Summary: DONE-NOME...DONE-NOME-DONE-NOME-DONE-NOME!
Review: Suspence doesen't get much unbearable. The productions main problem (Bruce the shark) turns into Spielberg's most valuble asset. Making the audience wonder what lurks under the water until the incredible ending. The widescreen edition is now available and is much better, not to mention its THX digitally mastered, which makes an incredible difference!

Summary: My life revolves around Jaws
Review: This is probobly one of my favorite movies of all time. Titanic doesn't hold a candle next to this wonderful movie! My friends and I are still scared of the ocean, and will be for ever more! At my old school, I was known as "Jaws girl", and everyone got a big shark in their yearbook. I love movies, but this is one of the best, maybe better than Casablanca or Vertigo. Jaws is almost a legend, and if you evr go into my room, you will come out knwing exactly everything you ever wanted to know or see written, drawn, reviewed, etc. about the best movie in the world: Jaws

Summary: Anything less than 5 stars would be unfair to a classic!
Review: JAWS is one of the few horror movies that exemplifies filmmaking at its best. The acting is top notch, from the three leads (Scheider, Dreyfuss, and Shaw) to the supporters, which includes Murray Hamilton as the mayor of Amity whom you will wan't to slap by the end. Spielberg's direction can't be beat (even if the limited use of the shark was unintentional). And I don't care what naysayers claim, the shark in the first movie does not look fake -- forget the sequels, they never happened. Underscoring all of this is the suspenful and mesmerizing theme by composer John Williams. Every bit a classic. (Buy the widescreen version and get the whole picture, pan and scan doesn't even compare.)

Summary: saw it a thousand times...says it all.....
Review: Well, let's be honest.....Jaws still kicks a** after all those years.....One of the few horror-movies were there's real acting involved, especially from Mr. Shaw. When I see the crap Spielberg is making today (apart from Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's list) , it's practically unbelievable that he made this extra-ordinary movie! (Jaws vs. the Lost World?....excuse me!.....). Steven!! Wake up!!

Summary: One of the most awesome movies ever made.
Review: A fantastic film-of-the-book effort which thrills from beginnig to end. The second-half of this movie epic is clearly the most absorbing, but the build-up to the final shark-hunt is outstanding. Richard Dreyfuss is magnificent.

Summary: You Will Never Want To Swim In The Ocean Again, Never!
Review: From the beginning your eyes are glued to the T.V. It is everyones horror come true. Even though it the sequels sucked. You could never kill the Original.... JAWS. I think they should release Jaws again in the movie theaters... maybe with some new scenes or just the way it is. This Movie is the best... Thank You Steven Spielberg.

Summary: "Jaws" is brilliant!
Review: Steven Spielberg's fifth motion picture that had a theatrical release is truly one to be savoured. The sheer brilliance behind the intellectual Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) combined with his decent physical condition + the raw, animalistic quality of the Ahab-like Quint (Robert Shaw) + the grim determination behind the Brooklyn-born Martin Brody (Roy Schieder) make for true cinematic chemistry. After scrutinizing this film's first sequel (it has three), I realized that the shark, while not as technologically advanced as, say, the Tyrannosaurus Rex from Speilberg's more recent "Jurassic Park" (1993), was every bit as convincing and a tremendous technological achievement 24 years ago that was not improved upon in "Jaws 2" or, as I gather, any of the other "Jaws" sequels. Everything about this motion picture clicks, from its artistic design to its screenplay!
