Summary: One of the best action films ever made.
Review: People, what is the matter with you? A lot of people said and write that this isn't a good movie. Why not? It's got all the ingredients of one of the best action movies that's been ever made. It was fantasticly directed by Mimi Leder, and it has one of the greatest actors since years, George Clooney. I will always love this movie, each and every time.

Summary: A fun ride, turn up the volume!
Review: This movie is perhaps a bit longer than it should be, but somehow manages to pull you in just when you're mind starts to wander. The video is crisp and the action scenes look excellent. The sound is also excellent, and the 5.1 track will give your rear speakers a bit of a workout. The disc also has some nice bonus features. The movie itself is, of course, a recycled and tired plot. Clooney and Kidman keep it interesting and pair up quite nicely. All in all I give this one the nod, but I will stress that it is probably best enjoyed for the 5.1 soundtrack and action scenes, and may come across a little weak if you don't have a good subwoofer.

Summary: This is why we have DVD Players!
Review: Those of us with DVD players who enjoy LOUD, RETINA-BURNING NUCLEAR EXPLOSIONS; the SCREAM of attack helicopters IN OUR LIVING ROOMS; and NON-STOP NAIL BITING EXCITEMENT, should get this DVD, close all of the curtains, pump up the volume (and the subwoofer), and LET HER RIP! This is the right movie for the job.

Review: What are you reviewers talking about? So there aren't any red-eyed night vision goggles, and maybe Clooney wouldn't have so much influence at the Pentagon, do you think there is really a Godzilla? Do you think there is really a Darth Vader? No, you see The Peacemaker is a MOVIE. Not all movies are DOCUMENTARIES. EVERYONE: TO not buy this movie is to cheat yourself of a FAST , EDGE-OF-YOUR-SEAT, ACTION-PACKED thrill ride that will SPEED UP YOUR PULSE from beginning to end, especially with a heightened DVD experience.

Summary: A Refreshingly Witty Action Film
Review: Let's face it- George Clooney's history of action movies has been spotty and typically cheesy (take the latest Batman installment as an example). However, 'The Peacemaker' seems to be an improvement over most of his movies. This is one of those movies that you simply wait until it comes out on HBO or Showtime to watch. It's not that bad of a film, but then again, it's not that good either. I give it four stars simply for the amusing character foil of Clooney and Kidman (whether scripted by accident or design). The script is so-so, but this film's best high points are the witty antics of Clooney and the foiling "matter of fact" no-nonsense attitude of Kidman which contrast each other sharply. I personally found this film more humorous than anything else. Some scenes seem ackward, others are a little preachy, but none of the scenes are boring, particularly the somewhat overdone but nonetheless action-oriented Aerospatiale helicopter infiltration/attack scene. The movie teeters on a level of black comedy at various points, (like Clooney's explanation of how a guided bomb works or his approach to interrogation tactics) and for the most part I found the film really funny, especially's Clooney's explanation of "not all Bad Guys wear Black Hats" to Kidman. If you only buy one action movie this year, buy a Kurt Russel film. But if you buy two, then be sure to check out The Peacekeeper.

Summary: UTTER TRASH
Review: This is one of the worst action movies I've ever seen. I just didn't care for any of the characters or plot. It's not even set in America which makes it hard for mass audiences to identify with.
