Summary: Incredible chase movie, the best!
Review: Originally saw this movie on television in the early 80's, a very impressionable time for me in my young teens. Prompted me to buy my own 1970 Dodge Challenger, which I still own. That aside, the film work is extremely well done. Chase and stunt scenes are about the best ever scene on film. The Bullit chase scene was hailed as the best, but this movie blows it away!(Actually the stunt coordinator and driver is the same in both movies, Carrie Loftin) You can make this movie as deep or as shallow as you wish, either way it is a great movie! Fox did a television remake of this film in 1997 which did not do this film justice in any way. Get the original!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: The Ultimate Automobile-Art Road Movie
Review: This film is a masterpiece of the road movie genre. The cinematography is fine art, capturing a period in Americas history, a history built around the automobile and mythical lost hero of american folklore. This film is stunning.

Summary: The ultimate car nut movie
Review: I remember seeing this movie in the summer of '71 at one of the local drive in's with my big brother. Even though I was only 9 at the time, I can say this is the movie that got me hooked on high performance Chryslers. The Challenger was the perfect choice for the lead role, and Barry Neuman and Cleavon Little offered stellar supporting roles. Yes, the plot was non-existant and, by today's standards the movie is hopelessy campy, but for anyone who has longed for the open road and the spectacular vista of the Great American West this is a winner.

Summary: excellent B-movie that works on many levels
Review: Great chase movie, existential in places, certainly not as dated as Easy Rider. For those interested, check out the 1997 album from British rockers Primal Scream and a song called KOWALSKI which samples Cleavon Little(Super Soul) in the song. Highly recommended!

Summary: Great movie from a great era!
Review: I saw this movie at a small theater in Newport News, VA just after getting my drivers license in 1972. A big muscle car fan, I thought it was great. I recently purchased a 1:18 scale white Challenger R/T from the movie.

Summary: A great movie from a great era!
Review: I originally saw the movie back in '72 at a small theatre that specialises in cult type flicks. I had a "67 Charger at the time and so I could relate to the Chrysler representation. It was a great choice of car and the soundtrack compliments the scenes and action shots. The loner image projected by Kowalski is one that many of us today would desire. The freedom of the spirit and the soul enables the film to depict a time of few restrictions and political correctness. What is needed now is an organised Mopar run over the same route for those wishing to soak it all up. Then the experience would be complete!

Summary: A must see film for car buffs
Review: Every time I watch this film it gets better. The story is early 70's all the way, but you can learn about america at the time it was filmed. Exellent chase scenes. Makes you want a white challanger. Watch it more that once.
