Summary: We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat!
Review: This is one of the most superb films ever made. Spielburg out did himself in this masterpiece. This film held on to drama while still dispensing bone chilling fear. Dreyfus, Shaw and Schieder were at the top of their form. This movie is of the same quality of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Saving Private Ryan. The outtakes and trivia game are wonderful. I recomend this film to you without reservation. This is a film you don't want to miss!

Summary: Worth the money!
Review: I got this new anniversary release only for the "Making of Jaws" documentary and I can honestly say this was well worth the money. The second tape comes with deleted scenes from the film, some great outtakes, and several different original 1975 trailers for the film. The documentary itself was excellent. Spielberg takes you back to 1975 with home movies of behind-the-scenes action, discussing the technical aspects of making the film, all of which was very, very interesting.

I definitely recommend buying the video.

Summary: JAWS DVD 25 Ann. Edition
Review: AWESOME MOVIE! (as always) This movie could have been released bare-bones and still be my prized dvd. However it is loaded with some great features like deleted scenes a couple of outtakes and a Making of documentary (which eliminated the need for audio commentary however I like watching a film along with the filmakers and actors), and other production stuff. Many thanks to everyone involved in the creation of this amazing tale for it took so much to make. My only complaint is that it took so long to get released but it was worth the wait. That DTS rules!

Summary: The original "Summer Blockbuster"
Review: This is the movie that created the term Summer Blockbuster, and it's not hard to see how this film could have influenced movie making into what we know today. It has a terrific script, great direction from Spielberg,a fitting cast and great thrills. The only thing holding back this DVD release from becoming THE movie to buy are the really dated and fake looking shark effect;after seeing movies such as Deep Blue Sea,Jaws's white shark looks like a Muppet Show doll!Still, this is a great film,no doubt about it.Now if only someone would update those special effects like they did with the Star Wars trilogy(special edition)..hmmmm

Summary: At Long Last
Review: At long last, Jaws on DVD. Why did it take so long? I have watched the VHS version many times and always marvel at how poorly a really good picture can be transferred to tape. DVD makes all the difference in the world.

I needn't go into how good the movie is. We all know that. But the DVD is GREAT!

Summary: Hooray for Bruce
Review: I cannot describe how happy I am to have my favorite summer movie reissued and expanded upon. Bruce (the name all us lifegaurds gave the shark) is the ultimate "things that go bump in the dark" monster. The picture quality is great and the sound has been enhanced. All the additions were aparently made under the supervision of Speilberg. This is a movie classic and a must have for any collection.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An excellent Classic
Review: I though this was an excellent movie. This is one of the few movies that I could watch a million times and not tire of it.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: 5.1 a disappointment hope the DTS is better
Review: I was really disappointed in the outtakes and the overall surround sound. 2 outtakes that are not amusing and what surround sound? not sure what the professional rating of 4 on sound was listening to but there were many missed opportunities for effects here. I wasn't expecting great but definitely wasn't expecting so poor. I have the DTS version on order and had rented the 5.1 dvd. I just hope the surround format makes a better transition.
