Summary: john woo is losing his style...
Review: half the tards who reviewed this never even seen any of john woo's greater movies, but what do you expect from the american entertainment industry today. and for the guy from australia, you just don't get it do you? you'd probley think evil dead 2 was a serious horror movie and think its trying to scare you. clockwork orange and apoc was the best you could come up with to make yourself look film educated. anyways, this is a OK movie, its a great junk food movie to watch with friends but i recommend john woo's earlier films, the movies he makes over here in america just arent good, he doesent have to do stuff the boring american way but he trys to and leaves out all his great film making genius. this is goofy gunslinging fun, its not too deep for matrix fans and its not too shallow for RAN fans.

Summary: Excellent action movie
Review: Firstly this film has got John Travolta and Nicholas Cage who are really good actors and are perfect for this kind of movie. There are so many surprises and really good gun fights. There is a pretty good script too. I love the part where Nicholas Cage sais 'Well if you're Shawn Arthur ,I guess i'm Caster Troy`and then hangs up. Anyway cool movie deffinetly worth seeing.

Summary: Rich, powerful, must-see!
Review: One of the best movies that deal with the idea that cosmic bonds, being what they are, have linked these two characters in so many different ways that they are, essentially, brothers. Not many action films take the time to develop characters, and even less to the extent that Woo has fashioned here. Although I would say that the Christ-figure imagery toward the end is a bit over the top (a Savior without a Rome to contend with and without a band of disciples to die for), this is still a great action film - a MUST-SEE!

Summary: loved it :)
Review: This movie is one of my favorites. John Woo did such an excellent job with the storyline and casting the parts. John Travolta and Nick Cage performed brilliantly as usual. They have such chemistry together I would love to see them acting together in another action movie in the future. Face/Off is packed with action with just the right touch of humor to please most everyone. The storyline is unique and interesting; not tired and outdone like some action movies Ive seen. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants the thrill of action and the laughter of comedy with a few touching scenes. This movie is everything rolled into one.

Summary: Excuse me Amazon, where is the zero star option?
Review: Like 'Con Air', 'Face/Off' is really really bad. Why? Let me elaborate. I am a fan of 'The Rock', I think things really came together in that movie: direction, filming, sound, script. However, 'Face/Off' did not enjoy similar success (luck?). The script is just soooo bad that it goes beyond a joke. Trevolta (supercop) persues Cage (ametuer villan). Cage is captured. Trevolta swaps faces with Cage in an attempt to go undercover to gain incriminating evidence. Cage (now Trevolta) awakes and plays around with Trevolta's (now Cage) family and life. Gun battles follow. The two meet. They duel. Supervillan Trevolta (Cage) is killed by an anchor or speargun or something alone those maratime lines. Predictable, shallow and transparently manipulative, 'Face/Off' fails to win me over with its 'hard' violence and dialogue. Instead, it makes the director and writer(s) look like teenagers, playing around with guns and F-words but not really knowing what to do with them. Whatsmore, the severe lack of plot and character development left me at the end of the movie wondering two things: (a) Is that it? and (b) Why did I pay new-release rates for this travesty? I now have an answer to one of those questions, unfortunately not the second one. If you want wotan violence try something like 'Lock, Stock and Two-Smoking Barrels', if its rude words your after try 'Pulp Fiction' or 'South Park', if its depth your after try 'A Clockwork Orange' or 'Apocalypse Now'. Just don't even give this movie a chance because it simply does not deserve one.

Summary: Absolute spellbounding performance by two brilliant actors
Review: This movie really shows a spellbounding performance by two brilliant actors. This, combined with the usual John Woo trade of making use of slow motion effects to capture some of the drama of the film, really makes for a superb film. The opening scene, combined with the emotional Hans Zimmer soundtrack, makes for a real moving, yet immensely powerful experience.

This must be a benchmark action drama, by which I most certainly will rate every movie to come.

Summary: For high pace action, this is a must see for action fans.
Review: With this film, John Woo has established himself in the movie industry as one of the best directors when it comes to action. He chose his cast carefully. John + Nicolas = Blockbuster

Summary: Where there is John Woo, there is the difference!
Review: No matter who stars in his movies. He'll make it to the ultimate, the dancing style of action which we all would love to see. Don't miss it!
