Summary: A taut action thriller.
Review: The first movie blew you through the roof this time it will blow you sky high.Bruce Willis reprises his role as LA cop Jhon Mclane awaiting his wifes arrival at an airport. When he gets to the airport Jhon seemingly fears that he may be getting a feeling of dej avu unfortunately his fears are all to true.A group of terrorist are set to put Washington D.C. under seige to see the safe arrival of a forign political figure again the terrorist fail to realize that this is an area the Mclane is an expert at. Not only does he have to dispose of terrorists but he has to deal with an incompitant police , cheif as well as a commanding officer of a task force but for Jhon Mclane this is just an average day.

Far more action then the first movie but not as realistic as the first one explosive action. This one is purely just a fun popcorn flick but it's a fun one at that. Not very many options on this DVD but clear picture and incredible sound this ones combustive.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good sequel.
Review: It isn't as good as the first movie but it is still good to watch director Renny Harlin really knows how to make good explosion even though his movies don't have a good story they always have good effects and action scenes like Cliffhanger and Deep Blue Sea this is probably his best movie don't see any of the ones he made with Geena Davis those are awful. The best part of this movie is definately the incredible plane scene when Bruce Willis is trapped on the cockpit and gets on the expulsion chair (is it called like that? ) and goes up and the explosion is right there after him when he comes down the parachute opens. The camera is on top of Willis and the explosion not on a side.

Summary: Great premise, not so great execution
Review: Terrorists take over the air traffic control center and all communications with in flight planes at La Guardia or JFK. It's a chilling scenario and I have to say that the first half hour of the film was superb.

Unfortunately the film turns into a series of cliches soon after that. I felt like the director was really rushing the production of the 2nd half of the movie. He should have taken more time.

The turning point is when Bruce is blown (ejects) into the air from the cockpit of that plane. That scene was not very well shot against an obvious backdrop and the film never recovered after that. It just lost its' edge.

Worth a rental but not a purchase.

Summary: A very good sequel.
Review: The first DIE HARD redifined standards for action films, and this surpasses those standards. This draws with the original film, and in certain ways is pretty much the same, but there are allot of changes. This time the action takes place at an airport were Maclaine is waiting for his wifes plane to land. Renny Harlen takes over from John Mcteirman, and does a good job directing the action scenes[which there are allot of]. This time my favourite scene has to be the snow chase were they're all on snowbikes. There is a darkly comic scene in which the badguys[disguised as demolition men]walk into a church. The vicar says"I feel so sad.I feel that when this church is destroyed part of me will die with it".One of the bad guys says"You're right",then shoots him. Well,if you liked the original then you'll love this,I certainly did. Go see this now and you won't be disappointed. P.A.B 10

Review: This review is more of a commentary on 20th Century Fox's DVD transfer than the movie itself. First I'm a huge action film junkie, which is why my growing DVD collection (and enormous VHS library) are full of movies from the genre. However, Die Hard 2 outdoes most of the films in its class when it comes to lack of a coherent storyline and outright bad writing with absolutely improbable scenes and boring dialogue (Can you really return a page to a phone on a commercial plane?). But what makes the DVD so bad is the poor quality of the transfer. Die Hard 2 proves that not all DVDs are created equal, AND just because you are buying a DVD does not mean that the picture and sound quality will be superior to any other format. The picture on this DVD was grainy and had an annoying red tint in the beginning scenes. But what is probably the most annoying thing about the DVD is the non DD 5.1 soundtrack although the box clearly states that the soundtrack is DD 5.1. Studios that are deceiving consumers who they know buy DVDs for the superior sound and picture quality (and are self-proclaimed audiophiles like myself) should be ashsamed of themselves. If the soundtrack is only in DD 2.0 then that should be clearly stated on the box- if there are not seperate and distinct sound information for all five speaker channes and a dedicated subwoofer than I don't see how 20th Fox can get away with representing this movie(They did the same thing on Die Hard)as having a DD 5.1 soundtrack. The bottom line on this DVD is save your money and buy it on VHS- at least you know what you're getting and it may be better anyway.

Summary: Another good "guy" film
Review: Bruce Willis makes this film worth watching. It's for guys who like to grunt while watching a movie.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great sequal, lives up to the first.
Review: I liked this movie when I first seen it ten years ago, I liked the storyline with the American soldiers turned terrorists and the plot twist at the end. Most sequals are usually a big dissapointment but Die Hard II is a good sequal and a good action movie. Better than the 3rd installment that just fed off the success of the first Die Hard by having not only evil Germans but the brother (Jeromy Irons) of Hans Gruber as the villian, how lazy and desperate a screenwriter.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A slam-bang thriller
Review: This is the best action movie since 48 hours. Die Hard 2 has everyhting top- notch acting , a great cast, and out of your mind action scences. The ending will leave you breathless and excited. See it soon !
