Summary: makes ya laugh.
Review: i'll just say this; anyone who likes/loves this movie more than likely took the 'pepsi challenge' seriously. i gave it one star for the comedic input that i enjoy mocking. Oh well, this film can be summed up the best by ol' ronald reagan's greatest quote from the 1990's: "what the hell is this! who the hell are you, what am i doing? "

Summary: "AVENGE MEEEE! "
Review: The fact that this ludicrous film was made without a hint of irony is what makes it so hilarious. Favorite scenes: a) the shot of the "They can take my gun when they pry it from my dead, cold fingers" bumpersticker, then the pan down to the Russian soldier prying it from an American's cold, dead fingers. Awesome! b) when the boys visit their pop Harry Dean Stanton at the "re-education" camp. Swayze drawls, "Dad...Ah luv ewww!" and macho Harry Dean says, "don't ever cry again as long as you live...AVENGE ME!" c)Swayze intones gravely, "Don't cry...let it turn to something else...none of us will ever get to go home again, ever." What? When the war ends, go home! And why the hell would a huge army division occupy a little town that doesn't seem to have any strategic value whatsoever? How many troops did they have? A million? There's much absurdity to laugh at in this one.

Summary: Red Dawn Rocks!
Review: This has to be one of my all-time favorites. Only in America can a determined few stand up and fight for Democracy! Sure it's a little unrealistic that a group of teens can hold off a well trained army. That's what makes America great. A passionate few fought for what they believed in. The seen where the soldier takes the pistol from the dead man's hand is chilling. In America today, guns are looked down upon with disgust, but if Red Dawn were to actually happen, what would the American people do? Give in? All I can really say is if you consider yourself patriotic, you have to see Red Dawn!

Summary: One good movie
Review: I recently saw this flick and I was impressed. The idea that American High School students like myself could resist foreign soldiers is somewhat realistic. It reminds me of a Simpson's episode where Bart goes to camp and the drill seargeant says to him:

"You're from a public school so I going to assume you're already proficient in small arms fire."

Great Special Effects and acting. The Spanish troops actually spoke spanish and the Russians actually spoke Russian. Both had English subtitles but it did show intelligent writers. I don't like watching films where somehow the nazis speak fluent English.

Summary: Very suspenseful
Review: When I first watch this movie I was poured into its suspenseful beginning. I was also impressed by the teenage boys especially girls vlalors. They sacrifice themselves for their nation, United States. They face difficulties but fortified their minds. Even though their outcomes were not actually manifested at the end of the story, we see how their love for country help their nation to be alive. It is a wonderful and rememberable movie.

Summary: Really good!
Review: A very compelling story of high schoolers acting as a partisan band after the invasion of the United States by the Russians. It is well-acted and convincing. I must take issue, however, with the reviewer who wrote that this was one duringwhich chicks should catch up with the ironing. We like it as much, with Patrick Swayze!

Summary: Cult Classic
Review: Those who argue that it is unrealistic are missing the point. Willing suspension of disblief and all that. Placing guerilla warfare in middle America brings home the concept of partisian warfare and the Soviet ideology of the time.

It's a fun movie, well worth a rental and a sixpack with the guys, with some nifty shootouts, a bit of wry humor ("Wrong, Houston!") and a lot of future stars early in their carrers. Chicks will want to catch up on their ironing.

Summary: Un-Realistic? No more than things which happen every day.
Review: This film was fairly un-realistic, but so is the idea of a President looking America in the eye and lying. It wasn't technically correct. But it was 100% accurate in one way: If anyone, Russia, China, or Washingtton D.C., tried to violently take away the freedom of real Americans, then we would use whatever means necessary to preserve our freedom. Britain learned this in the 1700's. Nothing has changed. 80% of the people will still be brainlessly led to slaughter without a whimper. A small percentage of the population have always been the leaders, the thinkers, the ones with courage and character. It still remains. I enjoy the movie but it makes my blood boil. Notice that the invaders started by taking away the guns? See any parallels to today's Socialist/Communist/Clinton America? We are free and WILL stay free.

Summary: Was This Meant As A Comedy?
Review: I can't believe that anyone ever took this film seriously. I give it two stars simply because it really defines and illustrates the paranoia and "red scare" mentality of the Reagan era.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Stirring and Compelling
Review: This movie brings a false war life. A war that never happened makes itself out to be realistic. I would do the same if WW111 broke out in my state. This movie showcases many stars before they were stars. This movie helped their careers and they went on to become big. It is a good war movie and should've gotten an academy award.
