Summary: I Didn't Have High Expectations, But Honestly!
Review: Now, this movie seemed right up my alley. I was looking for a blockbuster, throwaway popcorn flick. Bang Bang Shoot-Em Up. I liked the Fast and the Furious, and Vin Diesel without a shirt was worth my ticket price alone, that's the two stars. But frankly, this was BORING. VERY VERY BORING. It doesn't make any sense. I mean, if the poison has to mix first, just tell em it's been launched and blow the thing out of the water before it's mixed. Crimony didn't they just SAY that it became harmless? It's just stupid. Vin Diesel DID have some good dialogue, the script wasn't that bad, but this movie, to put it simply, is BORING.

Summary: Vin Diesel is very easy on the easy................
Review: As he makes your body tremble with erousing excitment. I have seen the movie twice so far and it keeps getting better with each time. This is a must see thrill ride that uses a James Bond theme with a new age in-your-face edge. Diesel plays Xander Cage an Extreme Sports dare devil, who tapes his stunts calling them the Xander Xone. He doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything, especially hi-ranking political officials. One of his stunts lands him in a position having to help an Agent Gibons played by Samuel L. Jackson. He has to infiltrate a Russian mafia-like organization called Anarchy 99 and stop them before they ruin freedom as we know it. Go see it, you won't regret it!

Summary: I Loved this movie
Review: There comes a time when the world can no longer rely on the foreign agent. No matter how suave, debonair, and sophisticated the agent is things just don't work out the same anymore. When that time is reached a new agent is needed. One who dresses like the gangs he is infiltrating, one who talks the same, and walks the same game. XXX presents that agent in a big way.
Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) is an extreme sports enthusiast on the run from the law. He has just stolen a senator's corvette and completed his latest stunt of taking it off the side of a bridge while filming the event for his web-site. At the after stunt celebration he is picked up by a mysterious group of men and put through the paces of multiple tests by a scarred man named Augustus Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson).
When Cage completes all the tests he has everything explained to him. Gibbons is an agent for the N.S.A. looking for someone to infiltrate a gang known as Anarchy 99. Unfortunately all the "real" agents who have attempted this were discovered and dispatched immediately. Cage is given a choice between life in solitary at a federal prison or one brief infiltration of the group.
Cage takes the assignment and infiltrates the gang. Unfortunately he isn't able to maintain the sullen viewpoint he had and begins to realize that he is doing something important. Naturally this leads to him helping foil Anarchy 99's plans.
Simple plot right? You don't see this movie for the plot. This is a fun movie and you see it simply for the action ride. Rob Cohen (director of The Fast and the Furious) takes the audience on one heck of a thrill ride with this movie. The stunts just come one after the other and are varied to, well, the extreme. Whether driving a vette through the twisty roads, jumping motorcyles through barbed-wire, snowboarding down a mountain, or diving onto a sub this is the ultimate summer thrill ride.
The pacing of the movie is perfect in that it takes you to the edge of your seat and then backs off enough to let you breathe before hitting you with the next attack. Unbelievable!!!
Vin Diesel is a monster. He moves through this movie with a ferocity and grace that is stunning. One could easily see him as this character and believe he is completely at ease doing anything that is coming up in front of him.
Is this a franchise movie? Only the box office can tell you that for certain but after the first outing all I can say is that Bond is going to have to kick it up a few notches in November or XXX will be the man to watch for action!

Summary: Vin Diesel...
Review: Am I the only person who is not taking crazy pills? Vin Diesel is a freaking dork. He is the worst actor in the world. He speaks in one tone of voice, and he reminds me of a steriod-freaked John Madden. He is NOT the next great action star. He sucks. He hasn't made one good movie, and everyone's riding his nuts, just because he's got muscles. Get off his nut sack people, and realize he needs to stay in the gym, and away from acting.

Summary: Vin Diesel at his best
Review: I have seen all of Vin's movies and this is the best yet. The action sequences are unreal. Vin is also aloud to show more personality in his character. I have told people, that ask about the movie, that it is James Bond for a new generation. Hope to see many sequels. Exelent Job.

