Review: The Best film I ever seen

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A "must have" on DVD
Review: Even if you've seen it before, or own it on VHS, this has to be seen for the Frankenheimer commentary. He gives a VERY GOOD commentary on essential details of the film you would have never ever known before. The audio and visual impact of DVD really shines through in the action sequences (car chases and gun fights). I've watched it about 5 times so far and still go back to it. Worth every penny...

Summary: Five Stars is not enough...
Review: Another incredible film from Frankenheimer! The world did not know first-rate directing before Frankenheimer. Toss in a outstanding performance by DeNiro and you've got one hell of a film. Car chase makes "French Connection" look like a ride in the park on a bicycle. Underrated during its run in theaters, Ronin is perhaps the best action films of the nineties.

Summary: A Great Espionage Thriller -- DeNiro In An Against Type Role
Review: Ronin is a great action movie, mainly due to the performances of it's cast, and two exciting car chases. Robert DeNiro, Jean Reno, and Jonathan Pryce are all excellent in their roles. Great locations.

Summary: A great action flick
Review: Ronin is the best government intelligence film of the year. The reading the back of the film cover is just not enough. It'll leave you in the dark. After watching it everything will come together. The car chase scene is unbelievable as it takes place in the narrow streets of Europe. De Niro is perfect for his role. A CIA agent who joins the group of thugs since there is no work for him in the agency. This movie is almost similar to Mission Impossible, only De Niro would kick Ethan Hunt's ass any day, twice on weekends.

Summary: This is one cool action movie.
Review: I've seen the video of Ronin and it was sweet! I'm hoping to get the dvd. The plot twists and the deep and introverted characters keep you glued to the movie. This is one of those movies you'll have to watch twice to understand. And its got lots of action. Overall this is a great film, when your in the mood for an intilectual action flik.

Summary: Worthy of my name
Review: A great combination of mystery and action. My compliments to the director on the car chases.

Summary: As Good As Spy Thrillers Get
Review: Every year Hollywood makes one incredible action film, and "Ronin" is one of them. The film boasts an international all-star cast with the immortal Deniro, the amazing, emerging Natasha McElhone (who I've loved in everything she's been in from "Surviving Picasso" to "The Truman Show") Jean Reno (making up for "Godzilla"), Johnathan Pryce (making up for "Evita"), etc. The real star is John Frankenheimer. The film is constructed with such care. Every shot has meaning. The car chase sequences are probably among the best every filmed. The energy and innovation are thrilling making one wonder what Frannkenheimer could do with James Bond.

"Ronin" is among the best action movies ever made. Wild action sequences, a smart script and great acting come together perfectly.
