Summary: THE BEST........?
Review: Cradle 2 the grave is not bad at all but i don't think that it is the best action movie of DMX. Jet Li... I think is at his best in this movie. specially in the cage match.
The story is very good and suspenceful. DMX's character is not that defined in the movie (weather he is a bad guy or good)
I think the best part of the movie has to be the end fight with Jet Li.
The only thing I DONT like was that Jet Li was fighting most of the time with one hand in his pocket.

If you love to see DMX then I suggest that u watch Exit wounds.
If you love to see Jet Li then I suggest that u watch Romeo must Die.
If you love to see both, than Stay to Cradle 2 the grave.

The 2nd Best kick @$$ Fu***ng movie ever seen

Summary: way corny and Jet Li shouldnt of been in this
Review: boring and horrible heist/kidnapping/trying to recuse the kidnappe movie with DMX's daughter being kidnapped and Jet Li a cop who helps him. the plots dumb and the action is mindnumbly painful. DMX has to much neck wear and Jet Li should of stayed out because his movies are getting crappy lately. for fans of the rapper who was much better in Romeo Must Die and who had a small part.

Summary: Better than average
Review: OK, so!
Mr. Bartkowiak left an established career as a director of photography to become a director. On this new path he chose, he started making action movies. Good for him, because he knows what he is doing.

After John Woo migrated to the U.S., after Jackie Chan's "one film in the U.S. one film in H.K.", came Lethal Weapon 4, and a new genre was born.

AsianHollywood. And mr. Barkowiak was there from the beginning.
3rd movie of his. Better than the first, worst than the second. But still, a lot better than the maistream action from hollywood. The guy uses the same actors, feels comfortable with them (everybody does it... Burton/Depp, Spielberg/Hanks) and makes us feel comfortable with them.

The story is simple. Seen it before. BUT not through mr.Bartkowiak's eyes.

The best movie Jet Li has done yet(in Hollywood). DMX has seen better days. It's always a pleasure to see Mark Dacascos again in a movie that actually hit the theatres.

1st, on ROMEO MUST DIE, it was JET LI.
2nd, on EXIT WOONDS, was DMX and S. SEAGAL.
3rd, on CRADLE 2..., JET LI and DMX.

ok, so we wait for the next one. His best, right? Pairing up JET LI and S. SEAGAL, and a better writer.

Summary: Somebody put Jet Li in better movies.
Review: Cradle 2 the grave is yet another churned out, overdone, and not particularly entertaining latest addition to the long line of subpar martial arts thrillers on Jet Li's American resume. To date, his only consistently enjoyable film made in the states has been Kiss of the Dragon, which worked because it focused on what we like about Li: a loner who must fend off assassins with his martial arts prowess. His other movies have either involved too much wirework, incomprehensible stories, and/or too much sci-fi crap. And for some reason, the studio execs at Warner Brothers seem to think Li should be partnered up with singers/rappers. If you ask me, it's a terrible idea, since it's often better to place someone with at least marginal acting abilities beside Li's quiet, kick-ass charisma.

Cradle 2 the Grave could be entertaining if director Andrzej Bartkowiak weren't so concerned with giving the fight scenes so much flash, or maybe if the comic relief weren't in the hands of Tom Arnold (who does get off a few decent lines) and Anthony Anderson, the latter of whom is simply becoming the most grating actor working in Hollywood. The opportunity for a thrilling climax is sidestepped altogether. What should have been a showdown for the ages, Jet Li vs. Mark Dacascos, is a rather short one-minute fight sequence that's lazily intercut with two other fights, one of which is Gabrielle Union against Kelly Hu. For some reason, watching Union put up martial arts moves simply isn't convincing.

One need only to look at last year's The Transporter to see how a simple martial arts film can be done right. The Jason Statham vehicle was a success because the film wisely knew to let its star steal the show, not put too much excess baggage in the story, and had action scenes that were actually terrifically staged and choreographed. No need for anly flash or pizazz, something Bartkowiak would be wise to learn. Till then, why not have Li just go back to working with his past directors, like Corey Yuen or Tsui Hark, guys who actually know how to craft a martial arts thriller.

Summary: Damn Good movie.
Review: I thought that this movie was hella kool. Personally i dont care for hip hop music and i didnt care for the soudtrack, but the fight scenes were pretty cool. The one i thought was the best was Jet Li's Fight Club. I liked how he was useing the midget as a weapon. (I am sorry if i might have offended short people). The Dirtbike/ 4x4 chase was also cool. But i have to jsut say that the fight scenes are EXELLENT.

