good also (I wish Nia's character would've only been with two guys instead of three, though). Overall, a good movie.
Rating: Summary: One of my all time favorites Review: From the first time I saw this movie I have been hooked. I have watched it at least 22 times and I never tire of it. The poetry and jazz vibe are excellent! True to life love story.
