Summary: BEWARE WHAT LURKS UNDER THE SURFACE . . .
Review: JAWS is Steven Spielberg's greatest achievment! The awesome suspence and the kind of "don't do that, don't go in the water, SWIM AWAY!!!" approch is equaled only by the great Alfred Hitchcock. The acting makes the film seem so real and in-your-face. And one of the few movies of it's kind that you enjoy even when the monster isn't on screen! The shark dosen't even seem like a shark, but more of an emboydyment of everything evil, and everything that we fear exsiting underwater. Live shark footage added strength to the effects so sometimes you coudn't tell if you were seeing special effects or something real. The book is great (and a classic in it's own respect!) but not as good nor dramatic as it's cinematic counterpart. The films screenwriters (Carl Gottlieb and original novelist Peter Benchley) elimenated the subplots of the novel, which seriously detached the reader from the basic storyline. Making the film much easier to follow and enjoy. The music score is amazing! It's like you can't even imagine a composer (John Williams) creating the simple classic notes from his own mind. The reacently released Widescreen version is terrific! You'd be sick if you knew what you were missing in the pan-scan version (I have both versions on home video, and compare them frequently). The widescreen version is digitally remastered in THX! It makes a lot of diffrence! Rent it, buy it, whatever! Just see it!!!!!!!!!

Summary: MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME
Review: This movie is the absolute best movie ever made. No other movie will ever compare to JAWS. I can only hope they will bring it back to the theater again.

Summary: I'm sorry...
Review: I wanted to like this film. Really, I did. But there's not a scary frame in the film. The suspense falls flat, the dialogue is ugh, the characters to me were nothing more than fish food, and it's vastly overrated. I wanted SO much to have a GREAT time watching this film, but I just couldn't. I apologize, but I can't lie. I hated this movie.

Summary: The Music Kicks In And You Know What's About To Come
Review: The movie starts by using the oh so famous music. That's when you know whats about to hit. The famous shark who has helped make Steven Spielberg the man he is today is about to kill his next victim. Whether it be a helpless drunk girl, or a see Captain named Quint the shark is going to attack ruthlessly. Jaws is not another action adventure movie, its is the action adventure movie. The actors all did a surperb job bringing the characters they played to life. You could relate to all 3 main charcters because they all have a piece of us in them. Whether it be stubborn pride or foolish inexpierence, we all have those traits. In Any case Jaws is a great movie and is one of my personal favorites. Do yourself a favor and buy it, don't rent it, buy it.

Summary: Stays in your memory forever
Review: I watched this as a teenager when it first came out, and now I am showing it to my own children. Absolutely magnificent story, superb acting, unforgettable music, brilliant evocation of small-town coastal life, and quite terrifying the first time you see the shark bite! Will last as long as they make movies.

Summary: One of the best movies ever made
Review: This movie has you on the tip of your chair for the enitre show. It has a great story plot with the inclusion of a fifty foot shark. I personnaly love romantic comedies, but I made an execption to my rule, and aw this, and simply loved it. Richard Dreyfuss is so cool, and makes the movies into a great one of our time. In summary, I loved this movies, and if you have never seen it, see it now and today!

Summary: A terrifying journey into the world of a monster
Review: An all-time classic. One of the most fascinating yet horrific encounters of our generation. Speilberg brings you into the world of a 20+ foot Great White shark, that has only one thing on it's mind;dinner. The film takes place on the New England island of Ammity. A quiet town known mostly for it's beatiful beaches and summer resorts. But when a man eating shark starts devouring vactioners, the town police cheif(Roy Schieder) must find a way to kill the fish. He contacts marine biologist Matt Hooper(Richard Dreyfus)to help him destroy the predator. Along with the help of a fisherman named Quint(Robert Shaw)the trio set out to destroy the shark. Filled with intense action scenes and great close-ups this movie will have you writhing in suspense and horror. This truely is one of the all-time great horror flicks and is my favorite movie. I recommend this to anyone who enjoyes a good scare.