Summary: FROM THE GARBAGE TO THE GARBAGE.
Review: This is perhaps the worst movie ever made next to bones. The story plot was so simple and stupid that a fourth grader probably wrote it.There is some unrealism allowed in movies, but tha action scenes in this movie were beyond fake and stupid.Jet li uses the same action moves that he does in all his movies and could barely speak english.DMX should take acting lessons first because his rap persona is all too evident in the movie. There is way too much rap in the movie and one wonders if they are just promoting their music. To conclude, this is a very poorly made film and I hope nobody buys it.DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!!!

Summary: Too much rap, not enough Jet Li
Review: Get this: Jet Li and Mark Dacoscos are BOTH in this movie; and their fight scene is not spectacular?? It was tepid at best.. What happened??? DMX happened.

This movie had way, way too much rap ...: the DMX character was just plain dumb, his street-talking cronies were annoying and the whole subplot with the daughter was ridiculous. To make matters worse, the director was constantly taking the camera away from Jet Li's amazing fight choreography to focus on DMX's stupid stunts and "acting" (Well, at least he did'nt start rapping in the middle of the movie). Imagine "Romeo Must Die" without all the good fight scenes, yuck.

Yeah, stuff blows up real good, there are some good looking hoochies in the film, but I expect much, MUCH more from a movie with both Jet Li AND Mark Dacoscos.

Jet Li fans: Buy "Kiss of the Dragon" or "The One" instead.
DMX fans: Yo, just keep watching MTV, dog.

Summary: Fast ACTION, Good ACTING. NOT BAD AT ALL...
Review: ...though it is the usual rehashed Asian cop comes to America with way too much cursing, I couldn't help but love this movie. It was nice to see the criminals learn their lesson and change their ways in the end. I truly liked that aspect of the movie.
This movie is FANTASTIC. The fight scenes are fast, smart and amazing. I didn't care for Jet Li with his hand in his pocket, in some of the fight scenes, but I suppose it was their attempt at trying something different and I can respect that. This is easily one of Jet Li's best films and in my opinion he doesn't have many.
DMX is surprisingly a very good actor. I can't stand his filthy music and what's up with the teeth, hasn't he made enough money to get them fixed?(maybe that is fixed?) Nonetheless, he is very good in this film and I give him many kudo's for a job well done.
Tom Arnold is great comic relief. He had us rolling on the floor with his crazy one-liners. He really helped the movie move alone as it should(he is also great in the movie 'True Lies').
OVERALL it's a familiar story-line with some clever twists and amazing action scene sequences with special effects that really bring the action to life. 'Cradle 2 The Grave' is a fantastic action flick and I highly recommend it.

Summary: absolutely terrible
Review: This movie is a complete waste of Jet Li's talent as a martial artist. Fights are not bad by american standarts(which is not saying much). DMX is playing a lead role which is a joke since he has no talent(playing a hoodlum in a movie is not a big stretch since he is one in real life) and Jet Li is redelegated to the role of his sidekick. Very dissapointing.

Summary: Let's give it up for Jet Li !!!!!!
Review: Sure, like Gabrielle Union could really beat Kelly Hu (I could not buy the outcome of that fight for a nano-second.) Apart from that, CRADLE 2 THE GRAVE is one of Jet Li's best, and I think, one of the best post-MATRIX kung fu movies.

Jet Li plays Su Duncan, a Taiwanese "Kung fu James Bond" special agent on a super important mission. Professional thief Tony Fait (DMX) and his gang have stolen 50 minute black diamonds from a bank vault. It isn't long before asian bad guy Ling (Mark Dacascos) demands that Fait turn the diamonds over to him. Even if Fait wanted to (which he doesn't), another crimelord has already stolen them from him. So Ling and HIS gang, including right hand babe Sona (the lovely Kelly Hu) kidnap Fait's daughter, and demand the diamonds as ransom. Fait joins forces with Su to retrive the stolwn diamonds and rescue his daughter, but it seems that the diamonds are more than just that.

First and foremost, let me just inform people who will only feast their eyes on down-to-earth, reality-based martial arts sequences, you can breath a sigh of relief. There are no special effects to steal the show away from Jet and Mark. I think it's cool to use special effects and wires to juice up martial arts sequences, on the condition that the combatants actually have superpowers rationalizing their superhuman stunts (Okay, so I loved CROUCHING TIGER even though it didn't hand me that rational on a silver platter, but that's another story.)
Maybe now, guys like Joel Silver are starting to realize that unless the character is superhuman, he shouldn't be overshadowed by special effects, particularly with Jet Li, because he is a living, BAH-REETHING SPECIAL EFFECT.

Next, let's talk about the movie's appeal. It's full of more than enough action to please fans of both Jet Li and Mark Dacascos. I especially loved the huge battle in the ultimate fighting tournament,as well as the final showdown between Su and Ling.

There's really no simpler way 2 put it. This CRADLE rocks.
