Summary: Worst Jaws spin-off ever!
Review: - Faked shark effects, bad acting, "Jaws" recycled music... I'm the kind of person who can watch b-movies and enjoy them. But, this... I dont know where to start. Anyone who write good reviews and gives the movie five stars, desirves to have their VCR and DVD players trashed! At least the movie has some cool murder scenes. Other than this, it aint worth your cash.

Summary: The best shark movie since Jaws
Review: After Jaws it will always be difficult to make a shark movie which will be as action packed, adventurous and entertaining. However, Shark Attack is probably the best of the 'post Jaws' era. It would be true to say that the music didn't quite match the thrilling suspense of John William's score but the adventure was something you experience along with the actors. The movie at one point threatened to slow down a little but that quickly turned around with the introduction of the character of Roy Bishop which sprung the movie back to life again with more action, humor and tension. Definately worth a watch!!!

Summary: Not As Good As The First One.
Review: Ahem, any way...

I was going to write a long review for this, but now that I've sitten down to do it I find that it's really hard to say why I hated this movie in any coherent manner. Heck, all of it is bad! From the typical "We can't close the beaches, I might lose $5" corporate character to the Australian animal hunter (is everyone in Australia a hunter, or are these movies just dumb?) the characters are really unfascinating. The exception is the limping character who I thought was gonna die but thankfully didn't. (the handicapped characters usually die - see "Friday the 13th Part II" and "Nightmare on Elm Street III" if you don't believe me)

The acting in this was atrocious too. I loved the scene where the female lead looks out at the water with mild concern, and after a surfer is eaten her look changes to slightly more mild concern. Audrey Hepburn you are not.

From the opening scene that rips off "Jaws II" to the part where a whole pack of sharks somehow get through a tiny hole in the shark net, you won't find any real reason to watch this movie save to see some people get chomped. It does give plenty of that, I'll give the movie the benefit of the doubt. Wait...no, no benefit for this movie. I take my benefit back.

Summary: I've never seen Jaws...
Review: and never plan to. I hate shark movies, period, and find their appeal a very juvenile one. To me this was about heroism and romance. Who cares about some cheesy animatronic sharks filmed in a swimming pool and some fake blood - not me. I was completely satisfied because Nick Harris was a real hero, and that's what I wanted to see. I wish they'd make a Shark Attack 3, featuring him.

Summary: Garbage on DVD
Review: Don't let the cover fool you, that scene isn't in the film.
In fact NOTHING worth watching is in this film. It is PC garbage from openning to close. It's a made for tv peice of junk. Don't waste your time or money on this one, honestly there is nothing in this movie worth seeing.

Summary: I didn't buy this movie for the shark attacks...
Review: I bought it for the sole reason that the star, Thorsten Kaye, is my favorite actor on land or sea. The plot might have been cheesy and the special effects might have been lame and the other actors might have been amateurish. But my reaction to all that was a great big, SO WHAT? There are plenty of other shark movies on the market that are more convincing, so if that's what you're in the market for, I suggest you buy one of them. But there aren't any other shark movies that star Thorsten Kaye. He is a very talented, charismatic, and sensitive actor, who really made something out of his under-developed character. Watching him, I hardly even paid any attention to everything else that was lacking in this movie.

Summary: I had to see it to believe it...and I still don't believe it
Review: I had heard about this film with roaring, growling sharks and I thought "no way would anyone try to pull a stunt like that." But the stunt has truly been pulled. It's true. It's absolutely true.
Everything you hear about this film is entirely accurate. From the growling, plastic sharks to the blatant script plagiarism of JAWS. I have seen it with my own eyes.
So, to prevent myself from having a stroke just thinking about this horrible, awful "film", I try think of it in terms of a parody. Yes, that must be it. This film is supposed to be a parody; supposed to be FUNNY. It HAS to be intentional. There is no other explanation.
The budget was clearly less than a beggar's pocket inventory (including lint), because for an era when digital effects come cheap they could only afford about 2 minutes of digital footage at the end. The rest of the time the "sharks", when not appearing in rehashed stock underwater footage (Jacques Cousteau's table scraps I assume), are motionless plastic toys. The actors have to try extra hard to convince us that they are being eaten when they are thrashing about in a mouth that doesn't move. Spielberg had better effects than this 30 years ago.
No, I am convinced this is a parody and we are MEANT to laugh. Why else, at the very end when the heroes are underwater planting their trap, would the Aussie guy--after getting out of his little submarine--pull out a FREAKIN' HANDGUN?!?!?!?!UNDERWATER?!?!?!?!

Summary: A Good Movie
Review: I really liked this movie. No the scenes were not like Jaws as some other reviews have stated. Do these people actually think it had a budget like jaws. It was a really good movie. Stop comparing it and just enjoy it for what it is. Looking forward to seeing the movie again.

Summary: Better than the first
Review: I'm from the United Kingdom, and usually these movies get screened on our really tacky tv channel called Channel 5. I managed to catch the first Shark Attack movie one night, and although is was an abvious rip off of the Jaws and Deep Blue Sea movies, it was quite enjoyable.

So when I saw this in the video store I had to see it. And I wasn't disapointed. The lead actors seem to enjoy the premise of the movie and act very well throughout, my only jibe would be, that some of the shark effects were a little dodgy, and laughable at times.

The movie is sometimes slow, but when it's good, it's good! I think because it is a low budget movie they couldn't throw every piece of action into every frame, so they spread it throughout the movie. And the director does a good job of raising the tension.

For being on a low budget as this, I really think this movie is very good, way better than the first which was very slow. This is a movie I'd recommend to anyone who likes shark movies.
