Summary: His best one yet!
Review: This is definitely a classic. His American-made movies lack the charm and choreography of his HK ones. This is an HK one and SHINES moreso than his other treasures.

And his "nude run through the bazaar" is hilarious as well!

Summary: Bare Bottom Jackie Provides (Some) Laughs
Review: This is the latest Jackie Chan HK film (from last year) that concentrates more on the story than the stunts - even though there are some new stunts that will "wow" his fans. This movie takes us around the world watching Jackie get in and out of trouble. The best scene is the bathroom scene - can't miss.

Summary: Different, but still great
Review: This isn't Jackie Chan's normal run-around-and-beat-up-the-bad-guys movie. This one actually has a plot. Yes, this does have an impact on the amount of action, but doesn't really detract from the movie.
The action that is there is about average. It can't compare with Drunken Master 2 (Legend of Drunken Master), then again, nothing ever could. Face it, the dude's getting older. He's almost fifty. Be glad he hasn't retired from doing his own stunts yet.
The production quality of the film is a little on the lower end, especially when you compare it to the Hollywood look of Gorgeous. Accidental Spy's budget was higher, but some of the camera work leaves much to be desired.
Putting that aside, the movie is one of his best as an actor, and should be given the highest praise.

Summary: very surprising...
Review: This movie hit me with those feeling when i was watchin ForesGump. This Movie is not your regular jackie chan movie. Sure it has crazy stunts and action but this movie has a plot.
Jackie chan also shows his growth as a Actor not jus a martial art actor, and that was refreshng to see( comeon theman is almost 50 now. he should be getting serious bout acting)

storyline : kinda slow throughout thewhole movie. but very creative and good.

id give it more than 5, and for new Jackie Chan fan's....dont see it unless you really appreciate HK cinemas...watch Wheals on Meals and Project A first

Summary: Jackie Chan must be getting old
Review: This movie was soo boring. I now know that comments about the film on the cover are all lies. In Sweden it said; "Its so action packed it makes "Rush Hour" go in slowmotion". This was only for Chan to prove that he can make a movie creep slower than a frozen snail. He rarely fights, and when he does, he doesnt do any cool moves and he lacks speed. He doesnt do any dangerous stunts anymore and he is even using special effects to do some athletic scenes in his other movie "The Tuxedo". He himself said "I dont use special effect, I am the special effect" what about now? Hope he gets better with "Shanghai Knights".

This ... wasnt even worth to rent. He doesnt even give many laughs these days.

Summary: Very Good with reservations
Review: Well where should I start, this is a very good film in it's own way but it really isn't a classic JC movie. It's kind of serious and what amusing parts that make it in the film are somewhat forced feeling. It's kind of like he said, "We have to add some comedy." Or something. Plus at the end of the film is a totally useless sequence where he get's involved in some crazy truck rescue thing, totally nonsequeter to the plot. It shouldn't have been filmed. It was a waste of time, because the plot was wrapped up. It seems like all I can say is bad but really it was good, it's just this movie shows that JC is getting on in life and trying to be a "serious" actor or something idiotic like that when he really shouldn't and furthermore CAN'T do that. It defies all that has made him popular in the first place! In fact he's doing exactly what he used to say he hated, namely Imitating other actors that are more "serious" and or popular. Bad move there.

Summary: Another Hit For Chan
Review: When a borrowed this off a mate, i was wondering why it had never been released in the cineama's in the UK. I wondered if the film was weak but when i watched it i was proved wrong.

Jackie gives a strong performance in this Hong Kong spy thriller. He is a gym equipment saleman when a dectective tells him he is the son of a Korean spy.His father is on his deathbed when Jackie sees him but it turns out his father was a double agent and some turkish drug lords are after him. The plot is silly but it gives jackie a chance to do some spectacular stunts.

Right from the beginning when he crashes through a building wall on a crane to the end when he is on a burning lorry, the pace of the movie never slows. You would never guess that jackie is almost 50 with the stunts that he performs in here.My favourite scene was when Jackie was fighting the Turks in the market (semi naked) used every item possible to defend himself. It is classic Jakie Chan action from the word go.

It is a succesful return to Hong Kong theature for Jackie after some Hollywood films (Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon) but he once again proves he has got what it takes. It may lack a good plot and some of the intense fighting of Chan's older Hong Kong flicks but The Accidental Spy is defeniatly one to see.

Summary: ALWAYS stay with original
Review: Why American production make HK movies look so cheap? First of all, they cut off so much scene, second of all ruin it by making look acting so dumb by English Dubb. For ANY of HK movies, ALWAYS stick with ORIGINAL LICENSED HK RELEASE. Be careful with cheap imports, boots though.

Summary: Jackie Chan's not old yet!
Review: With the few stunts sequences in Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon, many people were starting to wonder if Jackie Chan was getting too old to do them anymore. Accidental Spy proves them all wrong.

In this film he crashes through a building on a crane, fights in a turkish market naked (using whatever is availible to fight AND keep his dignity) and has an action paced car chase with a flaming fuel truck. If you like jackie chan, you'll love this film.

His stories are getting better too; while his older works were usually spoofs and obvious comedy's, his later have had less "double takes" and more emotion. Jackie really is a great ACTOR ontop of his martial arts skills (see "gorgeous")

if you want a mindless action packed Jackie Chan film, try this one out, though you may find it's not as "mindless" as you might think!

Summary: Wow !!!!
Review: Wow !!!

You know Jackie is in his mid- 40's and I really thought , particularly after seeing Rush Hour 2 that he was not going quite as crazy with the stunts as he used to be and he was finally slowing down a little bit. I mean he sure doesn't have to prove
anything to anyone anymore. Besides he has enough charisma that he simply doesn't have defy serious injury with a wild stunt in every film he makes anymore.

Well about the time Rush Hour 2 wrapped, Jackie made this movie.
And it's another way over the top action packed film. The film feels closest to Supercop in that we have a big show-stopper of
an action finale. In this case that's a 20 minute action/chase scene that rips off the original SPEED but it hardly matters. Jackie does it better as usual.

The film takes a little while to get started and it sets up a pretty silly scenario that thrust everyman Jackie into the position of being a spy/hero when he really doesn't want to be.

We go from Hong Kong to Turkey and the locations we're treated to in Turkey are a lot of fun. One of the funniest action sequences in any Jackie film is in this film and involves Jackie winding up absolutely naked in the middle of the public market !!!!.

The film has a few continuity problems and a stunt doesn't quite turn out as spectacular as planned (the dock collapsing scene doesn't have the impact it should). It's subtitled but parts of the film are in Chinese, Turkish, and English.

The film was supposed to be released in a U.S dubbed version in December but I suppose the plot involving an Ebola like chemical substance made some get cold feet. It's a very silly fairly unbelievable plot like most of Jackie's films.

If you're a Jackie fan this is one of the best he's done in years. Don't miss it. !!!!!!
