Rating: Summary: Pretty funny stuff Review: I liked this movie but it didn't have quite the kick like "Friday" did. I thought "Friday" was funnier because Chris Tucker was in it and pretty much made the movie. But this one has a lot of funny moments too. I especially liked the scenes with "Cheeco" the dog and "the baby momma".
Rating: Summary: funny, but not as much as the first Review: I enjoyed this movie very much. It had drug humor and foul language, so its not for the little kiddies. It had a very little plot just like all comedies should be. You don't have to pay to much attention to it. All in all it was a very funny movie, but only worth a rental. Buy the first one instead.
Rating: Summary: Too Funny Review: I saw, this today I liked, it lots of swearing NOT FOR LITTLE KIDS but funny, you'll laugh....
Rating: Summary: Unfunny Review: Wow I can't say that I even laughed during this movie. Maybe a minor chuckle hear and there but that is it. The funniest moment for me was Craig's dad trying to get to the bathroom. Other than that it was just a rehash of the first.
Rating: Summary: You call this a movie? Only in the literal sense. Review: When a sequel to a movie as critically acclaimed as Friday is released, expectations are always high. I've heard people say numerous times that they were disappointed that this movie wasn't as funny as Friday. "It needed Chris Tucker." That's B.S. This movie needed a different writer, a revamped cast, and a major plot overhaul.I love Ice Cube to death, but he is NOT a screenwriter. Period, pointblank. This movie had numerous holes(Craig's motivation for leaving was flimsy if you think about it) that a much more polished writer would have taken the time to touch up on. The majority of the jokes in this movie were either variations on gags from the first film or were flat out unfunny(el Negro? Come on!). Pinky was little more than a rehashed Big Worm, only with half the importance and half the comedic value. Don't get me wrong, this movie has it's moments. Keyword: MOMENTS. When put together and taken as a whole, this movie's plot is disjointed and disorganized. Chris Tucker may have sold out by not wanting to do certain "roles" ever again, but even I can't blame him for not wanting to be a part of this mess. This one ranks right up there with Cool World on my short list of worst films of the last 20 years.
Rating: Summary: Not as funny as the first Review: First off, I have to say that this movie was nowhere near as funny as the first one. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that this one is lacking Chris Tucker. However, it's still a very funny movie. I think the best parts were the interactions with the latino next door neighbors...those guys were hilarious! I think this movie could have done without rehashing the Deebo character. He seemed to have too little involvement in the story and so his presence just seemed forced. John Witherspoon (Cube's character's father) was his usual hilarious self. His antics and bodily function gags just had me rollin'...just like in the first flick. If you're looking for a good laugh, this one will give it to you. Just don't go looking for something to top FRIDAY.
Rating: Summary: HELLO? the cast is great, but what about..... Review: JOKER? talk about someone making the movie, Jacob Vargas was great! If you went through the whole "ghetto" stage, as many young people do, you would remember him from "Mi Vida Loca". His appearance in this movie was a pleasant surprise & he was great! I didn't miss smokey at all, the new entertaining characters made up for it & then some, i was expecting a dull unneeded sequel, but was surprised by a movie funnier than the first!
Rating: Summary: Typical Sequel Movie Review: I did not enjoy this movie as much as the original. It ripped off old jokes, wasn't quite as funny, and the story line was really lame. It was just an overall horrible movie.
Rating: Summary: lovin it Review: i thought it was funny as he11, and i guess i'm the only one who thought Day-Day (Mike Epps), was better than Chris Tucker!
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: As a very big fan of Friday, I was very disappointed that Next Friday did not provide the same laughs, or nearly as many. Don't get me wrong, it has its share of chuckles, but don't expect another riot like the original. I don't think that Mr. Cube compensated for the loss of Smokey.
