Rating: Summary: Highly engaging '80's actioner Review: Chuck Norris was able to hit the big time with this slick, extremely well paced action thriller.I did fall asleep at the end of it,but then it was 1.15 in the morning.Norris himself manages the usual grumbling, silent hero he's done before,so that it becomes almost trademark. There are some entertaining action interludes, such as the train sequence and the opening shoot out.And there is humour involved in the story by the use of the robot.Recommended.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF CHUCK'S BEST FLICKS Review: From the director who made Steven Seagal and household name in "Above the Law". This is one of the better Chuck Norris films. Check it out. Great film for those who are into action/martial art films. Chuck Norris took over from Charles Bronson as the tough action star after this film.
Rating: Summary: I'll never tell , oh go on then . Review: strangely enough , in this film chuck plays a tough guy cop . A cop who refuses to let anything stand in his way . While in line at the drive through ,he gets into a fight with a pick up truck ,the truck knows a thing or two about martial arts too ,and chuck only manages to win by threatning to have a shave . He also battles the mob ,and he insults the boss by pointing out that Frank Sinatra was short . There's car chases and tap dancing penquins . Gun fire and a pair of red slippers , that recite shakespeare . My grandmother took me to see this one , when she was out on bail , so I would recomend it to constipated traffic wardens , that wear barbed wire underpants .
Rating: Summary: Chuck Norris At His Best Review: This movie is Chuck Norris at his best. He plays the part of Eddie Cusack a Chicago cop who only wants to get the job done. He is up against two mob family's in the middle of a war, caused by drugs and family blood. While trying to save the life of one mob family's daughter he must also bring both familys to justice. Between car chases that will have you on the edge of your seat and trademark Norris fight scenes it is easy to see why i gave this film 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: CHUCK NORRIS CAN ACT. Review: This slick 1985 thriller is proof. CODE OF SILENCE stands out from the basic cops & robbers shoot-em up pack on several fronts: It takes place in Chicago, instead of Los Angeles or NYC; The dialogue is real thanks in part to the presence of Dennis Farina and a handfull of real Chicago cops in walk on roles (especially the attempted bar holdup sequence); And you have Henry Silva in a joy ride of a role as Luis Camacho, the best film drug lord since Tony Montana. The Columbian necktie reference is memorable. Andrew Davis was already doing his homework for THE FUGITIVE (1993)with great locations and a unique camera view. B+ on this one.
