Summary: A Movie I Can Relate To
Review: I thought "The Professional" was outstanding! This action-packed drama full of the wonderful mixes of suspense and violence is garunteed to leave you breathless! I cried bags at the end! It's plot relates to that of "Terminator 2" but with venegence squeezed in there. Now, I'm not really a big softy or anything but I want you realize how POWERFUL "The Professional" was: it was strong enough to make me cry. Although I'm justa 14- year old girl, I GIVE THIS MOVIE 5 STARS....hey, everyone's a critic, haha!

Summary: Best action-drama movie I,ve ever seen!!!
Review: This is probably the best of a rare type of movie: one that appeals to people who like heart moving emotional movies, people who like action movies, and the average movie fan as well.

I was recommended this film from a bunch of Natalie Portman fans claiming that this was a great movie and her best performance. They were right. This was a great movie. Everything was well done and the acting was much better than some of the Academy Award winners have ever done in their career. Especially little Natalie. Probably why George Lucas picked her to play the Queen. Action sequences were awesome and I really gotta find the Director's Cut version. Go watch this movie and you'll have a new taste of what a REAL good movie is.

Summary: Why can't I give this 10 Stars?
Review: Absolutely brilliant! Luc Besson has done it again! He is indeed a critically acclaimed writer/director. The music is beyond anything I have experienced (with the exception of one little Star Wars movie), Eric Serra is magnificent! The acting, proves that there is no substitute for it, simply great! Jean Reno as the convincing Léon, the cleaner; Natalie Portman as the little 12-year old girl who sadly lost her cuddly brother and the family she hated (stepmom, dad, halfsis); Gary Oldman, a wicked, psycho DEA officer; and Danny Aiello, an italian bossman, Godfather? No, just... Tony...

Great, wonderful film, my respects to Besson for a job well done and for the actors and everyone else who worked on this truly brilliant Masterpiece!

Summary: Luc Besson's masterpiece
Review: 'The Professional' is Luc Besson's finest film, greater even than 'La femme Nikita'. It is violent, yet subtle and complex as it traces the tortuous yet trusting relationship between Jean Reno's character of the introverted misanthropic hitman Leon, and the 12-year-old girl he is forced to adopt and care for, played brilliantly by the beautiful Natalie Portman. This would be enough by itself, but as a bonus we get Gary Oldman's performance as the corrupt New York cop: it's a minor miracle of characterisation.

Jean Reno's character Leon embeds itself in the viewer's psyche - he plays the role with formidable gravitas and with an underlying pathos. But if the film is dominated by anyone, it is by its young star Natalie Portman, street-wise beyond her years, at once both tough and seductive; the ultimate New York Lolita. This film becomes more impressive with every viewing.

Is this Natalie Portman's best movie? Well, it's the only one I've seen -- email me with suggestions if you can!