Summary: Shockingly good Updating of James Bond
Review: Imitation is indeed the sincerest form of flattery, and yes, this is modeled heavily on the James Bond series of films. But imitation can be done badly, or it can be done well, and this film manages to do an exceptional job. A lot of people are going to dismiss this film out of hand, either because they don't like the premise, or because they are offended that any film attempts to copy James Bond, or because they didn't like Vin Diesel/Rob Cohen's last film, THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS. If it helps, however, I didn't like premise, didn't like the fact that it was in one way a James Bond [copy], and didn't like THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS. But, I loved this film. I think a lot of folks are going to be amazed at how much they enjoy this film.

The James Bond parallel is so precise that if you know that series, you know pretty much what to expect in this one. The differences are all a question of personal style. Instead of an Aston Martin, Xander Cage, Vin's character, drives a vintage GTO. Instead of a tux, Xander sports tattoos and a shaved head. Instead of snow skies, he uses a snowboard. Instead of a martini, he drinks a number of different concoctions in amazingly interesting glassware.

Like the James Bond series, the film features a beautiful woman who serves as Xander's love interest and foil. Like Bond, the film features some absolutely stunning scenery. The film is set in Prague, and one comes away from the film dying to visit. Unless all the photography is heavily doctored, one can only imagine (as someone who has never visited) that it is easily one of the most beautiful cities not only in Europe, but the world. Samuel L. Jackson, the "M" equivalent, does his usual rock solid job. The soundtrack was amazingly effective, and there are several moments with songs that on one level you know are bad do a great job of enhancing the overall effect of the action, such as early in the film, when the bad guys kill a secret agent in an impossibly stylish punk club, and he falls into the audience as if stage diving, his corpse being carried by the crowd while the band spit fire from their mouths.

Not everything is perfect in this film. Many of the stunts are so spectacular as to border on silly, and the multiple-angle cuts only serve to emphasize this. They could learn a lot from Jackie Chan, who, when he does a truly amazing stunt, simplifies the camera work to the greatest degree possible so as to call attention solely to the stunt. With the constant shifting of camera angle, one feels that they were concocting the stunt with smoke and mirrors. Also, Vin really, really needs to take some onscreen kissing lessons. I have never, ever seen someone who seemed less at ease in an onscreen embrace. But with all the sequels that will follow this one, I am sure he will have plenty of time to practice.

Summary: Imagine James Bond on speed.
Review: Take the basic James Bond idea and twist it just a bit. Instead of the suave stylish Sean Connery, you have the iron pumped Vin Diesel and some how this works.

The movie was so awesome that it is truly hard to actually capture and do it justice. I found myself cringing when he slid down the mountain, cheering when he did the corvette stunt and loving his antics toward Gibbs or Gibson - Samuel L. Jackson. The director did well with the movie because he followed a formula that works - the ones from James Bond movies - yet, its not a rip off at all it is an adrenaline rush.

It is a non-stop, heart pounding, edge of your seat, nail biting, laugh out loud, action packed movie! A good begining to a summer.

What I found very nice was the limited use of CGI stuff and just more in your face explosions that looked 'real' for a movie of this caliber.

Perhaps it has a few flaws but what 007 movie doesn't. However we have a new phrase now that we can use and although it is a rip off - again - it fits.

"Hello, my name is X, Triple X." it will be fun having two kinds of secret agent around. The one that shows us romance and the one that kicks [butt] - wait they both kick [butt]!

Summary: Holy dear God
Review: Where to start? How about this. Just as annoying as the super agent who knows everything. Always has the right tools to get the job done & full of witty remarks comes a story at the opposite end of the spectrum. Another attempt at the bumbling-idiot-that-just-so-happens-to-save-the-day cliche. Full of things that go fast, extreme sports refrences, & cheesy over-the-top male bravado. This attempt tries to capitalize on pop culture in every way. Without attacking a particular class of people, let's just say that this will appeal to those that don't mind shallow and mindless action movies. Everything goes boom and the day is saved. Oh yah. Now that's entertainment.

Summary: Talented.....Athletic......and hot!
Review: These are just a few of the words that describe Xander "XxX" Cage (aka Vin Diesel). The movie was great, the graphics were off the hook....The sound track was bangin' and the sequal, I hope, will include him and the rest of the cast members.
