Summary: Rebellious, in a conformist sort of way
Review: While "XXX" may be a movie for white suburban teenagers who listen to raprock and think they're rebellious, it manages to overcome this impediment and be an entertaining popcorn flick. It turns out to be a solid star vehicle for Vin Diesel as Xander "XXX" Cage, an extreme sports star impressed into going to Europe to spy for his country. Combining the bad action movie with the spy thriller (think Bond James Bond crossed with Schwarzenegger), "XXX" is a good deal better than it has a right to be. It is, as many before me have pointed out, a total ripoff of the James Bond franchise, complete with the unrealistic action scenes and outrageously lame one-liners. That said, the movie isn't without its redeeming qualities. Despite the its two-hour length, the plot, concerning XXX trying to stop a group of baddies with vague eastern European accents from nerve-gassing Prague, moves along pretty quickly. Of course the plot is basically just an excuse for lots of cool stunts and explosions, and the movie doesn't fail to deliver in this aspect. Although I'll be the first to admit that it's all pretty mindless, it's hard not to enjoy such scenes as XXX driving a sports car off a bridge, riding a serving tray down a railing, and outracing an avalanche on a snowboard. There are some pretty nifty visuals as well, most notably Asia Argento as XXX's Russian love interest (yet another plot point lifted straight from the Bond series). For the most part, the acting is pretty good, certainly better than that of most of the bad action movies of the '80's (not that I don't like those movies). Deisel is clearly a talented actor, as he manages to keep his dignity even when uttering lines that would make Sean Connery and Roger Moore wince. And of course, Samuel L. Jackson is always reliable, and he seems to be having fun as the government agent who may or may not be on the level. Overall "XXX" get my thumbs-up, even though it does cut it pretty close.

Review: For those of you "ranting" about how cool the stunts were in this piece of ... movie you should know the truth; one of the stunt doubles for Vin Diesel was killed in the paragliding scene. His name was Harry O'Connor. Knowing this fact will probably make you ... think this movie is even more cool.

Review: Ok, I'm going to make a list of movies stars did for the cash.
This will be in the top ten. I like Vin Diesel, i admire his persistence and even think I met him long ago when he was abouncer. He's also a Cancer. He's a good nut. However like other jobs, you have to pay your dues to get to a certain position in Hollywood. And this movie is bad, reallybad. It catered to the teeny boppers watching slack jawed behind me in the theater and never stopped. The line about video games and rap music and stealing a politicians car because he opposes them in the beginning is so unamerican because don't we have the right to not agree with certain things?
Thats when I relaized I was in a video game. His co-star, while meant to be sexy, comes off as trashy and she isn't built up as the femme fatale or undercover Russian agent she turns out to be. Smauel Jackson is slightly comedic, unintentionally as a Bond-esque M and there will be a sequel. Hopefully art will entire and a good, action film will be made, not one where Vin Diesel looks like he can't act because he can act. he just can't act badly enough for this one.

Summary: Pathetic Attempt at Bond
Review: This film is awful. The plot is a twisted Bond-film scenario with only difference being that Disel isn't a professional spy, but recruited by the US Government because he appears to be tough and, at the same time, a criminal. The special effects were okay, but very predictable and hardly believable. The film also had some lines from previous Bond films, and even some screen shots that looked awfully similar to some of the past Bond movies. But Diesel is no Bond. He ... as a spy, and is an awkward actor at that.

Summary: The cheesiest movie of 2002
Review: XXX was horrible! I didn't expect TOO much from Vin Diesel in the first place, but he was even WORSE than I had expected. This movie had a pathetic plot, stupid dialogue, and the most far-out fake action sequences I've seen in years. I do not understand what the hype is about XXX. The main reason why I kept watching was to see more of Samuel L. Jackson, but even his role wasn't worth my time, and I LOVE Samuel L. Jackson. If you just have to see it because of him, let me give you a word of advice: Fastforward to the Jackson scenes. I was blown away at the stupidity of this movie. I can't believe I sat through it. Poor acting, poor directing, and poor dialogue left me so glad to see credits! This probably isn't a movie for young kids anyway. It's PG-13 rating reflects violence, language, and a scene with sexual dancing. Don't see XXX. It's a waste of time and money.

Review: XXX was a alright movie.I think it was to unrealistic.Like when he sheilded the sniper bullet with a lunch tray,and then grind down a rail with the same tray.He also couldn't do all those tricks in 4 different extreme sports at the same time.You couldn't be that goodat skateboarding,bmx,snowboarding,and motocross.He also wouldn't be able to jump through a barb wire fence, that was like 15 ft.high,on a dirt bike with no jump.Most of the other things are pretty realistic.It was just most of the extreme sports stuff.

Review: I think that Vin Diesel is a great actor and this movie is totally awesome! If you have not seen this you should because it is so good and I after I finished watching I was wanting more and more. I am sure that there will be sequels to this one and I hope they are just as good. I also love the girl in this one Asia Argento, she is so sexy and is a great actress, i just love her in this movie she has a great screen presence. I also like the GTO he drives in this it is so awesome and they supose to come back out with in 2004 if they do I would love to have one!!! So buy this movie if your a fan of action movies or if just love great movies get this one I'm sure you'll like it!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: XXX a must have for any action fan!
Review: Remember how you felt when you walked out of the Movie Theatre after watching the first Die Hard? Maybe you forgot however when you see XXX you will never forget the adrenaline rush that comes with it! Vin Diesel was awesome in this movie! It's Jam Packed with some of the best action scenes coexsisting with awesome special effects. XXX is a must have for any Action Movie Fan!

Summary: Easily The Best FIlm of The Last 50 years
Review: Coppola. Scorcese. Spielberg. Kubric.Decades upon decades of cinematic evolution have left the movie going public with... Vin Diesal! xXx not only lived up to my expectation, but surpassed them tenfold. I saw the movie because i had this feeling it was going to be terrible. Not only was it terrible, but far worse than I ever expected. So why five stars? Well it was entertaining to see the current state of what people like me call "mainstream garbage". I laughed pretty hard on more than one occassion. Also, to people that don't know any better, this really is a five star film. But who am I to disagree? Vin is clearly the best thing that has happened to the matinee since Marlon Brando.

Review: This movie will keep you glued to the screen for hours of mind numbing action sequences. It is essentially a james Bond movie with WAY more action and a tattoo'd bad boy as the main character(Vin Diesel).
Even though it was directed by Rob Cohen(FAST AND THE FURIOUS)It has very little in common with F&F except Vin diesel.
casting is great story is well..... ok action is like no other movie out there,and the acting is pretty decent.
Definitely worth buying!
