Summary: Vertical Limit
Review: It's about a group of mountain climbers embarking on a journey. A member of the group is James Clesson and he is gay. After graduating from Cabrillo High his parents advice him to go to Los Angeles. There he meets some of his old friends and ex lover Andy Shipman. James is really egotistic and becomes the leader of the group. James and his friends embark on a journey called vertical limit. His friends abandon him because James' sexual tension intensifies. He gets on his lavish ford explorer and heads towards Colorado. That's all folks.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: Carry active bombs to climb cliffs? Were these people out of their mind? No, because the makers thought explosions were required for an action movie, so they HAD to drop the bomb, and the avalanche HAD to happen. What's more, they wanted emotional moments, so the characters were encouraged to develop a habbit of cutting ropes. The whole plot was totally forced and predictable, filled with cliche. Besides, we have seen the same avalanche scen being sampled on so many films. Vertical Limit is plain boring, but the bomb thing is simply hilarious.

Summary: Better Storyline Than Cliff Hanger
Review: Vertical Limit has some excellent effects in a film that was better than i expected. The film is about a brother sister combo who always climbed with their father when they were younger, when due to a tragic accident their father was killed. The film contiues later along the line with the children not talking to each other and living their seperste lives when they meetup on a climbing expedition. The brother played by Chris O'donnell arrives at base camp to find his sister (Robin Tunney) is the leader of a party of rich business men whos sole aim is to reach the peak of the mountain in time to correspond with the flying of a plane. (recently launched from their new airline) What follows is a film full of special effects and cliffhangers that make the film one of the most watched films of the year. Bill Paxton plays his role to the usual standard that we have begun to expect from him, which make this cast come alive and portray the film to the best of their ability

Summary: Forget the plot, just watch it for the action
Review: Vertical Limit's plot (or lack there of) is full of loop holes and implausible situations that Chris O'Donnell, Bill Paxton and others find themselves in. The main theme of this movie to be entertaining and fun, and on that level it succeeds. Of course no climbing movie would be complete with the dangling-over-the-ledges clichees or flamboyant explosions but the movie is action-packed enough to warrent the purchase.

Summary: The Trailer was more Entertaining than the Film.
Review: "Vertical Limit" is a Fun Thrill Ride, which is to be Expected, some might also want a bit of Depth, or Character. Those who do will feel somewhat Letdown. Characters with Real Emotion and Reactions, Characters who we learn about and grow to care, if your looking for Characters like these.. Look Elsewhere. If your looking for two hours of Mindless Action and Thrills.. Look no Further.The Cinematography is Mind-Blowing, the Stunts are Unbelievable, Martin Campbell's Direction is pretty Standard Issue for him and the "Personality-Plus" Supporting Cast are Three times more interesting than then "Dull-as-Dishwater" Leads. (Chris O'Donnell and Robin Tunney are as Bland and Lifeless as 2 Stale pieces of Toast) If you go in expecting Cardboard Characters, Explosions, Close Calls and Inane Dialogue, you'll have a Great Time. If you Expect More.. I'll keep an Eye out for your 2 star review. P.S. If you've seen the Preview, you've virtually seen the film.

Review: Wow! This movie is just flat-out great! I really couldn't relax until this movie ended. Much better storyline than I had assumed. It should be taken as a high packed action movie for fun. Vertical Limit is pure entertainment. Probably one of the best movies I've seen in recent years.

Review: This movie was very good when I saw it in theaters. The plot had so many unexpected twists and turns, combined with action, drama, and peril. The movie is basically about an estranged brother venturing up K2 with a bold French-Canadian babe, two Aussies, and an ancient old man who has some scores to settle. Worth your share of $7 for the ticket, with lots of explosions that make this movie action-packed. Rated PG-13 for brief strong language, peril, and violence.

Summary: I was entertained
Review: I found the movie entertaining if you like adventure and drama. I agree the acting had something to be desired, but when you use a real climber/mountaineer that actually has been on top of every major peak in the Nepal, is acting the prime concern? The movie will set most of the unknowing on the edge of their seats. Those of us who indulge in the reality of climbing and or mountaineering will question their every move made and every incident that happens. Take the movie for what it is, somebody elses idea on film and enjoy it. Lots of great scenery, and some good "don't let this happen to you" action.
